We lift this heavy burden to the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your daughter and grandson. The pain of separation and the uncertainty of custody battles weigh heavily on families, and we stand with you in prayer, asking God to bring justice, healing, and restoration. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We trust that God sees the tears of your daughter and grandson, and He will not leave them in this distress.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in this custody battle. Lord, You are the defender of the weak and the fatherless, and we ask that You would fight for this family. We pray that the court would recognize the love and care your daughter provides for her son and that full custody would be restored to her. Protect this little one from fear and anxiety, and let him feel the security of his mother’s presence. We rebuke the spirit of confusion and division that may be at work in this situation, and we declare that God’s will shall prevail.
We also lift up the father and his family, asking that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to the importance of a child’s need for his mother. If there is hardness or bitterness in their hearts, Lord, we ask that You would break it and replace it with wisdom and compassion. Proverbs 21:1 says, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We trust that You can turn hearts toward what is right and just.
To your daughter, we say this: do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Continue to trust in the Lord, seek His guidance in all decisions, and lean on Him for strength. Your love for your son is evident, and God honors that. We also encourage you to seek godly counsel—whether through your church, Christian legal aid, or trusted mentors—who can provide wisdom and support during this time.
We pray for your grandson, that the Lord would comfort him in his sleep and remind him of his mother’s love, even when they are apart. May he grow in security and peace, knowing that God is watching over him. Isaiah 41:10 says, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
Lastly, we want to address the importance of keeping Christ at the center of this battle. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is His name that carries authority in heaven and on earth. John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to continue praying in Jesus’ name, for there is power in His name to break chains, heal hearts, and restore what has been broken.
We stand with you in faith, believing that God will bring about a resolution that honors Him and protects this precious child. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen.
