Church

Dhitlor

Humble Servant of All
I have been under attack mentally strongly lately when it comes to church and the other day, I let these attacks get to me enough that I told a group of my church members something that insinuated that I might be trying to leave the church (which at the time, I really was considering). While I do have some concerns about my church (not things that are grievous or involving sin), I believe this is where God wants me. Some of the people in the group started to get worried after I said what I said, trying to convince me that we're cared for at church and not to leave. Please pray that anyone I hurt will be healed and that everything will be resolved. I'm still really under attack though mentally. Please pray. Thank you.

We hear your struggle and the weight of the spiritual battle you’re facing, and we stand with you in prayer and encouragement. The enemy seeks to isolate and discourage believers, especially when it comes to the body of Christ—the church. It’s no coincidence that these attacks have intensified as you’ve considered stepping away, for Satan desires nothing more than to weaken your faith and sever your connection to God’s people. But we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

First, we want to address the importance of the church in your life. The Bible makes it clear that the local church is not just a building or a social gathering—it is the family of God, the bride of Christ, and the pillar of truth in a dark world (1 Timothy 3:15). When we pull away, even in our thoughts, we open ourselves to deception and spiritual drift. The writer of Hebrews warns us, *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching"* (Hebrews 10:24-25). Your presence in the church is not just for your own edification but for the encouragement of others. When you spoke of leaving, even in uncertainty, it understandably caused concern because your brothers and sisters in Christ love you and recognize the danger of isolation.

We also want to gently rebuke the lies you’ve been believing. The enemy is a master of twisting truth, and his attacks often come disguised as doubt, frustration, or even self-righteousness. You mentioned that your concerns about the church are not about grievous sin, but even small frustrations can be magnified when we’re under spiritual attack. Ask yourself: Are these concerns rooted in pride, unforgiveness, or a critical spirit? Or are they legitimate issues that need to be addressed in love and humility? Either way, the solution is not to withdraw but to press in, to seek reconciliation, and to trust God to work in His church. Remember, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18).

We also want to address the hurt your words may have caused. It’s clear you didn’t intend to wound, but words spoken in moments of weakness can still leave scars. We encourage you to go to those you spoke with, humble yourself, and clarify your heart. Explain that you were struggling but that you recognize God’s call to remain in the church. Ask for their forgiveness if needed, and thank them for their care. This act of humility will not only bring healing but will also strengthen the bonds of fellowship. *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16).

Now, we lift you up in prayer. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Head of the Church and our Great Shepherd. We ask You to bind the spirit of deception and discouragement that has been attacking our brother/sister. Lord, Your Word says that no weapon formed against Your children will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), so we declare that these mental attacks will not stand. Fill him/her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his/her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we pray for healing in the relationships that were affected by these words. Soften hearts, Lord, and let Your love flow through every conversation. Give our brother/sister the words to speak in humility and grace, and let the enemy’s plans be thwarted. We also ask that You reveal any areas of unforgiveness, bitterness, or pride that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Search his/her heart, Lord, and lead him/her in Your everlasting way (Psalm 139:23-24).

Strengthen our brother/sister’s resolve to remain in the church, not out of obligation, but out of love for You and Your people. Remind him/her that the church is Your plan for the world, and that even in its imperfections, it is Your bride. Help him/her to see the beauty in the body of Christ and to contribute to its health and growth. We pray that You would use this trial to deepen his/her faith and reliance on You.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill him/her with a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit. Let Your joy be his/her strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and let Your truth be a lamp to his/her feet (Psalm 119:105). May he/she find rest in Your presence and confidence in Your promises. We thank You for hearing our prayer, and we trust You to work all things together for good, for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that this battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Put on the full armor of God daily—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Surround yourself with godly believers who can pray with you and speak life into your situation. And most importantly, draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). You are not alone in this fight. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep your eyes on Him, and He will lead you through this storm.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We're here with you, friend, and we want you to know that God sees your struggle and He's right there with you. It's tough, we know, feeling under attack and having doubts about your church. But remember, the enemy wants to isolate and discourage us, especially when it comes to our connection with the church, because that's where we find strength and encouragement.

We've been where you are, feeling confused and hurt, but God has shown us that the local church is our family, our support, and our home. It's where we grow, serve, and love one another. When we pull away, even in our thoughts, we open ourselves up to spiritual drift and deception. So, let's cling to the church, not out of obligation, but out of love for God and His people.

We also want to encourage you to examine your heart. Are there any unforgiveness, bitterness, or pride that might be giving the enemy a foothold? Let's ask God to search our hearts and lead us in His everlasting way. And remember, if it's possible, as much as it depends on you, live at peace with all men.

Let's pray together. Father, in Jesus' name, we come before You. We ask You to bind the spirit of deception and discouragement that's been attacking our brother/sister. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Heal any hurt caused by words spoken in weakness, and soften hearts, Lord, so that Your love can flow through every conversation.

Strengthen our brother/sister's resolve to remain in the church, not out of obligation, but out of love for You and Your people. Help them to see the beauty in the body of Christ and contribute to its health and growth. Fill them with a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit, let Your joy be their strength, and Your truth be a lamp to their feet.

We thank You for hearing our prayer, and we trust You to work all things together for good, for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

You're not alone in this fight. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will lead you through this storm.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
