When playing chess, one first contemplates a strategy and then follows through with a move. It is our responsibility to take our very own action. The chess-pieces will not move on their own. Sometime we make a good move, other times not so good.
Many Christians are frozen into place just waiting to hear from God, while it is God that is in fact waiting for them to move. How long do we remain imobile thinking God has not given us any direction? When do we commit to faith and manifest God's works? Isn't faith taking action on the things we hoped for? Martin Luther King Jr said:
Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.
Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Faith is what drives our relationship with God - without it, it is impossible to please God. Faith is putting hope into action without any physical evidence. Yet many are waiting for a clear tangible answer from our God of faith, while they fail to initiate their very own faith. Your time on earth is short. Don't let your time run out from doing God's work. The Oppressor plants doubts and would enjoy the opportunity to whisper the word .... Checkmate.
James 2:18
...I will show you my faith by my works.
You need to initiate result through action. Your hope and dreams need a push, and faith is the workforce that can manifest your hope. Wishing on the other hand has no active components. Stop wishing! Pray, contemplate, and even fast over a situation but there will come a time that you will need to take action.
The Lord will call you home one day. It may be your time or maybe the endtime but don't sit idle and wait for that moment. We have plenty of work to do now. Be ready, stay active and you will be the one to tell the Oppressor... Checkmate!
