Beloved
🙌 PTL, I have been trying to warn her family and church to get her pastor involved -- one is family too and suffers greatly from fear of man, Matt 10:28, which is a snare, Prov 29:25, and compromise as well, Gal 5:9, and also blocked me over a year ago, he's frequently given license to sin even condoning it, as The Lord prophesies to Eli in 1 Samuel 2:29-30, 1 Sam 3:13-14, and fulfilling it in 1 Sam 4:17-18... 🙌 PTL, I've been asking God raises up messengers with the sword of the Spirit, and thank You for a few stating they are willing to bring The Word of God to this situation, Heb 4:12, as He has throughout history we ask He does now, in this day, for this cause: Perchance she will repent, and 2 Tim 2:25, and so others be fearful of sinning, 1 Tim 5:20. Let them finish the work which they said they'd do with zeal, 2 Cor 8:11, not with negligence, Jer 48:10, in Jesus' Name. May it be done gently but firmly, because of the danger of sin and so she won't stop attending church, Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24.

I'm asking for prayers for her to be "hedged in with thorns," Ho 2:6-7, that she is not able to meet anyone at all (No more online dating, Matt 5:28, and finally confessed adultery Ex 20:14, until finalization, and who knows what's next? 2 Sam 12:22), especially that she is delivered from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, lies, Zeph 3:13, evil, evil men, imposters & the evil one himself...

Pray repentance -- That she will NOT become pregnant b/c of this, or get more diseases or filmed in the act anymore by imposters but more important, she would not use the grace of God for license for immorality, and deny our Only Lord and Master Jesus Christ, Jude 1:4. Please pray for her to repent and bear fruit in keeping with repentance, Matt 3:8, repent and return and receive God's refreshing and salvation, Acts 3:19 -- bad news, her one godly sister recently posted a disgustingly sensual dance of her teenage niece or daughter in short negligee -- I rebuked her sharply, Tit 1:13, they ALL need fear of God equating to hatred of evil, Prov 8:13.

Lastly I ask more wisdom, clarity & inner healing, Isaiah 1:6, Jer 4:19, Ps 23:3 -- Holy Spirit strength for duties, etc, grace to fast again, Isa 58:6-12, protection from temptation, sin, deception, lies and evil for me, her, them and all of us, Matt 24:4, Matt 6:13, Zeph 3:13, John 17:15. Grace to proceed, Matt 6:10. Thank You in Jesus Name.

We stand together in fervent prayer and intercession for this deeply concerning situation, lifting it before the throne of grace with hearts burdened for truth, repentance, and restoration. The urgency in your plea reflects the weight of sin’s destruction and the desperate need for God’s intervention, not only for this woman but for her family, church leadership, and all who have been entangled in compromise. We take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and declare His righteousness over this matter.

First, we rebuke the spirit of fear of man that has silenced godly confrontation and allowed sin to fester. Scripture is clear: "The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the Lord is kept safe" (Proverbs 29:25 WEB). The failure to address sin, especially in leadership, is a direct violation of God’s command to "reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching" (2 Timothy 4:2 WEB). The Lord’s warning to Eli’s house echoes here: "I will honor those who honor Me, and those who despise Me will be lightly esteemed" (1 Samuel 2:30 WEB). We pray that the church and family involved would rise up in holy boldness, no longer tolerating the condoning of adultery, fornication, or any form of sexual immorality. "For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God" (1 Peter 4:17 WEB).

We stand on Matthew 18:15-17, which outlines the biblical process for addressing sin: private confrontation, then with witnesses, and finally before the church. If she remains unrepentant, the church must treat her as an unbeliever (1 Corinthians 5:11-13), not to shame her but to awaken her to the gravity of her choices. We pray that the messengers God has raised up will speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), wielding the Word like a double-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12) to convict of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). May their words be seasoned with grace yet uncompromising in truth, for "faithful are the wounds of a friend" (Proverbs 27:6 WEB).

We declare a hedge of thorns around her life, as Hosea 2:6-7 describes, that she may be cut off from every ungodly influence, online dating, adulterous relationships, and any platform that feeds her sin. "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). We pray she would be delivered from the deception of "cheap grace" (Jude 1:4), where sin is excused under the guise of God’s mercy. True repentance bears fruit (Matthew 3:8), and we cry out for her to turn from darkness to light (Acts 26:18).

The sensuality displayed by her godly sister’s family is a grievous stumbling block, revealing a deeper lack of reverence for God’s holiness. "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil" (Proverbs 8:13 WEB), and we rebuke the spirit of worldliness that has infiltrated even those who claim Christ. We pray for a revival of modesty, purity, and godly fear in their home, that they would "abstain from every form of evil" (1 Thessalonians 5:22 WEB).

For you, dear brother or sister, we pray for inner healing from the wounds of seeing loved ones stray. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3 WEB). May the Lord grant you wisdom like Solomon’s (James 1:5), clarity to discern His will, and strength to persevere in prayer and fasting (Isaiah 58:6-12). We stand with you against the schemes of the evil one, declaring that "no weapon formed against you will prosper" (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only Name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We confess that without You, we can do nothing (John 15:5), but with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Lord, we lift up this woman and her family, asking that You would shatter the hardness of their hearts with Your truth. Break the chains of sin, deception, and fear of man. Raise up bold witnesses to speak Your Word without compromise, that she may hear and repent.

We plead the blood of Jesus over her life, declaring a hedge of thorns around her to block every path to temptation. Father, if there is any unconfessed sin in her life, adultery, fornication, or idolatry, expose it and bring her to godly sorrow (2 Corinthians 7:10). Let her not become pregnant in sin or fall deeper into deception. May she turn from evil and "seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness" (Matthew 6:33 WEB).

For the church and family, grant them courage to act according to Your Word. Let them no longer be "lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power" (2 Timothy 3:4-5 WEB). Restore reverence for Your holiness, that they may hate evil and cling to what is good (Romans 12:9).

For our brother/sister interceding, pour out Your Spirit of wisdom, healing, and strength. Protect them from discouragement, temptation, and the lies of the enemy. May they find rest in You, the Good Shepherd, who "restores the soul" (Psalm 23:3 WEB).

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who is coming soon to judge the living and the dead. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

We hear the weight in your words, the long, persistent burden of watching someone you care about walk a destructive path, and the exhaustion of trying to sound the alarm when others seem silent or complicit. That kind of strain can wear down even the strongest heart. It’s clear you’re pleading for God to move in power, and we join you in that longing, even as we also want to gently hold up your own need for restoration.

You mentioned inner healing, wisdom, and the grace to fast again. That tells us you’re aware this has cost you something. We’d encourage you not to let the urgency of intercession crowd out your own time with the Lord for quiet repair. The same Shepherd who pursues the one who strays also knows your soul’s weariness and can restore it. If you haven’t already, it might be wise to speak with a trusted pastor or a mature believer who can walk alongside you, someone who can listen, pray with you, and help you discern where your responsibility ends and God’s begins.

Entrusting the situation into His hands doesn’t mean caring less; it means acknowledging that only He can truly reach a heart. Keep praying, but also allow yourself space to receive His comfort for the grief and frustration you’ve carried.

Let’s pray:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this brother to You. He has labored in prayer and sought to act righteously. Now we ask You to give him the deep rest and inner healing he needs. Refresh his spirit, clarify his mind, and strengthen him for whatever You call him to do. We ask that You would hem in the one he’s burdened for, not only with thorns that block harmful paths, but with Your pursuing love that leaves no corner untouched. Bring about true repentance and wholeness for all involved, and guard each one from the evil one’s schemes. Thank You that You are mighty to save and tender to restore. In Your name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The way of the slothful is indeed as a hedge of thorns, and you do well to cry out that the Lord Himself would plant such a hedge, not as a cruelty but as a mercy, to block the path of destruction. The prayer from Hosea is a prayer of hope, for the hedge and the wall are meant to make the way of transgression so hard and so bitter that the wandering soul at last says, “I will go and return to my first husband, for then was it better with me than now.” Therefore, plead this promise still, the thorny hedge that keeps her from her lovers may yet be the very thing that drives her back to God. The Lord knows how to use sorrow and frustration as His strange servants to accomplish what ease and pleasure never could.

Yet remember that true deliverance, whether from the guilt or the power of sin, is of the Lord alone. It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. You have cried out for messengers with the sword of the Spirit, and it is right that the Word should be brought with all tenderness yet with unflinching truth. But the Word itself cannot break the heart unless the arm of the Lord is revealed. The letter killeth; it is the Spirit that giveth life. Pray then, not only that the Word may be spoken, but that the Spirit would attend it like fire attending the hammer, so that the flinty heart may be shattered and melted. Carnal repentance, born only of fear or the lash of consequence, is but the vomit of a dog; true repentance gives God the glory and turns the soul wholly unto Christ.

Be watchful that your own zeal does not become a snare to you. The thorns of controversy and the thistles of long-continued conflict can easily tear the hands that grasp them. It is no small thing to be the lily among thorns, kept pure in the midst of provocations. You ask for inner healing and clarity, and this is a wise petition, for the soul that is perpetually in the din of battle may find its own wounds festering. He restoreth my soul; do not forget to sit at the Shepherd’s table in the very presence of your enemies, feeding upon Christ when the battle is hottest. Strength for duties, grace for fasting, protection from deception, these are gifts He delights to give when we look wholly out of ourselves to Him.

As for the work others have promised to do, let them hear the sharp word of the prophet: “Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully.” If they have taken up the burden, let them carry it through with holy resolve, not with the negligence that is half-hearted and fears the face of man. The fear of man bringeth a snare, and a snare that will hold them fast in compromise until their own testimony is strangled. Pray that a godly boldness, born of the fear of God which is the hatred of evil, may seize them and drive out the timidity that honors a brother above the Lord.

Finally, take comfort and warning together: the true church, and the true soul within her, shall ever be as a lily among thorns, preserved by affliction, kept by the very hedge that wounds, and made more precious to Christ by the contrast with the world’s withered and tangled barrenness. Wait upon the Deliverer, for deliverance from the power of darkness is as much His work as the blotting out of guilt. He who bore the crown of thorns has entered into the paradise of God, and He has opened the gate for all who come by Him. Trust Him to finish the work. Pray that repentance may bloom where thorns now choke, and may you meet that soul, washed and renewed, where thorns and thistles shall never grow again.

You pour out many words and cite much Scripture, and the zeal for her soul is evident. Yet take heed, for the enemy transforms himself into an angel of light, and even righteous indignation can become a snare if it is not tempered with the fear of God for oneself. You speak of hedges and thorns, and well you should, for wealth and lasciviousness are indeed thorns that choke the word and tear those who handle them. But consider this: the husbandman does not only pray for thorns to surround a wayward vine; he first examines himself, lest while uprooting tares he also uproot the wheat.

You ask for a hedge of thorns to prevent her from meeting anyone. This is a fearful prayer, and it may be granted, but remember what is written: when God’s vineyard brought forth thorns instead of grapes, He took away its hedge and broke down its wall, and it became a prey for the boar. The true hedge is the hand of God. No one can pluck us from that hand, but when we fall away, we are exposed. Pray rather that the thorns of her own sin become so bitter to her that she flees from them, not merely that her path is blocked. The passions of the flesh are themselves a thicket of thorns, hiding wild beasts and serpents, namely the temptations of the evil one. May she become so pierced by them that she cries out for the Physician.

You rebuked sharply, as you say, and this may be necessary, for what concord hath Christ with Belial? Yet take care that you do not, in your zeal, commit the very sin you decry. For if to look with unchaste eyes is already adultery in the heart, what of an anger that is not quenched? The old law punished the murderer; the new law searches the heart of one who is angry without cause. See that your own soul is not found bringing forth the thorn of wrath where the fruit of the Spirit should be.

You ask for her repentance, and this is the greatest request. But let us understand what repentance is. It is not merely tears, for Esau sought it carefully with tears and found no place for it, because his grief was not true repentance. True repentance is a medicine compounded of many herbs, but the essential one is almsgiving and acts of mercy. It is a turning away from the vomit, a cleansing of the field from thorns so the good seed may grow. For what profit is it if she is hedged in by calamity, yet her heart still roams the paths of lust? The danger is this: one who has known the truth and been delivered, yet returns to sin, becomes worse than before. The last state of that soul is more grievous than the first, having trodden underfoot the grace of God.

Do not be overly troubled if the church authorities fear man and act like Eli. Their negligence is upon their own heads, for they who do the work of the Lord with slackness are cursed. But you, see that you proceed with the sword of the Spirit gently but firmly, lest in trying to snatch her from the fire, you yourself are burned by the anger that is not of God. Pray for your own inner healing, for a wound that is not bound up festers and corrupts. The streams of the Spirit, which are prayer, fasting, and especially almsgiving, will water the cleansed field of your own heart, so that you may be a light to her and not a consuming fire. Fast, then, but let your fast loose the bands of wickedness. Pray for her, but let your prayer be with mercy. So shall you kindle the fire of the Spirit to consume the thorns in her life and in your own.

Your heart for this situation is heavy, and the Scriptures you have prayed through show a deep love for God’s truth and a longing for His honor. It is right to want sin confronted, not out of spite but out of a holy concern for a soul in danger and a church called to be the pillar and ground of the truth. When those who should lead are paralyzed by fear of man, the whole body suffers. That snare is real, and it has led many into a terrible compromise where license is given instead of loving correction. Yet even in that, God is able to raise up voices that will speak His Word with the sword of the Spirit. Keep asking Him for those messengers, and trust that the Word itself is living and active, able to pierce through every defense.

The fear of the Lord you are praying for others is something we must guard in our own hearts as well. It is not a cowering dread that God is waiting to harm us. That childish terror fades when we truly grasp His love. The fear that purifies is a reverence so deep that we tremble at the thought of wounding Him. When we truly love Him, we hate evil because it offends the One who gave Himself for us. This is the fear that produces hatred of evil, as you noted from Proverbs. It is a fear that restrains us, not because we are afraid of punishment, but because we cannot bear to grieve Him. Pray that this holy awe would fall upon her, upon the family, upon the leaders, and upon your own soul. It is in that atmosphere that repentance is born.

The hedge of thorns you are asking God to build is a severe mercy. Thorns came into the world with the curse, but in God’s hands they become a fence to block the path of destruction. When a person relentlessly pursues what will destroy them, the kindest thing the Lord can do is make the way so painful that they turn back. Hosea shows a pursuing God who walls up the wayward one’s path so that she cannot find her lovers, until at last she says, “I will return to my first husband.” That is your prayer, and it is a prayer after God’s own heart. Do not lose heart if the hedge seems slow to grow; His timing is perfect.

In all of this, take care that your own spirit remains steady and slow to anger. A righteous indignation can quickly sour into something that builds a hedge of thorns around your own soul. The way of the slothful is like a thorn hedge, prickly and entangled, but the way of the righteous is made plain. Keep your own path plain by remaining humble before the Lord. Before honor is humility. You have rebuked sharply where it seemed needed, and there is a place for that when truth is at stake, but let it always be with tears and with a readiness to restore. The goal is never to destroy but to teach and to heal.

Remember that God’s chastening, even when it falls heavily, is always for the purpose of restoration. Even men of God have fallen, and when they do, the Lord disciplines them as sons. The discipline may be severe, but it is measured. Pray that if the Lord must break her, He would do so with the gentleness of a surgeon, not the fury of a destroyer. And pray that the church would have the courage to purge out the leaven, not to cast away the person, but to see her delivered and the whole body made strong again. The lack of power we so often lament is not God’s doing; He has not withdrawn His Spirit. It is our tolerance of sin and hypocrisy that quenches His work. When the church walks in purity and in the full counsel of God, it becomes a terror to the enemies of God, an army with banners.

Do not carry a burden God never placed on you. You are right to pray, to sound the alarm where Scripture gives warrant, and to entreat others to act. But the outcome belongs to the Lord. His ways are not your ways, and healing, whether of the body, the soul, or a fractured church, is sovereign with Him. Beware of those who offer pat answers or who insist that if only we had enough faith, everything would be fixed. God heals whom He will, when He will, for reasons we may never know. Your part is to be faithful in prayer, to walk in the light you have, and to trust the great Prince and Savior to grant repentance and forgiveness as He pleases.

Let this mind be in you which was in Christ, who emptied Himself. Lay down the weight of trying to force outcomes. The One who sees all knows the hearts of every person in that situation, and He knows the hidden things that even you cannot see. He is not indifferent; He is working. Go forward with the grace He supplies, whether in fasting or in daily duties. Rest in the Shepherd who restores your soul, and when you pray for inner healing for yourself, receive it from His hand. He leads beside still waters for a reason. The battle is real, but the victory is His, and He will write His name upon those who overcome.
