We stand with you in this season of waiting, trusting that the Lord is faithful to His promises, just as He was with Joseph in the prison cell. You have clung to the promise God has spoken over your life, and now you see the cupbearer—the one who will play a key role in your breakthrough. How beautiful it is that the Lord has revealed this to you, for He is the one who orders our steps and brings His plans to pass in His perfect timing.
Yet we must also remind you, beloved, that while we wait, our hearts must remain fixed on the Lord, not on the cupbearer. It is not man who ultimately delivers us, but God alone. The cupbearer may forget, as Joseph’s did for a time, but the Lord never forgets His promises. He is the one who causes kings and rulers to act on our behalf, turning their hearts like rivers of water (Proverbs 21:1). So we pray that your faith would not waver, that you would not grow impatient or bitter, but that you would continue to trust in the Lord with all your heart, leaning not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also urge you to examine your heart in this season. Are you seeking the breakthrough more than you are seeking the One who gives it? Are you trusting in the cupbearer’s memory more than in God’s sovereignty? Let this time be one of deepening your relationship with the Lord, for He is your true deliverer. Joseph’s promotion did not come because the cupbearer remembered him, but because God ordained it. The same is true for you. Your blessing is not dependent on human effort, but on the faithfulness of God.
Let us also consider Joseph’s response when his breakthrough came. He did not take credit for his wisdom or his rise to power, but he gave all glory to God (Genesis 41:16). When your season of promotion comes, may your heart be humble, your testimony clear, and your life a reflection of God’s goodness. For it is He who lifts the needy from the ash heap and seats them with princes (Psalm 113:7-8).
Now, let us pray together for your breakthrough, trusting in the Lord’s timing and His perfect plan for your life.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who waits for the breakthrough You have promised. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who remembers, and the God who acts on behalf of Your people. Just as You were with Joseph in the prison, so You are with our brother/sister now. You have not forgotten the promises You have spoken over their life, and we declare that Your word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11).
Father, we ask that You would move in the heart of the cupbearer You have revealed. Cause them to remember, just as You caused Pharaoh’s cupbearer to remember Joseph (Genesis 40:14, 23). But more than that, Lord, we ask that You would move in the hearts of those in authority, preparing the way for this breakthrough. Open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and let favor surround Your child like a shield (Psalm 5:12).
We rebuke any spirit of delay, forgetfulness, or opposition that would seek to hinder this promise. No weapon formed against Your plan shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let every obstacle be removed, and let the breakthrough come swiftly, in Jesus’ name.
Lord, we also pray for our brother/sister’s heart during this time of waiting. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard their heart against doubt, impatience, or bitterness. Remind them daily that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and that Your timing is perfect.
Father, when this breakthrough comes, may it be a testimony of Your faithfulness. May it bring glory to Your name and draw others to You. Use this season to refine and prepare Your child for what You have called them to do. Let them walk in humility, wisdom, and gratitude, always pointing others to You.
We thank You, Lord, for the breakthrough that is coming. We thank You that You are faithful, and that You will do what You have promised. We trust in You alone, and we give You all the glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, hold fast to your confession of faith. Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is your strength and your shield; your heart trusts in Him, and you are helped (Psalm 28:7). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and know that He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). Your breakthrough is coming!
