Power, internet issue, broken appliances

Kensem

Beloved of All
My apartment experienced a power outage last week. At least two appliances broke as a result. Someone was smoking in the house's enclosed areas. This is prohibited by law for the protection of non-smokers and for fire safety reasons. Please pray that the person or people regularly smoking in the house will be exposed, and that the authorities will use every means at their disposal (for example, camera recordings in communal areas) to resolve this issue.

My kettle broke last week after I left the house. I could smell a strange odour in the house and in the yard that was similar to the smell of gas. There might be an issue with the electricity supply or the socket, but thankfully there was no power cut today. Please pray that someone comes to help and fix the issue in Jesus' name.

Please pray that these two appliances are replaced under the terms of the guarantee or by some other means.

We lift up your concerns before the Lord, knowing that He is sovereign over all things, including the challenges you are facing in your home. It is good that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for Scripture reminds us in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* Our confidence is in Him alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and through which our prayers are heard.

First, we address the issue of smoking in the prohibited areas of your home. This is not only a violation of the law but also a danger to the health and safety of all residents. The Bible calls us to be good stewards of our bodies and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31). Knowingly endangering others through illegal and reckless behavior is not in alignment with God’s will. We pray that the Lord would expose those responsible, not out of malice, but for the sake of justice, safety, and repentance. Proverbs 28:13 tells us, *"He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy."* May the authorities be given wisdom and the means, such as surveillance, to address this issue swiftly. We also pray that those who are smoking in these areas would be convicted in their hearts and turn away from this harmful behavior, seeking forgiveness and making amends where necessary.

Regarding the electrical issues in your home, we are grateful that no further damage or harm has occurred, and we ask the Lord to protect you from any danger. The strange odor you described is concerning, and we pray that the Lord would send someone skilled and diligent to inspect and repair any faults in the electrical system or gas lines. Psalm 121:7-8 reassures us, *"The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."* Trust in His provision and timing, even as you take practical steps to ensure your safety, such as reporting the issue to your landlord or the appropriate authorities.

We also lift up the matter of your broken appliances. It is frustrating to lose items that are necessary for daily living, but we ask the Lord to provide for their replacement, whether through warranty coverage, the kindness of others, or an unexpected blessing. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Do not let anxiety overwhelm you, but cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). If there are steps you can take to pursue the warranty or seek assistance, do so with faith, knowing that the Lord goes before you.

Lastly, we thank God with you for the praise report that most issues have been resolved, except for the internet. Even in this, we ask the Lord to restore full functionality to your home, that you may have the tools you need for communication, work, or fellowship. Let this season of minor inconveniences remind you of the greater truth that our ultimate reliance is on Christ, not on our circumstances. He is your provider, protector, and peace.

**Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister and the challenges they are facing in their home. Lord, You are the God of order, safety, and provision, and we ask that You would intervene in each of these areas.

First, we pray for the exposure and resolution of the illegal smoking taking place in the prohibited areas. Lord, bring this to light in a way that cannot be ignored, and soften the hearts of those responsible that they may repent and turn from this behavior. Give wisdom to the authorities to take appropriate action, and protect all residents from harm. May Your justice and mercy prevail.

We ask for Your protection over the electrical and gas systems in the home. Send someone skilled to inspect and repair any faults, and prevent any accidents or further damage. Give our brother/sister discernment to know what steps to take and peace as they wait on You.

Father, we pray for the replacement of the broken appliances. Open doors for these items to be covered under warranty or provide for them in another way. Remind our brother/sister that You are their Provider, and that even in small things, You are faithful.

We thank You for the progress that has already been made in restoring power and hot water. Now, Lord, we ask that You would fully restore the internet connection, that all may function as it should for Your glory.

Finally, we pray that through these trials, our brother/sister would draw closer to You, trusting in Your sovereignty and goodness. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good and Your glory (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We're right there with you, praying for your situation. We've been thinking about your power and internet issues, as well as the smoking problem in your apartment. It's tough dealing with these things, but we know that God is in control and He's got this.

First off, let's pray for the smoking issue. It's not just about the law being broken, but it's also about the safety and health of everyone living there. We ask that God would expose those responsible, not to cause trouble, but so that they can be held accountable and make changes. We pray for the authorities to have wisdom in handling this, and for the smokers to have a change of heart, seeking forgiveness and making things right.

Now, about the power and electrical issues. We're glad that no one got hurt, and we ask God to protect you and your home. We pray that the strange odor you smelled would lead to a quick discovery and repair of any faults in the electrical system or gas lines. We trust that God will send the right people to fix this, and we ask that you would stay safe and take the necessary steps to ensure your well-being.

As for your broken appliances, we understand how frustrating that can be. But we trust that God will provide for their replacement, whether it's through warranty coverage, the kindness of others, or some other way. We pray that you would find peace in knowing that God is your Provider, and that even in small things, He is faithful.

Lastly, we're glad to hear that most of the issues have been resolved, except for the internet. We ask God to fully restore your internet connection, so that you can have all the tools you need for communication, work, or fellowship.

Through all these trials, we pray that you would grow closer to God, trusting in His sovereignty and goodness. We ask that He would strengthen your faith and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

Let's keep praying together, trusting in Jesus' name. Amen.
