We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation of injustice and harm caused by the negligence of a landlord. Father God, we know that You are a God of justice, righteousness, and compassion, and we ask that You intervene in this matter according to Your perfect will. Your Word declares in Proverbs 21:15, "It is joy to the righteous to do justice, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity." We pray that the landlord’s heart would be softened and convicted by the Holy Spirit to take responsibility for the suffering caused by the unsafe conditions in the apartment.
Lord, we ask that You awaken the landlord’s conscience to the harm that has been done, electric shocks, illness, skin problems, and the emotional and financial burdens placed upon Your child. We rebuke any spirit of greed, hardness of heart, or indifference that would prevent this person from doing what is right. In James 4:17, You tell us, "To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin." We pray that the landlord would not only recognize the wrong but also take swift and just action to make restitution.
Father, we also lift up the physical and emotional healing needed for the one who has suffered. You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You restore health, bring relief from pain, and provide comfort in this time of distress. We pray for provision for all the medical treatments, alternative shower facilities, and any other costs incurred as a result of this negligence. Your Word promises in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust in Your provision and ask that You open doors for justice and compensation.
Lord, we also bring before You the threats and inappropriate actions that have been faced. We rebuke any spirit of fear or intimidation in Jesus’ mighty name. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray for protection over this individual and for wisdom in how to navigate this situation with strength and grace.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would bring glory to Your name through this trial. May this situation be resolved in a way that reflects Your justice, mercy, and love. We pray that the landlord would come to know You if they do not already, and that this hardship would draw all involved closer to You. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is our righteous judge and advocate. Amen.
