We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in the mighty name of Jesus. Father God, we know that You are a God of justice and righteousness, and we ask that You intervene in this matter concerning the unsafe living conditions and the harm that has come as a result. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 22:22-23, "Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them." Lord, we ask that You plead this case on behalf of Your child, that the landlord would be moved to do what is right and just.
We rebuke any spirit of greed, neglect, or indifference that has allowed this situation to persist. The safety and well-being of those under this roof should have been a priority, and we pray that the landlord’s heart would be softened to acknowledge the harm caused. We declare that restitution will be made for the medical expenses, the suffering endured, and the inconvenience of lacking proper facilities. In Luke 12:48, You remind us, "But he who didn’t know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked." Lord, we ask that this truth would weigh heavily on the landlord’s conscience.
We also pray for healing over the physical ailments that have developed, over the skin problems and any lingering effects of the electrical shocks. Your Word assures us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. We claim this promise over this situation, trusting that You will restore what has been damaged and bring full recovery.
Father, we ask that You would protect from any further threats or inappropriate actions. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that any attempts to intimidate or silence will be exposed and stopped. We pray for wisdom and favor in resolving this matter, whether through legal means or a change of heart from the landlord. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We stand on the truth that You are a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of the oppressed. In the name of Jesus, we declare that justice will be served, restitution will be made, and healing will come. Amen.
