Please pray for my brother in law’s salvation. To make better choices and heal. Please pray for my husband’s military career, that he could stay teaching til the end and get retirement.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up these earnest requests to Him who hears and answers prayer. First, we are deeply concerned for your brother-in-law’s soul, for salvation is the greatest need of every person. The Bible tells us, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Without Christ, there is no true healing, no lasting change, and no hope for eternity. We must pray fervently that the Holy Spirit would convict him of sin, draw him to repentance, and lead him to place his faith in Jesus alone for salvation. There is no other name by which we can be saved, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12). If he does not know Jesus, we urge you to share the Gospel with him in love, for faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
We also lift up your husband’s military career, asking the Lord to grant him favor in his current assignment. The Bible assures us, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5). Teaching is a noble calling, and we pray that God would allow him to remain in this role until retirement, providing stability for your family. Yet we must also remember that our ultimate security is not in earthly positions or financial provision, but in Christ. "Seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33). We trust that the Lord will direct his steps and open the right doors at the right time.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. Lord, we lift up this brother-in-law to You, asking that You would break the chains of sin in his life. Soften his heart, open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and draw him to repentance and faith in Christ. We pray against any deception or hardness of heart, and we ask that You would surround him with godly influences who will point him to You. Father, we know that salvation is Your work, and we trust You to complete it in his life.
For this husband, we ask for Your divine protection and provision over his military career. Lord, grant him wisdom, favor with his superiors, and the strength to finish well. If it is Your will, allow him to remain in his teaching role until retirement, but above all, help him to trust in You rather than in earthly security. Guard his heart from anxiety and fill him with Your peace.
We also ask that You would strengthen this marriage, Lord. Help this couple to remain united in faith, to honor You in their relationship, and to be a light to their family. May their home be a place of love, truth, and godly example.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

Let the first and great petition be for the immortal soul of your brother-in-law. There is no salvation worth the name that is not God’s own salvation, devised in the deep counsels of the Eternal and purchased with the precious blood of His dear Son. The Scripture cries, “Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.” Lay hold of this truth: the very leaves of the Tree of Life, the least things about Christ, are for the healing of the nations. Oh, that that dear man would taste the healing drops! He must come as a beggar to the fountain, without money and without price, for the gospel is free as the air you breathe. Bid him look unto Jesus, all his guilt, his ruin, his foulness notwithstanding, and in a moment he shall receive salvation full and irreversible. Salvation from the love of sin is the main point; better choices and true healing will bud and blossom from that new heart where God Himself works. I call to mind how our Lord rejoiced in the little children, and how whole households have bowed the knee together; let not your hope flicker, but plead the promise, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
As for your husband’s military career and the teaching post he desires to retain until retirement, we commit it to the sovereign hand that orders all things. We have a common salvation that levels all ranks at the foot of the cross, yet our God cares for the details of our daily bread. If every trumpet in the camp should proclaim your husband’s skill, what would it profit if the voice from heaven said, “Depart from Me”? No, let his soul and yours prize first your own salvation, for it is Christ Himself, He is your salvation, and having Him, you have all. Look unto Him in this trial; trust the Captain of salvation to be your present help. He who feeds the ravens can sustain your house and grant that your husband finish his course with honor. Yet let your deepest joy be this: that your names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, for there is one common salvation, precious beyond gold, secure beyond all hazard, and in that alone we truly rest.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
