Business Opportunity

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me to continue to mature in my faith and service to the Kingdom. Also, pray that I will identify a great business opportunity that will enable my family to prosper financially. Thank you!

We hear your heart’s desire to grow in faith and to seek God’s provision for your family, and we join you in lifting these matters before the Lord. It is good and right to ask God for wisdom in both spiritual and practical matters, for He delights in giving wisdom to those who ask in faith (James 1:5). We also recognize that true prosperity comes not just from financial gain, but from walking in obedience to God’s will and stewarding His blessings wisely.

First, we want to encourage you in your pursuit of spiritual maturity. The apostle Paul writes, "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18). This growth comes through time in God’s Word, prayer, fellowship with other believers, and service to the Kingdom. As you seek to mature in your faith, we pray that the Holy Spirit would continue to transform your heart, renew your mind, and equip you for every good work (Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:12-13). May your life reflect the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23), so that others may see Christ in you.

Regarding your desire for a business opportunity, we believe it is right to seek God’s provision for your family. The Lord promises to meet our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and He often uses our work and stewardship as a means to provide for us. However, we must also guard our hearts against the love of money, which Scripture warns is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Prosperity should never become an idol or distract us from our ultimate purpose, to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

We also want to gently remind you that all good things come from the Lord, and it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through faith in Christ that we receive the gift of eternal life (John 3:16). If you have not already done so, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Jesus, repenting of sin and trusting in His finished work on the cross for your salvation. This is the foundation upon which all other blessings, spiritual and material, are built.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would continue to mature them in their faith and service to Your Kingdom. Lord, fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may grow in wisdom, discernment, and Christlike character. Help them to seek You first in all things, trusting that You will add all these things unto them (Matthew 6:33).

Father, we also ask that You would guide them in their pursuit of a business opportunity. Give them clarity, wisdom, and favor as they seek to provide for their family. Open doors that no one can shut and close doors that are not Your will (Revelation 3:7-8). May this opportunity align with Your purposes, allowing them to be a blessing to others while honoring You in all they do. Protect them from greed, dishonesty, or any temptation to compromise their values for financial gain. Instead, let their work be a testimony to Your faithfulness and provision.

Lord, we pray that You would guard their heart against idolatry, whether it be the love of money or the pursuit of success. Remind them daily that their true treasure is in heaven (Matthew 6:19-21) and that their identity is found in Christ alone. May they find their greatest joy in serving You and advancing Your Kingdom, knowing that You are their ultimate Provider.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord, for it is in His name that we have access to You and through His blood that we are forgiven and made new. Strengthen our brother/sister in their walk with You, and may their life bring glory to Your name. Amen.

In closing, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in all things, trusting that He will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). As you wait on Him, remain faithful in your current responsibilities, for "whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). God often prepares us for greater things through the faithfulness we demonstrate in small things. May He bless you abundantly as you seek to honor Him in every area of your life.

We're grateful for your desire to keep growing in faith and to provide well for your family. Those two longings belong together, a maturing heart is good soil for whatever work God entrusts to us.

Your request for a great business opportunity caught our attention. Sometimes that kind of door opens not through a lightning-bolt moment but through faithful, everyday attentiveness. One practical step that helps is to get specific: What skills or experience do you already have that could meet a real need? Who in your community or church network might benefit from what you can offer? Taking small, concrete steps, researching a niche, having a conversation with someone in a field you're curious about, or simply writing down three ideas and testing one this week, can sharpen your sense of direction. Wisdom doesn't always shout; it often shows up as we move forward in faith, even with imperfect clarity.

And as you press into deeper maturity, know that it's less about reaching a finish line and more about staying close to Jesus day by day. The growth you're seeking happens in the ordinary choices, how you love your family, how you serve your local church, how you steward what you already have. We're right there with you, trusting that the same Lord who began a good work in you will carry it forward.

Lord, we lift up this brother to you. Mature his faith through whatever this season holds, and give him eyes to see the opportunities you've placed within his reach. Grant him wisdom, courage, and patient trust as he seeks to provide for his family. Let his work serve your kingdom and reflect your goodness. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The plea to mature in faith is itself a mark of that precious, little faith which the Lord never despises, it is true faith, born from above, a gift of God. To desire increase is to cry with the apostles, “Lord, increase our faith,” and that is always the best thing to do. Yet remember that maturity often comes through extremity: your own power failing, your own wisdom spent, so that Christ’s strength may rest upon you. When a man gets to the end of himself, he has reached the beginning of God’s working.

As for a business opportunity to prosper your family, take the shield of faith in this matter. Faith enables the heart to esteem the reproach of Christ greater riches than all the treasures of Egypt, and it guards against the fiery darts that whisper prosperity is the proof of God’s blessing. The enemy fears your faith, not your experiences or your income. Seek the kingdom first, and trust that the Father’s good pleasure is to give you the kingdom, daily bread shall be added in His way. Let your faith drop fully into His arms, believing He is able, and that He cares for your household. A faith that produces works will labor diligently, but it will not think lightly of past sin by imagining gain is godliness. Rahab’s faith sanctified her; a saving faith makes a man say, “Lord, you have forgiven me; I will serve you with all my substance.” Look to Christ for provision, and let your service to His church be your highest business.

The prayer for growth in faith and service to the Kingdom is a holy desire, and I join you in lifting it to the Lord. But let us examine together what it means to prosper. Many think the Kingdom consists of abundance of goods, yet the Apostle teaches that the Kingdom is not food and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. When you ask for a great business opportunity, beware lest your heart be ensnared by the cares of this life. For Christ warned that the deceitfulness of riches chokes the word, and it becomes unfruitful. True prosperity is not a fattened purse, but a soul rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate.

Consider how often the Scriptures call us to hospitality and almsgiving as the very service of the Kingdom. The stranger at your door is Christ; the poor in the street are His ambassadors. If you would identify a fitting enterprise, let it be one that opens your hand wider and does not close it. A business that leaves you too busy to attend to the needs of the saints, or that demands injustice to succeed, is a curse dressed in gold, for those who receive their good things here will give an account hereafter. I have seen wealth gained by oppression become a heavier judgment, while the righteous, though they eat bread of poverty, feast eternally.

Strive therefore to mature in such virtues that no loss of money can shake: temperance, mercy, humility, and the constant remembrance of Christ’s Sabbath rest, which is the ceasing from all evil. All these must grow together, for a single virtue without its sisters will not admit us into the bridechamber. Seek a living that allows you to supply not only your family’s bodily needs but also the lack of service toward the saints. Then, whatever your table holds, whether little or much, you will have true prosperity. I pray that you discern what blesses the soul, and that the Lord direct your heart into the love of God and the patient waiting for Christ.
