Beloved Warrior
🙏 Father, thank You for grace to pray for her signaling to me You are not finished working on her. Thank You for hedging her way with thorns so she can't overtake her lovers, Hosea 2:6-7, since there will be wrath and tribulation for every soul that does evil, Rom 2:9. I ask YOU warn her family and church and get her pastors and friends involved -- and we ask one pastor is family would fear God over his family and honor You above them, Matt 10:28, for the fear of man is a snare, Prov 29:25, as You prophesied to Eli in 1 Samuel 2:29-30, 1 Sam 3:13-14, and fulfilled it in 1 Sam 4:17-18...

I've been asking YOU raise up messengers with the sword of the Spirit and still we ask, Lk 18:1, and thank You for 4 indicating they are willing to bring The Word of God to this situation, Heb 4:12, but as of yet have not... Through history You have gone out of Your way to warn people to turn, as all the prophets testify, we ask He does now, in this day, for this cause: "perchance she will repent, and escape the snare of the devil, being held captive to do his will," 2 Tim 2:25-26, and so others be fearful of sinning, 1 Tim 5:20. Let them finish the work which they said they'd do with zeal, 2 Cor 8:11, not with negligence, Jer 48:10, in Jesus' Name. May it be done gently but firmly, because of the danger of sin and so she won't stop attending church, but rather "flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart," 2 Tim 2:22. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, in Jesus' Name.

I ask again for her to be "hedged in with thorns," Ho 2:6-7, that she is not able to meet anyone at all (No more online dating, Matt 5:28, may she put down her pride, fear of people, "false reputation" and finally confess adultery to her family, myself and her pastors, Ex 20:14, 1 Jn 1:9, James 5:16-17, Old Testament precedent ps 32:5, Pro 28:13. Other men who commit adultery with her are lacking sense, for "wounds and disgrace will be upon them," Prov 6:32-33. If she repents, who knows what's next? 2 Sam 12:22. Main prayer is especially that she and we all are delivered from temptation and evil, Lk 11:4, sin, lies, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, evil men, imposters, 2 Tim 2:13, avoids those that profess to know God but deny Him by their deeds, Tit 1:16, c.f. Matt 7:23, turns away those that have a form of godliness but deny it's power to sanctify, 2 Tim 3:5, does not be deceived, Matt 24:4, especially that she is not deceived thinking she can mock God, Gal 6:7, and delivered from the deceiver himself, the evil one and serpent of old, John 8:44, John 17:15, 1 Jn 5:19, Rev 12:9, ...

Pray repentance -- That she will NOT become pregnant b/c of this, or get more diseases, be used anymore by imposters or use them, but more importantly, she would not use the grace of God for license for immorality, and deny our Only Lord and Master Jesus Christ, Jude 1:4. Please pray for her to repent and bear fruit in keeping with repentance, Matt 3:8, repent and return and receive God's refreshing and salvation, Acts 3:19 -- bad news, her one godly sister recently posted a disgustingly sensual dance of her teenage niece or daughter in short negligee -- I rebuked her sharply, Tit 1:13, they ALL need fear of God equating to hatred of evil, Prov 8:13, Job 28:28, Prov 9:10.

Lastly I ask more wisdom, clarity & inner healing, Isaiah 1:6, Jer 4:19, Ps 23:3 -- Holy Spirit strength for duties, etc, grace to fast again, Isa 58:6-12, protection from temptation, sin, deception, lies and evil for me, her, them and all of us, Matt 24:4, Matt 6:13, Zeph 3:13, John 17:15. Grace to proceed, Matt 6:10. Thank You in Jesus Name.

We hear how heavily this situation weighs on you, the long nights of prayer, the ache of watching someone you care about walk a destructive path, and the exhaustion of waiting for others to step in and speak truth. You’ve been faithful, and we’re honored to stand with you.

While you continue to entrust her to God, we want to gently remind you that your own need for healing and clarity matters deeply too. You prayed for inner healing, and that caught our attention. Carrying this kind of burden without tending to your own heart can slowly wear you down. Isaiah 1:6 paints a picture of wounds that haven’t been cared for, but the Shepherd in Psalm 23 restores souls. Perhaps a next step is to let someone trusted pray with you specifically for your own healing: a pastor, a mature prayer partner, or a small group that can help you process the hurt you’ve absorbed. You don’t have to hold all of this alone.

And if fasting has been on your heart, maybe consider doing it alongside a friend who can support you, or under guidance from someone experienced. That way, you’re not just pressing on in your own strength.

We pray with you now.

Father, we lift up this weary intercessor. You see the nights spent pleading for this woman’s repentance and for others to act. Please bring that help in Your time, raise up the messengers with courage and love. But first, tend to this faithful heart: bring healing to the pain this has caused, clarity where things feel confusing, and strength for each day’s duties. Grant wisdom about when to speak, when to step back, and how to entrust her fully to You. Guard all involved from deception and evil, and in Your mercy, draw this woman to genuine repentance and freedom. We ask this in Jesus’ name.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is entangled in sin and deception. Father, we thank You for Your grace that allows us to intercede on her behalf, for Your Word tells us in 1 John 5:16, "If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death." We stand in the gap for her, believing that You are not finished with her yet, and we declare that Your mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13).

Lord, we ask that You hedge her way with thorns as You promised in Hosea 2:6-7, that she may turn back from the path of destruction. We pray for her family and church to rise up in obedience to Your Word in Matthew 18:15-17, confronting her in love and truth. Father, give them the courage to fear You above all else (Matthew 10:28), for the fear of man is a snare (Proverbs 29:25). We rebuke the spirit of compromise and silence in the church, may they not repeat the sin of Eli, who honored his sons above You (1 Samuel 2:29-30). Raise up faithful messengers to speak Your Word with boldness (Hebrews 4:12), that she may be convicted of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8).

We specifically address the sin of adultery in her life, for Your Word declares in Exodus 20:14, "You shall not commit adultery." This is not merely a mistake but a grievous offense against You and her own body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We rebuke the deception that allows her to persist in this sin, and we pray for true repentance, confession before You and those she has wronged (1 John 1:9, James 5:16). May she no longer hide in shame but walk in the light as You are in the light (1 John 1:7). We also rebuke the men who have participated in this sin, for Proverbs 6:32-33 warns that they lack sense and bring destruction upon themselves.

Father, we pray against the consequences of her sin, may she not conceive a child in this ungodly union, nor suffer disease or further bondage to the enemy. Above all, we pray that she would not use Your grace as a license for immorality (Jude 1:4), but that she would bear fruit in keeping with repentance (Matthew 3:8). Turn her heart back to You, that she may receive Your refreshing and salvation (Acts 3:19). We also rebuke the sensuality and lack of godly fear in her family, as seen in the inappropriate display of her niece or daughter. May they all hate evil and cling to what is good (Romans 12:9), for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10).

Lord, we ask for inner healing for her, for Your Word says in Isaiah 1:6, "From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it, only wounds, welts, and open sores." Heal her brokenness, restore her soul (Psalm 23:3), and give her the strength to flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness (2 Timothy 2:22). We also pray for protection from deception, for her, for us, and for all who call upon Your name. Guard our hearts from those who have a form of godliness but deny its power (2 Timothy 3:5), and deliver us from the evil one (John 17:15).

We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on Your promise that if she repents, You will forgive and restore (2 Samuel 12:22). Give us wisdom to proceed in love and truth, and grant us the grace to fast and pray as we seek Your face (Isaiah 58:6-12). May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in her life as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. Amen.

We are praying with you, and we feel the weight of what you have been carrying. The sheer persistence of your intercession, the fasting, the appeals to Scripture, it all speaks of a love that refuses to let go. That kind of prayer is costly, and we want you to know we see it.

One thing that stands out in the long labor you have described is how much you are trying to manage, foresee, and direct, down to the words others should speak and the very sequence of events you hope will unfold. That is understandable; when someone we care about is heading toward a cliff, we want to engineer a rescue. But you have already taken the most important step: you have placed her in God’s hands again and again. At some point, releasing the timing and the exact means to Him becomes not a lesser prayer but a deeper act of trust. You have sown truth and warning; now you must tend your own soul so you do not collapse under the strain of watching for a harvest.

Healing from betrayal and prolonged spiritual battle often leaves behind a kind of soul-weariness that no single breakthrough instantly fixes. That inner healing you asked for, Isaiah 1:6, Psalm 23:3, may not come through new information about her but through the Shepherd making you lie down in green pastures when your instinct is to keep standing watch over her choices. We encourage you to give yourself genuine permission to rest, not as a retreat from the fight, but as a receiving of the strength you keep asking for.

Father, for this one who has been so faithful in prayer, we ask for the clarity and restored soul they have yearned for. Quiet the racing thoughts that replay every detail and every fear. Grant them the deep rest that comes from knowing You are at work even when nothing seems to change. Give them wisdom to know what is theirs to carry and what must be entrusted entirely to You. Sustain their body and spirit, and protect them from the weight of hopelessness. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus, our true Shepherd.

I read your plea with trembling, for the case you describe is grievous, and the arrows you shoot heavenward are dipped in the blood of the covenant. It is no small thing when a soul is entangled in such a web, and you do well to cry, “Hedge her way with thorns.” That very prayer came first from the heart of a Husband who would win back His wandering bride, and He means to answer it. Thorns are not cruel things when they keep the straying sheep from the precipice. Better the briars tear her dress than the lion tear her soul. As I have said, the slothful man imagines a hedge of thorns, but God can make a real hedge, a thicket of suffering and frustration, to block the way to ruin. Pray on, for these very thorns may be the means of her awakening.

But I must press upon you: while you cry for the hedge, do not forget to pray for the plain way. The hedge is not the end; it is the barrier. The plain way is Jesus Christ, the way of the righteous, and it is made plain by His own blood. Your many citations of Scripture show a soul armed with the sword of the Spirit, yet take care that your warfare does not overshadow your worship. The church must be summoned, yes, with the gentle but firm authority of Matthew 18. Yet remember what I have often taught: the strictest discipline must flow from the deepest fellowship with the Crucified. When the church moves, it must be with a broken heart, a towel about its waist, and the basin of tears in its hands. The fear of man is indeed a snare, but so is a bitter zeal that forgets we too were once entangled.

You have asked for repentance. That is well. But know that true repentance is not a terror of consequences only, it is a sight of sin as sin, as that accursed thing which crowned our Lord with thorns. Did you glimpse that? The crown of thorns He wore was the very curse of sin, twisted and pressed into His sacred brow. Then let us weep, for every straying step we take plaits another thorn into that diadem of His passion. Real repentance does not arise from the lash of the Law alone; it gushes from the rock when Moses smites, but it flows most freely when we stand at the cross. “They shall look on me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn.” Pray that she, and all of us, would see that vision. It is the sight of pardoning love that dissolves the heart of stone. No argument so unmasks the deceiver as the face of Jesus marred for our iniquities.

As for the instruments you hope will be sent with the Word of God, be not impatient if they delay. The Spirit is the true Convincer; men are but the pipes in His organ. He knows when to sound the note. It may be that before they speak, He will speak in that very hedge of thorns, in sleepless nights, in shame discovered, in emptiness of soul. And then, when the messengers come, their words will find a ploughed field. But be ready yourself: if you are called to rebuke, do it as those who have been washed. “Considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” Love never traffics in the currency of contempt.

She has a form of godliness, you say. Then the danger is greater, for a formalist is the hardest to heal. A man who has escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and then returns to them is like a sow that was washed, going back to wallow in the mire. But I must remind you: the power of godliness is Christ formed in the heart, the hope of glory. And that hope makes not ashamed. The very fact that you cannot let her go, that you cry day and night, is a token that the Son has set His heart upon her. He is the Shepherd who seeks the one until He finds it. And He often puts His own longings into the hearts of His people; they pray because He first prays in them.

I note also your request for inner healing for yourself and others. The wounds within run deep, do they not? The heart knows its own bitterness. The balm of Gilead is still sovereign for all that. You spoke of Psalm 23, He restoreth my soul. That is inward healing, the fresh green of His presence. The world can only tear open the wounds afresh, but Jesus binds them up. Seek that for yourself, even as you plead for her.

One word more about the church. When believers walk as lilies among thorns, they are not to be surprised if the thorns scratch them. The world’s esteem is seldom a healthy sign. The Church is never purer than when she enjoys the bad opinion of society. So if the gathering of the faithful seems small or the work difficult, remember that a few lilies among a wilderness of thorns are precious to the Bridegroom. He delights in them. And may He make your own soul a lily, fragrant and white, kept from the corruption of the age.

I leave you with this: the throne of grace is still accessible. Plead the blood. Make much of the promise. And when the hedge has done its work, and the straying one is brought to her senses, then see that you meet her as the father met the prodigal, with a heart full of nothing but Christ, ready to be a channel of His forgiving love. God grant us such a miracle, for He alone can pluck this brand from the burning. Amen and amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The prayer you offer is filled with Scripture, but take heed lest the very word you speak becomes a testimony against you if it is not mixed with a proper understanding. You ask for thorns to hedge her way, referencing Hosea. You speak rightly that God sends affliction to turn the wanderer back. But consider what the thorns truly are. They are not merely outward obstacles. The Scripture says the word is choked by thorns, and “the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.” The thorns are the desires for other things growing within the soul, the pride, the fear of man, the love of a false reputation you mention. God’s hedging is often to let the soul taste the bitter fruit of its own way until it is brought to loathe the sin itself. Your desire is for her restraint, but the greater restraint is when the conscience awakens and the gall of sin becomes its own hedge, making the forbidden thing repulsive. Pray for that, for an outward hedge alone is but a restraint of the body while the soul may yet remain a willing captive.

You long for messengers with the sword of the Spirit to go and bring the word. This is a holy desire. Yet remember what has been said: in the spiritual soil, it is not the teacher’s part alone. “It is our part indeed to cast the seed, but yours to do the things spoken for your recollection, by your works to show the fruits, to pull up the thorns by the roots.” The word is cast, but what then? The devil carries it away, our sloth destroys it, the sun dries it up, the thorns choke it. Do not think that a single confrontation, even if done with zeal, finishes the work. There needs to be much husbandry afterward, driving off the birds, rooting up the thorns, filling up the stony ground. You are asking for others to go, but you yourself have a work to do: to pull up by constant remembrance and prayer the thorns you see choking her and, I dare say, choking your own soul as well. A spirit so agitated, demanding action from Eli-like pastors while recounting the sins of a niece and the failings of a sister, risks taking upon itself the seat of judgment while claiming to seek mercy. “Thou treasurest up unto thyself wrath,” the Apostle says, not God for thee. He did all to call thee to repentance. Let that long-suffering which drew you be the very thing you model, not the demand for a swift and sharp cutting off which, if it comes without the balm of a gentle spirit, may drive the wounded one further into the snare.

You fear she will treat grace as license for immorality and deny the Master. This is a right fear. For there are falls beyond recovery, not because repentance is impossible, but because the soul throws itself away. Did you not read of the traitor? When his sin was completed, remorse came, but the devil led him out of his repentance too soon, so that he reaped no fruit from it, and carried him off by a most disgraceful death. The great danger for her is not merely that she fornicates, but that after sinning, despair or a hardened pride takes hold, and she makes a truce with her shame. What is needed is not merely a rebuke that shames her into ceasing one outward act, but a revelation that leads to the kind of sorrow that produces a repentance without regret, a turning of the whole soul. To confess the specific sin of adultery to those sinned against is a fruit of that very repentance, not a condition to earn it. Beware you do not prescribe the medicine so rigidly that you crush the bruised reed before the healing can begin.

You speak of the fear of God. What is this fear? It is hatred of evil. You rebuked the sister’s post sharply, and perhaps rightly, for that sensual display is a public scandal. But examine your own heart. When you look upon the vast ruin of sin, is there any movement of the soul except a cry for fire from heaven? Look to the example of the Master. When the world called Him a deceiver, a pestilent fellow, He did not revile in return. He declared desirable the very things men avoid: poverty, mourning, persecution, evil report. He who had all power to call down legions of angels instead took the form of a servant. Where is that spirit in a prayer that catalogs the sins of others, from the adulterous woman to her sister to her teenage niece, as if laying a charge before the heavenly court? The Pharisee in the temple also began by thanking God he was not like other men, even naming their specific sins, yet he went down unjustified. The publican beat his breast and could not lift his eyes. Which posture more truly prepares the soul to be a vessel of healing for another?

Your plea for inner healing, for the restoration of the soul, this is the center. “The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores.” This is the state of every soul severed from the life of God, including hers, including yours, including mine apart from grace. The healing you request is found not primarily in the rearrangement of another’s circumstances, but in the soul’s own return to the Great Physician. You ask for the Lord to be your shepherd, that you not want, and that your soul be restored. Then prove the truth of that prayer. Let your soul be led beside the still waters. The psalm you quote is not the cry of a soldier marshaling troops for a disciplinary action; it is the quiet confidence of a sheep who knows the shepherd’s voice and follows. A soul truly restored by the Shepherd does not gaze anxiously at the wolves, nor does it instruct the Shepherd on how sharply to use His rod. It rests, and in that rest, becomes a living testimony.

Do you want her delivered from evil men and imposters? Then show her the path away from them, which is the beauty of holiness, not merely the terror of consequence. She is asleep and snoring in the depth of night, and those who chase wantonness quench the light of the Spirit. They see one thing instead of another, hear one thing instead of another. She is presently drunk with a forbidden pleasure that has become her master. A harsh word alone might startle her awake into anger, not into life. A word spoken gently but firmly, as you acknowledge, must come from a heart that has first wept for her. The Apostles spoke of fearful things, yes. But remember that the same hand that warns of the sin unto death also travails in birth until Christ is formed in the hearers.

Therefore, let this be the course: continue in prayer for her hedging, understanding it as the inward awakening to the bitterness of sin. Continue asking for messengers, but most of all, become the message. Pull up the thorns of self-righteousness and angry zeal in your own field, so that when you speak, the seed is not cast into the air. Pray that she be given the gift of true repentance, which is not a terror that leads to hanging like Judas, but a sorrow that clings to the feet of the One who has power on earth to forgive sins. And trust that the righteous Judge, who alone knows how to give repentance and escape from the snare, will do what is right. Cease from the fervent cataloguing of every stumble of those around you, and commit them to God who alone can make them stand. The greatest hedge you can ask for is that the light of Christ would so shine that the darkness becomes hateful to her, and that His goodness would lead her to repentance. For a soul brought to the knowledge of its wounds is already being prepared for the only healing that matters.
