šŸ™‡šŸ» Church obey Christ's Word on exercising church discipline (toward the goal from beginning of salvation and repentance, Mt 18:15, James 5:20), but also would be warned about bloodguilt of silence Ezek 3:18-19, Acts 20:26-29, warns female spouse out of genuine concern and love for lost, Mt18:16-17 Lk17:3 Lv19:17, family also obeys God and warns Gal 6:1. Practicing immorality excludes from kingdom 1 Cor 6:9 Rev 21:8 Gal 5:19-20, New Testament forewarns exclusion from entrance into kingdom of God, Gal 5:21...

šŸ§ŽšŸ½ā€ā™‚ļøFather, we're concerned but praying, as it is written, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus," Phil 4:6-7. Jesus said Mt 6:13 pray for others "Lead US not into temptation but deliver us from evil," -- Thank You it's plural -- i.e., we pray for each other Eph 6:18. Prevent sin, Mt 18:6: let her take down her online profiles to protect her from sin, "But the... sexually immoral... and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second deathā€ Rev 21:8. Let it come down to keep her from evil men, 2 Thes 3:2 for evil men and imposters proceed from bad to worst (in the last days) 2 Tim 3:13.

šŸ™‡šŸ» We still believe the kindness of God leads us to repentance Rom 2:4, but we know those You rebuke and discipline those You love so they are zealous and repent, Rev 3:19, and keep "little ones from stumbling" Matt 18:6, so WE now ask The Church obeys Jesus and "open rebuke" Luke 17:3, "Watch yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him." And, "If they don't listen to you (Matt 18:15, which she has not), bring along 2 or 3 others (Matt 18:16, which we did with our home group leaders, and she left the next day), if the person does not hear them, bring it to the church, Matt 18:17... Leviticus 19:17, Ezekiel 3:18-19, Prov 24:11-12

šŸ™ Knowing her disposition, deception and hardness of heart, we thank You this request and its follow through has been and must still be mingled with prayer, fasting and intense mercy, yet not so as to lose the stern frankness and danger to herself and others by continuing in immorality at all, especially while married, Rom 7:2-3, 1 Cor 6:9-10, Rev 2:20, Rev 3:19, Rev 21:8 -- and by endangering the child and softening his moral stance, Matt 18:6, Mk 9:42, Lk 17:2, Rev 18:21. Galatians 6:1 "Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him with a spirit of gentleness. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted." Thank You in for hearing prayer in Your will, and when You hear, we have the requests, 1 Jn 5:14-15, in Jesus' Name, the male spouse.

We stand before the Lord with heavy hearts, yet with unwavering conviction in His Word, as we lift this matter before Him. The situation laid before us is grave, for it involves a sister in Christ who is entangled in sin, specifically, the sin of immorality while married. Scripture is clear: "Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom." (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB). The gravity of this cannot be overstated, for the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), and those who persist in unrepentant sin risk eternal separation from God.

We acknowledge that our response must be rooted in both truth and love, as commanded in Ephesians 4:15, "but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ." The process of church discipline outlined in Matthew 18:15-17 is not a suggestion but a command from our Lord Jesus Christ. It begins with private confrontation, then involves witnesses, and finally, if there is no repentance, it must be brought before the church. We have followed these steps in obedience, yet the hardness of heart remains. The warning in Ezekiel 3:18-19 is sobering: "When I tell the wicked, ā€˜You shall surely die;’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at your hand." We cannot remain silent, for silence in the face of sin is complicity before God.

The online profiles mentioned are a snare, a gateway to further temptation and sin. We pray fervently that these would be removed, as they are a stumbling block not only to her but to others who may be led astray. "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck, and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea." (Matthew 18:6 WEB). The danger is not only to her soul but to the moral foundation of her child, who must not be allowed to grow up in an environment where sin is normalized. The warning in Mark 9:42 is clear: "Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if he were thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck."

We also lift up the husband in this situation, who is called to love his wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). His role is not to enable sin but to call her to repentance, just as God disciplines those He loves (Revelation 3:19). We pray that he would stand firm in the truth, not wavering in his resolve to honor God in his marriage. The family’s involvement in this process is also critical, as Galatians 6:1 instructs: "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted." Restoration is the goal, but it must be restoration to righteousness, not a false peace that ignores sin.

Father, we come before You with hearts broken over this situation, yet confident in Your justice and mercy. We ask that You would break the hardness of heart in this sister. Let her see the severity of her sin and the mercy available through repentance. We pray that she would turn from her ways, remove the stumbling blocks from her life, and seek restoration with her husband and with You. If she refuses to listen to the church, may the consequences of her choices lead her to repentance, as You discipline those You love (Hebrews 12:6).

We also pray for the church to stand firm in Your truth, not shrinking back from the responsibility to rebuke sin. May we be a people who speak the truth in love, always pointing to the hope found in Christ. We ask that You would guard the hearts of those involved, that they would not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Strengthen the husband, the family, and the church leaders as they walk through this difficult process.

Lord, we know that Your kindness leads to repentance (Romans 2:4), and we cling to that hope. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, that Your name would be glorified, and that Your will would be done. May this sister come to a place of true repentance, and may her marriage be restored to reflect the love and holiness of Christ. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Amen.

We hold this burden together with you and lift it up before the Lord. This situation weighs heavily on our hearts, and we can only imagine the pain and confusion you must be feeling. It’s never easy when someone we love is caught in sin, especially when it involves such serious matters. We know God’s Word doesn’t shy away from calling sin what it is, but we also know His heart is always toward repentance and restoration.

We pray for a softening in that hard heart, that the truth would break through in a way that leads to genuine repentance. It’s never too late for God to work, even in the most stubborn of hearts. We also lift up the husband and family, asking for wisdom and strength to walk this path with grace and firmness, just as Christ has called us to do. May the church continue to respond with both truth and love, always pointing to the hope found in Jesus.

Father, we ask for Your mercy to move mightily in this situation. Bring conviction, bring repentance, and restore what is broken. Guard the hearts of those involved, that they would not grow weary or lose heart. We trust You to work all things together for good, even in this painful season. In Jesus’ name, we pray.
