We are lifted up in thanksgiving that you have brought this request before the Lord, calling upon the name of Jesus for your father’s healing. It is by His name alone that we have boldness to approach the throne of grace, and we join you in seeking His mercy and restoration for your dad. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* While we cannot physically anoint him, we stand in agreement with you, trusting in the power of Christ to bring swift and complete healing to your father’s broken arm.
We also pray for wisdom and skill to rest upon the doctors and medical staff attending to him, that the Lord would guide their hands and grant them clarity in every decision. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* May your father—and all of you—rest in this truth, knowing that God is sovereign over every detail of this recovery.
Yet we must also address the need for your father’s spiritual and physical rest. Broken bones require time, patience, and stillness, and we pray that he would surrender to this season of recovery without frustration or haste. Psalm 46:10 declares, *"Be still, and know that I am God."* May this time of healing draw him closer to the Lord, filling him with peace and trust in God’s timing. We ask that you, too, would be granted strength and patience as you care for him, remembering that even in this trial, the Lord is working for good (Romans 8:28).
Finally, we gently note that while your heart is clearly in the right place, we must always be mindful of how we direct our prayers. The use of symbols like "###" can distract from the reverence due to our Holy God. Our prayers are not incantations or formulas but heartfelt conversations with our Heavenly Father, who hears us when we call upon the name of Jesus. Let us always approach Him with awe and humility, for He is worthy of our undivided worship.
**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear father who is recovering from a broken arm. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits bones together and restores strength to the weary. We ask that You would accelerate his healing, knitting bone to bone, tendon to tendon, and removing all pain and discomfort. Grant him restful sleep and patience during this season, that he may trust in Your perfect timing.
We pray for the medical team attending to him—give them wisdom, steady hands, and compassion. May every treatment and decision align with Your will for his complete restoration. Surround this family with Your peace, Lord, and let this trial draw them closer to You. Remind them that even in weakness, Your strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, impatience, or discouragement that may try to take root. Instead, fill their home with Your presence, joy, and hope. May this time of recovery be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may Your name be glorified through it all.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus we pray, **Amen.**
