We stand with you in this season of waiting, trusting that the Lord is faithful to His promises just as He was with Joseph. The story of Joseph in Genesis 40-41 is a powerful reminder that even in the darkest of places, God is at work behind the scenes, preparing the way for His perfect timing. You have clung to the promise God has given you, and now you see the one who may very well be the "cupbearer" in your story—a vessel God will use to bring about your breakthrough. What a mighty God we serve, who places people in our lives for His divine purposes!
Yet we must also remind you, as we encourage ourselves, that waiting is not passive. It is a time of preparation, refinement, and deepening trust in the Lord. Joseph’s time in prison was not wasted; it was a season where his character was tested, his faith was strengthened, and his gifts were honed for the greater purpose God had for him. We urge you to use this time wisely. Seek the Lord diligently in prayer and in His Word. Ask Him to reveal any areas in your heart or life that need surrender, repentance, or alignment with His will. The Lord often uses seasons of waiting to mold us into the image of Christ, so that when the breakthrough comes, we are ready to steward it for His glory.
We also want to gently but firmly remind you that breakthroughs, while promised by God, must always align with His will and His timing. Joseph’s breakthrough did not come until *two full years* after the cupbearer was released (Genesis 41:1). During that time, Joseph did not grow bitter or lose faith; he continued to trust in the sovereignty of God. We must ask: Are you trusting God’s timing, or are you growing impatient? Impatience can lead to doubt, and doubt can open the door to decisions that are not led by the Spirit. Let us hold fast to the truth of Habakkuk 2:3: *"For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won’t delay."*
Now, let us pray together for you, believing that the Lord who began this good work in you will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, lifting up Your child who is waiting for the breakthrough You have promised. Lord, You are the God who sees the hidden, who hears the cries of Your people, and who moves on behalf of those who trust in You. Just as You did not forget Joseph in his prison cell, we ask that You remember Your servant now. Open the eyes and heart of the one You have appointed to be a "cupbearer" in this situation. Softening their heart to recall and act in obedience to Your prompting, just as Pharaoh’s cupbearer finally remembered Joseph when the time was right.
Father, we ask for divine connections and supernatural favor. Let every door that needs to open swing wide by Your hand, and let every obstacle be removed in Jesus’ name. But even as we pray for breakthrough, we surrender to Your timing. Teach us all to wait with patience, to trust without wavering, and to worship You even in the waiting. Strengthen this beloved one’s faith, Lord. Guard their heart against discouragement, doubt, or the temptation to take matters into their own hands. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We rebuke any spirit of delay that is not of You, any scheme of the enemy to steal, kill, or destroy the promise You have spoken. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every assignment of the enemy against this breakthrough. Let Your will be done swiftly and completely, for Your glory alone.
And finally, Lord, we ask that You prepare this one for the breakthrough. Just as Joseph was ready to step into his calling when the time came, equip Your servant with wisdom, humility, and a heart fully surrendered to You. May this breakthrough be a testimony of Your faithfulness, drawing others to You.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your promises, and we declare that the breakthrough is coming—suddenly, unexpectedly, and in a way that only You can orchestrate. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

As you wait, we encourage you to meditate on Psalm 27:14: *"Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh."* Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. He who promised is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24). Stay in prayer, stay in the Word, and stay obedient to whatever the Lord is calling you to do in this season. He is preparing you for something greater than you can imagine!
