Disciple of Prayer
Please pray that all of my work hours will be approved as soon as possible. Also, please pray that God will give me the motivation and strength each day to wake up on time, get ready, and make it to work on time with a positive attitude.

We come before the Lord with your request, lifting up your work and daily responsibilities to Him. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." We pray that your efforts are seen and approved according to His will, and that He grants you favor in this matter. May the hours you have worked be recognized and processed swiftly, bringing peace and stability to your life.

Father, we also ask that You strengthen this dear one each morning. Proverbs 20:13 says, "Don’t love sleep, lest you come to poverty. Open your eyes, and you shall be satisfied with bread." Lord, awaken their spirit with motivation and discipline, that they may rise with purpose and joy. Fill their heart with a positive attitude, knowing that their labor is not in vain but is an act of worship to You. Help them to walk in diligence, reliability, and excellence, reflecting Your character in all they do.

We rebuke any spirit of procrastination, laziness, or discouragement that may seek to hinder their progress. Let Your Holy Spirit empower them to overcome every obstacle, whether physical fatigue or mental weariness. Remind them that their strength comes from You, as Isaiah 40:31 declares, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."

Lord, we also pray for wisdom in managing time and priorities. Help them to balance work with rest, knowing that even You rested on the seventh day. May they find their worth not in their job alone, but in their identity as Your beloved child. Guide their steps, direct their decisions, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. Without Jesus, there is no salvation, no true peace, and no lasting strength. If this dear one has not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we pray they would come to know Him as Lord and Savior, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). May they experience the fullness of life that comes from walking with You each day.

We trust You to move in this situation, believing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun. Amen.

We know how pressing it feels when something as concrete as work hours hangs in the balance, and how much energy it takes to keep showing up well day after day, especially when a positive attitude doesn’t come naturally. We’re standing with you in both of these.

With the work hours, sometimes the most grounded thing we can do is simply place the paperwork and the process in God’s hands, then let our requests be made known. You’ve done that, and we join you in it now.

As for the morning routine, we’ve seen that motivation often shows up after we take the first small step, not before. One quiet habit that has helped many of us is simply offering the day to God before our feet hit the floor, a brief, honest prayer like “I give this day to You; help me walk through it awake and willing.” It doesn’t have to be lengthy. That tiny pause can reset our direction before the alarm’s second snooze.

We’re asking the Lord together:

Father, thank You that You care about every detail, timesheets, commutes, and the silent battle for a willing spirit. Please let these work hours be approved promptly, and give our friend peace in the waiting. Strengthen those early morning moments: help them rise on time, move through their morning with steadiness, and arrive at work with a steadied, hopeful attitude. May their workplace become a place where Your grace is quietly visible through them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The strength you seek to rise promptly, to go forth with a ready spirit, and to labor with diligence is not a strength that springs from your own fainting flesh. All strength apart from God is derived strength and is, consequently, measurable. Yes, apart from God it is not strength at all and, consequently, must come to an end. You are asking for motivation and a positive attitude, these are not mere matters of a resolute will, but fruits of waiting upon the Lord. To those who have no might, He increases strength.

God give you strength for your daily walk at home and abroad, for this will be to the comfort of those around you. We must renew our strength, for it is for our honor, comfort, and safety. The Believer, thus having God-given strength, knows that all the glory of their strength lies in God. Have you been foolish enough to say, “I work well,” as though some credit were due to you? The glory of our strength must never lie in any of these things, it must lie in God alone. If it does so lie, then we shall glory in the Cross of Christ which is the main strength of the Gospel.

Do you not see the difference between quiet strength and fussy weakness? That calm, punctual, cheerful frame of mind you desire for your working hours is the very portrait of a soul leaning upon the Lord. In renewing your strength, ask the Lord that you may undertake fresh work and that this work may be done to a nobler tune, that you may have more expectancy, more confidence, more faith, more God-reliance. What things are done by men in common life with self-reliance! But with God-reliance we work impossibilities.

The work of Christ in us and for us does not exempt us from work and service, nor does the Holy Spirit’s work supersede human effort, but rather excites it. Whatever the Lord has called you to do, the power with which to do it must come from Him. Abundant Christian work and hard Christian work must have combined with it inward soul conflict. Yet see to it that your daily striving is mingled with the sweet frankincense of praise. The text saith, “He daily loadeth us with benefits.” This should be our morning’s work, to rise with a song. Let us make both ends of the day bright with His praise. Daily dying to a fretful, sluggish spirit is as useful to the saint in his daily toil as in his griefs, and a blessed thing it is to carry a loose hand upon worldly anxieties, even the approval of work hours, knowing that our times are in His hand. Go forth, then, and labor in His strength.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for prayer that your work hours be approved, and that God grant you motivation and strength to rise each day with a cheerful spirit. This is a fitting request, for our daily labors, however small they seem, are part of the vineyard where the Master has set us. Remember the laborers who came at the eleventh hour: they were called to work, not to idleness, and their diligence was expected. So do not think of your morning rising and going to your tasks as a trivial thing. It is a place of testing, and He who entrusted you with this work looks upon your heart. Do you perform your duties to please a supervisor, or as one approved by God? The Apostle says, "We speak, not as pleasing men, but God, which proveth our hearts." Let this be your anchor: offer each day's work to God, and even if the approval of hours is delayed, temper your impatience with the knowledge that His reward is not based on human recognition but on the sincerity of your service.

I pray that He grant you the strength to wake promptly and the motivation to begin each day with a positive attitude. For this struggle against weariness and gloom is not carried by willpower alone; it needs grace from above. The Lord marveled at the centurion's faith, not at his own dignity, and so bring your weakness to Him, saying, "Master, I cannot rise or labor with joy unless You speak the word." His help will come, and with it the strength to do your tasks as on fire, not as wood and stubble that perish. The crown is prepared, but only for those who toil. Seek, then, not merely to have your hours approved by men, but to have your daily conduct stand approved when tested by that day which shall reveal every work of what sort it is. So will you receive a reward that no earthly manager can give or deny.
