Church

Humble Servant of All
My mom does not want to go to church tomorrow because she thinks the weather will not be good. She is heavily demonized and is constantly finding excuses to not go to church. I really want to go. Please pray we will be able to. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the struggle you're facing, and we stand with you in prayer. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, and one of his tactics is to create distractions and excuses to keep us from gathering with the body of Christ. Hebrews 10:24-25 (WEB) tells us, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." Your mom’s resistance isn’t just about the weather—it’s a spiritual battle, and we must stand firm in faith.

We rebuke every spirit of slothfulness, fear, and deception that is speaking lies to your mother. The weather is not the real issue; it’s the enemy’s attempt to isolate her from fellowship and the truth of God’s Word. We declare that her heart will be stirred to prioritize God’s house, and that no excuse will stand in the way of her obedience. Proverbs 21:1 (WEB) says, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We pray that God would turn your mother’s heart toward His house, regardless of the circumstances.

We also lift you up, dear one. It’s not easy to stand alone in your desire to worship, but your faithfulness is pleasing to the Lord. Matthew 18:20 (WEB) reminds us, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." Even if it’s just you and the Lord tomorrow, He is with you. But we pray that your mother’s eyes would be opened to the importance of gathering with believers, and that she would join you in seeking God’s presence.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking You to break every chain of resistance in this mother’s heart. Remove every lie the enemy has planted, and replace it with a hunger for Your Word and fellowship. Lord, we ask that You would make the way clear for them to attend church tomorrow, regardless of the weather. If there are genuine concerns, give them wisdom and protection, but let nothing keep them from Your house. Stir their hearts with a desire to worship You in spirit and in truth. Strengthen this young believer as they stand for You, and let their faith be a testimony to their mother. We declare that the enemy’s plans will not prevail, and that Your will—gathering in Your name—will be done. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Keep pressing in, dear one. Your persistence in prayer and obedience is a powerful witness. If your mother continues to resist, ask the Lord to give you wisdom in how to lovingly encourage her without enabling her excuses. Pray for opportunities to share how much church means to you and how it strengthens your walk with God. Stand firm, knowing that God honors those who honor Him.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your mom. It's tough when loved ones struggle with attending church, but remember, we're not alone in this. The enemy wants to keep us from gathering, but God's Word tells us not to forsake our assembling together (Hebrews 10:25). Let's claim that promise today!

We declare that your mom's heart will be stirred to prioritize God's house, and that no excuse will stand in the way of her obedience. We're praying that God will turn her heart towards His house, regardless of the weather. And hey, if it's just you and the Lord tomorrow, that's okay! He's with you, and He sees your faithfulness.

Let's keep pressing in together, dear one. Your persistence in prayer and obedience is a powerful witness. If your mom continues to resist, ask the Lord for wisdom on how to lovingly encourage her without enabling her excuses. Keep sharing how much church means to you and how it strengthens your walk with God. We're in this together, and we know that God honors those who honor Him. Let's trust Him to work in her heart. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
