Father, thank You for hedging her way with thorns so she can't overtake her lovers, Hosea 2:6-7, since there will be wrath and tribulation for every soul that does evil, Rom 2:9. I ask YOU warn her family and church and get her pastors and friends involved -- and we ask one pastor is family would fear God over his family and honor You above them, Matt 10:28, for the fear of man is a snare, Prov 29:25, as You prophesied to Eli in 1 Samuel 2:29-30, 1 Sam 3:13-14, and fulfilled it in 1 Sam 4:17-18...

I've been asking YOU raise up messengers with the sword of the Spirit and still we ask, Lk 18:1, and thank You for 4 indicating they are willing to bring The Word of God to this situation, Heb 4:12, but as of yet have not... Through history You have gone out of Your way to warn people to turn, as all the prophets testify, we ask He does now, in this day, for this cause: "perchance she will repent, and escape the snare of the devil, being held captive to do his will," 2 Tim 2:25-26, and so others be fearful of sinning, 1 Tim 5:20. Let them finish the work which they said they'd do with zeal, 2 Cor 8:11, not with negligence, Jer 48:10, in Jesus' Name. May it be done gently but firmly, because of the danger of sin and so she won't stop attending church, but rather "flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart," 2 Tim 2:22. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, in Jesus' Name.

I ask again for her to be "hedged in with thorns," Ho 2:6-7, that she is not able to meet anyone at all (No more online dating, Matt 5:28, may she put down her pride, fear of people, "false reputation" and finally confess adultery to her family, myself and her pastors, Ex 20:14, 1 Jn 1:9, James 5:16-17, Old Testament precedent ps 32:5, Pro 28:13. Other men who commit adultery with her are lacking sense, for "wounds and disgrace will be upon them," Prov 6:32-33. If she repents, who knows what's next? 2 Sam 12:22. Main prayer is especially that she and we all are delivered from temptation and evil, Lk 11:4, sin, lies, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, evil men, imposters, 2 Tim 2:13, avoids those that profess to know God but deny Him by their deeds, Tit 1:16, c.f. Matt 7:23, turns away those that have a form of godliness but deny it's power to sanctify, 2 Tim 3:5, does not be deceived, Matt 24:4, especially that she is not deceived thinking she can mock God, Gal 6:7, and delivered from the deceiver himself, the evil one and serpent of old, John 8:44, John 17:15, 1 Jn 5:19, Rev 12:9, ...

Pray repentance -- That she will NOT become pregnant b/c of this, or get more diseases, be used anymore by imposters or use them, but more importantly, she would not use the grace of God for license for immorality, and deny our Only Lord and Master Jesus Christ, Jude 1:4. Please pray for her to repent and bear fruit in keeping with repentance, Matt 3:8, repent and return and receive God's refreshing and salvation, Acts 3:19 -- bad news, her one godly sister recently posted a disgustingly sensual dance of her teenage niece or daughter in short negligee -- I rebuked her sharply, Tit 1:13, they ALL need fear of God equating to hatred of evil, Prov 8:13, Job 28:28, Prov 9:10.

Lastly I ask more wisdom, clarity & inner healing, Isaiah 1:6, Jer 4:19, Ps 23:3 -- Holy Spirit strength for duties, etc, grace to fast again, Isa 58:6-12, protection from temptation, sin, deception, lies and evil for me, her, them and all of us, Matt 24:4, Matt 6:13, Zeph 3:13, John 17:15. Grace to proceed, Matt 6:10. Thank You in Jesus Name.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with fervent prayer and intercession. Father, we stand in the gap for this sister in Christ, asking that You would move mightily in her life and the lives of those around her. We recognize the urgency and gravity of this matter, and we ask that You would intervene according to Your perfect will.

Lord, we first ask that You would hedge her way with thorns, as You promised in Hosea 2:6-7, so that she may not pursue paths that lead to destruction. We pray that every ungodly relationship, every avenue of temptation, and every door to sin would be shut tightly. Father, we ask that You would raise up godly messengers, her family, her church, and her pastors, to confront her with the truth of Your Word. Give them the courage to speak boldly and lovingly, as outlined in Matthew 18:15-17, so that she may be brought to repentance. We pray that her pastors, especially those who are family, would fear You above all else, as Matthew 10:28 commands, and not shrink back from their duty to rebuke sin in love.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of deception and adultery in her life. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You would break every chain of bondage. We pray that she would confess her sins, not only to You but to those she has wronged, as James 5:16 instructs. Lord, we ask that You would bring conviction to her heart through the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). May she turn away from every evil desire and flee from youthful lusts, pursuing righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on You out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22).

We also lift up her family, particularly her godly sister who recently posted inappropriate content. Father, we ask that You would grant them all a holy fear of You, which is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). May they hate evil and cling to what is good (Romans 12:9). We rebuke the spirit of worldliness and sensuality that seeks to infiltrate the family, and we pray that they would walk in purity and holiness before You.

Lord, we ask for inner healing for this sister, as Isaiah 1:6 describes. Heal her wounds, bind up her brokenness, and restore her soul (Psalm 23:3). Give her clarity to see the deception of the enemy and the strength to resist temptation. We pray that she would not be deceived into thinking she can mock You (Galatians 6:7), but that she would turn fully to You, bearing fruit in keeping with repentance (Matthew 3:8).

Father, we also ask for protection and wisdom for the one who has brought this request before You. Guard their heart from bitterness, resentment, or despair. Give them grace to fast and pray, as Isaiah 58:6-12 outlines, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit to walk in righteousness. We pray that they would be a vessel of Your love and truth, speaking the Word of God with boldness (Hebrews 4:12) and gentleness, so that this sister may be restored.

Finally, Lord, we declare that no evil will befall her or her family, and that no plague will come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We pray that she would be delivered from every snare of the devil (2 Timothy 2:26) and that she would walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for her. May she, and all of us, be kept from the evil one (John 17:15) and walk in the light of Your truth.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We trust in Your mercy and grace to bring about repentance, restoration, and revival. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

We’ve been sitting with this request, and the weight of it is not lost on us. You have carried this burden a long time, praying fervently and persistently for God to intervene, to send others, to hedge her path. That kind of steadfast intercession is rare and costly, and we don't want to rush past it. Even when the visible answer seems delayed, you are not alone in asking.

What strikes us is how much time and energy you have invested in asking God to act through pastors and friends, and we understand the frustration when help promised has not yet materialized. Yet sometimes the most powerful change begins in a quieter, more hidden way, in the places where a person finally feels safe enough to face the truth without fear of exposure or punishment. That is the heart of inner healing prayer: inviting Christ not only to confront sin but to gently walk into the memories and wounds that often drive it. People trapped in destructive patterns are frequently fleeing some inner ache they haven't known how to name. When we pray for her, we can ask not only that she be stopped, but that she find a place where the love of God breaks through the shame and lets her begin to heal from the inside out.

A practical step that might fit this season is to ask a few trusted, mature believers, perhaps one or two of those four you mentioned, to pray specifically for her willingness to receive help, even if it's not on the schedule anyone expected. Sometimes the hedge of thorns works not only by blocking what is wrong, but by creating a desperation that finally leads someone into a safe circle where confession feels possible. You might also consider asking God to show you whether there is some small, concrete way you yourself could offer a bridge: not a confrontation in the heat of the moment, but a steady, non-anxious presence that says, "I am here, and I am not going anywhere."

Lord Jesus, we ask You to meet this woman in the secret places of her heart. Where she is hiding, bring Your light. Where she is hurting, bring Your healing. Grant her the courage to stop, to face what she has been running from, and to let trustworthy people walk with her into confession and restoration. The way of the slothful man is as a hedge of thorns. But mark you, if he continues slothful, it will actually become a hedge of thorns. Difficulties imagined are apt to arrive. Here is a soul hedged in not by idle fears, but by the merciful, wounding hand of God, whose thorns are set to bar the way to destruction. It is a dreadful mercy, yet mercy still, when sin is made hard to commit. Pray on for that hedge to be thick and impenetrable, for the soul that is determined to overthrow it will find thorns and thistles in abundance. Thorns and thistles come from man's nature, from the world's entanglements, from the church's very profession when it lacks power. What life there is in the wheat may be very sickly indeed; the thorns of care, riches, pleasure, and worldliness choke the word. Yet these same thorns, sanctified, become a fence to keep the goats of worldly pleasure from devouring the tender shoots of grace. Pray for the hedge, but pray also for the inner work.

The prayer for the church to intervene is not a request for meddling, but for obedience to the Master's own command. To preach repentance in the name of Jesus means we proclaim it as His gift, not a human effort drawn up as water from a well. True repentance hates the sin itself, not merely its consequences. There is a repentance born of the flesh, a carnal terror of punishment, which is no better than the vomit of a dog; it lacks the element of submission, of faith, of love. This is repentance after a godly sort, a stripping that makes the soul cling utterly to Christ. Pray that the pastors and family fear God rather than man. The fear of man is a snare, and many a Eli has honored his sons above the Lord and brought ruin on his house. Let them wield the sword of the Spirit with a firm gentleness, not with negligence. Cursed is he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully. They must speak, for the danger is not small. Adultery is a sin for which the law had no appointed sacrifice; it leaves wounds and disgrace indelible in this life, even when pardoned. The shame of it is a crown of thorns pressed down by the sinner's own hand, tearing them to their grief while they weave it.

But I would have you look at home as well. Do we not all stand guilty of weaving crowns of thorns for our Lord? Have we not by our own backslidings thrust the briars deeper into His sacred brow? True repentance does not merely bewail the exposure of sin, but it weeps and abhors the past life because the love of Christ has pardoned it. It avoids present sin because it would not wound the Lord again. This is a repentance that lives as long as faith. It is not a bitter operation to be endured once and forgotten, but the daily posture of the soul, offering to God a broken spirit. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. When the heart is truly broken, it loses its taste for the swine's husks of the flesh and begins to pray for the good estate of the Church and all the Lord's people.

I see in this request a soul crying, "As a lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters." Christ sees His own, bruised and lacerated, yet beautiful to Him amidst all the withered, tangled thorns of the world. Our Beloved leaps over the hedge to rescue His lily, though His hands are torn in the extrication. The way of the slothful may be a hedge of thorns blocking out Heaven, but the way of the righteous is made plain, plain as a crucified Savior lifted up. True repentance and remission of sins are linked eternally. Wherever the heart is sovereignly turned from its sin, there is the sure and infallible token of pardon. Pray on then, with holy violence. Let her way be so hedged that she must turn back, and in turning, may her eyes meet those eyes which were wet with tears for her, and see that head crowned with thorns which bled for her. The stripping of repentance and the clothing of faith meet in Jesus Christ alone. May He grant it to each one entangled in this sorrow.

You plead for a hedge of thorns, but consider this: the thorns that most endanger her soul are not merely external obstacles, but the cares of this life and the deceitfulness of riches that choke the word and render it unfruitful. These are the thorns Christ named, unfruitful, tearing those who handle them, hiding serpents within. You ask God to block her path, yet what good is it if the soil of her heart remains overgrown? The hedge you seek must first be planted within, by rooting out the passions that strangle repentance.

Do not imagine that adultery is confined to her alone. If she is yoked to another, every man who defiles himself with her commits adultery against his own flesh, for he too is bound. The punishment is not a light one; their worm dies not and the fire is not quenched. Yet while you rightly desire her exposure and confession, take care lest you yourself sow among thorns. The zeal to rebuke is necessary, you did well to sharply correct that immodest dance, but see that your own heart does not become a field of thorns, where bitterness or pride might grow up and hinder the gentle fruit of the Spirit.

You ask for messengers to go with the sword of the Word. They must go, and they must finish the work they promised, for cursed is the one who does the Lord’s work negligently. But let them tremble as they go, knowing that some sins are beyond repentance, not because mercy is lacking, but because the heart has treasured up wrath for itself by a hardened refusal to return. It is not God who stores up this wrath, but the sinner who, by despising His long-suffering, heaps it upon his own head. Let them therefore speak gently but firmly, so that she may yet find a place for repentance and not fall into an incurable fall.

Yet consider: what she truly needs is not only a hedge without, but healing within. From the sole of the foot to the crown of the head there is no soundness, only wounds and bruises. She must be cleansed inwardly, the thorns of worldly desire burned away by the fire of the Spirit, so that the land of her soul may receive the divine seed. Pray then for her repentance, but also for your own heart, that you do not become like the camel feeding on thorns, nourishing irrational passions, but rather become a fruitful olive tree, evergreen and light-giving through almsgiving, prayer, and humility. The day of revelation is coming, when the righteous judgment of God will be made plain. Until then, let us all water the field of our souls with the streams of the Spirit, lest we sow among thorns and reap nothing but fire.

I hear the weight behind these words, the groaning for God to act, and the longing for sin to be exposed and cut off. That is right. Scripture calls us to intervene when a brother or sister is caught in transgression, to speak the truth in love, and to make it difficult for sin to flourish undisturbed. The image from Hosea of a hedge of thorns is a mercy, God blocking the path so that wandering feet will turn back. Pray on for that obstruction, that every attempt to pursue what is forbidden yields nothing but frustration and emptiness. That is grace in a severe disguise.

Yet as you cry out for the thorns to choke out her wayward steps, remember that the same thorns, the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of what looks desirable, the lust for other things, can choke the word out of any of us. The seed that fell among thorns never matured to fruit. It ended up gathered for burning. So this is not merely a prayer about one woman’s sin; it is a mirror for every heart in the church. Let the zeal for her repentance be matched by a sober examination within your own soul, and within the circle of those who plan to confront her. The fear of man is indeed a snare; so is the pride that can creep in when we stand on the right side of an issue.

You mention that four have indicated willingness to bring the Word to bear, but have not yet done so. Press them gently but firmly to finish what they said they would do, not with harshness or negligence, but with the kind of grief that leads to repentance. True confrontation does not wound for the sake of wounding. The sword of the Spirit is sharp, but the hand that wields it must be the hand of a surgeon, not an executioner. The goal is always that she, and all who are entangled, would flee the evil desires and pursue righteousness alongside those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. We want her stopped, yes, but we want her restored even more.

I notice you rebuked the sister sharply over that sensual dance. It is right to hate evil, and the fear of the Lord is indeed hatred of evil. Yet I would urge you to check the spirit of that rebuke. Does it carry the sorrow of a godly love, or the satisfaction of being proven correct? Paul told Titus to rebuke sharply when falsehood was feeding whole households, but the sharpness was medicinal, not punitive. Make sure your own heart stays free from the leaven that always seeks to spread: the subtle sense that we are clean and others are the problem. The church at Laodicea thought it had wealth and sight, not knowing it was wretched and blind. No assembly is immune to that deception.

Her path is serious. Adultery wounds deeply; Scripture says the one who commits it lacks sense and brings disgrace and wounds upon his own body. Disease, pregnancy, a seared conscience, those are real dangers, and I join you in asking the Lord to spare her from reaping the full harvest of what she sows. But the deeper danger is that she would use grace as a license for immorality and deny the Master who bought her. Pray urgently that godly sorrow would break through. That sorrow is not the same as worldly regret. Worldly sorrow just brings death; it feels bad about consequences without turning from the sin itself. True repentance brings change, a turning of the whole person toward God, and then fruit that matches that turning.

The history of the church shows how quickly corruption can lodge itself within the very heart of God’s people. Before the first century closed, leaven had already been placed in the lump. The messages to the seven churches were calls to repent, five out of seven heard that warning. It is a sad pattern: power leaks away when sin is tolerated. So what you are seeking is right: not a mechanical policing but a spiritual cleansing that restores the witness and the power of the Spirit among you. Do not look to church history for the model; look to the pattern in Acts, where confronting sin brought both fear and healing.

But remember, the corruption never begins out there. It starts in the tiny compromises we all entertain. Thorns come from the curse, and they grow in the soil of a heart that lets the word be crowded out. So as you pray for her, ask for the same clarity and inner healing for yourself, and for anyone who steps in to help. The psalmist prayed, “He restores my soul.” That is a deep work, and it often comes through the very process of examining sin and calling one another back to the Shepherd.

Fast if you are able, not as a display but as a way to weaken the voice of the flesh and sharpen your hunger for God. The fast that pleases Him loosens the chains of injustice and sets the oppressed free. You want to see her loosed from the devil’s snare; you yourself want protection from deception and evil, these are fitting prayers. Let them be soaked in a humility that says, “Lead us not into temptation” for ourselves as much as for her. The moment we assume we stand, we fall.

The matter of the family and pastors who may fear man more than God, pray for them, but also examine whether any desire to see them exposed stems from a right jealousy for God’s honor or from a personal indignation. God knows how to humble those who honor their kin above Him, as He did with Eli. Leave that to Him. Your part is to speak the truth clearly, with love, and then entrust the outcome to the One who judges justly.

Finally, keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking. The promise stands: whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. But the answer may look different than you expect. The thorns that block her way may also press against your own heart. The word that cuts her may also cut you. Let it do its work, so that the whole lump, your church, your family, your own inner being, might be purified and bear fruit, some thirty, some sixty, some a hundredfold. That is the fruit that remains unto eternal life, and it is worth every painful, necessary step along the path of repentance.
