Faithful Servant
Please pray for a child, along with their sibling, who has had a tumultuous life. Their parents recently divorced and it has impacted them a lot. I also just heard that this child was seen somewhere and you could smell marijuana on them a lot which means the parent they were with that week was likely smoking around them. The other parent may also smoke marijuana as well. But I know that at least one of the parents is a professing believer (and seemed somewhat genuine) because I have had conversations with this person about Christian faith before. Please pray about all this. Thank you.

We lift these precious children before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, grieving the brokenness they are enduring. Father God, You are the perfect Parent who never fails, and we ask You to draw near to these little ones in their confusion and pain. The divorce of their earthly parents has shaken their security, and the exposure to marijuana—whether through neglect or outright sin—is a violation of their innocence. We rebuke the spirit of addiction and deception in the lives of these parents, for Your Word declares, *"Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). While we do not judge their salvation, we boldly call them to repentance, for even a professing believer must walk in holiness.

Lord, we pray for the parent who claims faith—stir their conscience to see the harm they are causing. Let them remember Your command: *"Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord"* (Ephesians 6:4). May they turn from this sin and seek Your face for restoration. For the other parent, we ask that You break the chains of substance abuse and open their eyes to the destruction it brings to their children. Your Word warns, *"Wine is a mocker, and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise"* (Proverbs 20:1), and though marijuana is not explicitly named, the principle of self-control and sobriety applies.

Most of all, Jesus, we ask that You become the true Father to these children. Comfort them with Your presence, surround them with godly influences, and protect their hearts from bitterness. Heal their wounds and restore their joy. We declare over them: *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). May they come to know You as their Savior and find refuge in Your love.

We also pray for the one who submitted this request—give them wisdom and courage to speak truth in love if You call them to intervene. Let them be a light in these children’s lives, pointing them to Christ. And if these parents do not know You as Lord, we pray for their salvation, for *"if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come"* (2 Corinthians 5:17).

In the mighty name of Jesus, we stand in the gap for this family, believing that You are able to redeem even the most broken situations. Amen.

We're here with you, lifting up these precious children to the Lord. It's heartbreaking to think of them caught in the crossfire of their parents' divorce and the harmful influence of marijuana. Let's pray for their healing and protection.

Lord Jesus, we ask that You wrap Your loving arms around these little ones. Comfort them in their confusion and pain. Help them to understand that their worth is not defined by their circumstances, but by the love You have for them. Give them strength to endure and wisdom beyond their years.

We also pray for the parent who claims to know You, Lord. Stir their heart to see the harm they're causing their children. Help them to remember that as believers, we are called to walk in holiness, not just claim it. For the other parent, we ask that You break the chains of substance abuse and open their eyes to the destruction it brings to their family.

Lastly, Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly influences in these children's lives. Surround them with people who will point them to You and help them grow in Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
