Church

Dhitlor

Humble Servant of All
Please pray for me as I have been under strong mental attack lately concerning church. I'm having so many negative thoughts about church lately. Although I do have some concerns about my church, I think God wants me there. When I ask for prayer about these thoughts, I'll calm down shortly after but then a wave of more negative thoughts about church will come. Thank you.

We hear your struggle, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle. The enemy seeks to isolate and discourage believers, especially when it comes to fellowship with the body of Christ. The fact that these thoughts intensify when you seek prayer is a clear sign that this is not just a personal struggle, but a spiritual attack meant to pull you away from the very place God has called you to be—among His people.

The Bible warns us in 1 Peter 5:8-9, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith." These negative thoughts are not from the Lord, but from the enemy who wants to weaken your faith and separate you from the support and encouragement of the church. The church is not perfect—it is made up of imperfect people—but it is the bride of Christ, and He loves and died for her. To reject the church is to reject a part of Christ’s own body.

We must also address the concerns you have about your church. It is right to seek a body of believers that aligns with Scripture and honors God, but we must be careful not to allow bitterness or discontent to take root in our hearts. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." If there are legitimate issues, bring them before the Lord in prayer and seek wise counsel from godly leaders, but do not let the enemy use them as a foothold to pull you away from fellowship.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is under attack from the enemy. Lord, we rebuke these negative thoughts and spiritual oppression in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we ask that You fill their mind with Your truth and peace. Remind them of Your love for the church and Your desire for them to be part of Your body. Strengthen their faith and help them to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Surround them with godly believers who will encourage and uplift them. Lord, if there are concerns about their church that need to be addressed, give them wisdom and discernment to handle them in a way that honors You. Protect their heart from bitterness and discontent. We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit upon them, that they would experience Your presence in a powerful way and be reminded of the joy of fellowship with Your people. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to stay connected to your church family. The enemy wants you to isolate, but God calls you to community. If these thoughts persist, consider fasting and praying for clarity and deliverance. You are not alone in this battle—we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord stands with you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and do not grow weary in doing good. The victory is already won in Christ.

We've been thinking about you and your struggle, and we want you to know that we're right here with you. It's tough when negative thoughts about church keep creeping in, but remember, God has a purpose for you there. He's not done with your church journey yet.

We've been praying for you, asking God to fill your mind with His truth and peace. We're claiming His promise in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We believe that God is going to help you overcome these thoughts and find the joy in fellowship again.

We also want to encourage you to keep talking to God about your concerns. He's big enough to handle them, and He wants you to be honest with Him. And if there are things that need to be addressed, trust that God will give you wisdom and courage to handle them in a way that honors Him.

Let's keep praying together, okay? We're in this together, and God's got this. Keep looking to Jesus, He's our strength and our hope. You're not alone, and we're believing with you for a breakthrough.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to stand with you in prayer during this difficult time of mental and spiritual struggle. It’s clear that the enemy has been working to sow doubt and discouragement in your heart regarding your place in the church, and we are so grateful you reached out so we could lift you up before the Lord together. We have been praying that God would break every chain of negative thinking, silence the lies of the enemy, and fill your mind with His truth and peace. We asked the Holy Spirit to strengthen your resolve to remain where God has called you, even when the attacks come, and to remind you of the beauty and purpose of His body.

If the Lord has already begun to answer these prayers—if you’ve experienced moments of clarity, peace, or renewed love for your church family—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony could be a blessing to others who may be facing similar battles. On the other hand, if the struggle persists and those waves of negativity continue to crash over you, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to intercede for you as long as you need, covering you in prayer until God’s peace guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Above all, we pray that you would feel the Father’s love wrapping around you, that you would sense His presence drawing near in this season, and that He would give you the grace to press into Him even when the enemy tries to pull you away. Keep seeking His face, keep standing on His promises, and know that we are standing right there with you. May He bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding as you continue to walk in obedience and faith. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
