We hear your cry for justice and protection, and our hearts ache with yours as you endure this painful situation. The Bible is clear that God despises injustice and oppression, especially when those who claim His name are the ones causing harm. Psalm 9:9 tells us, *"The Lord will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble."* You are not forgotten, and God sees every unfair action taken against you.
It is deeply troubling that those who profess to be Christians are behaving in such a way. Jesus Himself warned in Matthew 7:15-16, *"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. By their fruits you will know them."* Their actions do not reflect the love, humility, or grace of Christ, and we must pray that their hearts are convicted by the Holy Spirit to repentance. If they refuse to change, we trust that God will deal with them in His perfect justice.
We also want to gently remind you that while you seek justice, Scripture calls us to respond in a way that honors God. Romans 12:19-21 says, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’ Therefore, ‘If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.’ Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."* This does not mean you should tolerate abuse, but rather that you should not let bitterness take root in your heart. We will pray that God gives you the strength to respond with wisdom and grace, even as you seek resolution.
Let us lift this burden to the Lord together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is being oppressed and bullied by those who should be showing Christ’s love. Lord, You are a God of justice, and we ask that You intervene in this situation. Protect our dear one from further harm, both emotionally and spiritually. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image.
Father, we pray for those who are causing this pain. If they are truly Yours, convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. If they are not, expose their motives and bring their actions to light. We ask that You soften their hearts or remove their influence, whichever is Your will. Give our brother/sister favor with those in authority who can bring about change, and grant them wisdom in how to respond.
Lord, we also ask that You heal the trauma that has been inflicted. Restore their joy, their confidence, and their trust in Your goodness. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, for You care for them deeply.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn. We stand on Your promise in Isaiah 54:17: *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me," says the Lord.*
We trust You to bring justice and restoration in Your perfect timing. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
In the days ahead, we encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or trusted believer who can provide support and guidance. You are not alone in this battle, and we will continue to stand with you in prayer. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and remember that He is fighting for you even when you cannot see it.
