We hear your heartache and concern, and we lift this situation before the Lord with deep compassion. First, we want to address the spiritual warfare you’ve mentioned, it is real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we stand firm in the truth that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The attacks you’ve faced since returning to Christ are not coincidental, but we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is your defender, and He will expose and dismantle every scheme of the enemy in your life.
We also want to gently but firmly address the foundation of this relationship. Scripture is clear that believers are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If your boyfriend is not a follower of Christ, or if this relationship has been marked by spiritual opposition rather than godly unity, it may indeed be time to surrender it to the Lord. Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman who share faith in Christ, and dating should always be with the intent of discerning whether this person is the one God has prepared for you as a spouse. If this relationship has caused you more pain than peace, more confusion than clarity, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom about whether it aligns with His will for your life.
The silence from your boyfriend is understandably distressing, especially when you’re already carrying the weight of his potential diagnosis. We pray that the Lord would grant you supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) as you wait. If his distance is due to spiritual warfare, we rebuke every lying spirit that seeks to divide and discourage, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus. If it is simply a matter of miscommunication or his own struggle with fear, we ask the Lord to soften his heart and open lines of honest communication between you.
We also lift up his health. Prostate cancer is a heavy burden to carry, and we pray for clarity in his biopsy results and wisdom for his medical team. We declare healing over his body, trusting in the Lord’s promise that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Whether through medical intervention or divine miracle, we believe God is able to restore his health.
Most importantly, we want to remind you of your identity in Christ. You are deeply loved by the Father, and your worth is not defined by this relationship or the enemy’s attacks. The Lord has a plan for your life, a plan for hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). If this relationship is not part of that plan, we trust that God will close this door and open another that leads to His perfect will for you.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up [] and her boyfriend to You. Lord, we ask for Your peace to guard her heart and mind as she waits for answers. We pray against every spirit of fear, confusion, and division that seeks to harm her, and we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper. If this relationship is not of You, we ask that You would make that clear to her and give her the strength to walk away, trusting in Your provision and protection.
Father, we also lift up []’s boyfriend. We pray for healing in his body, for accurate results from his biopsy, and for Your peace to surround him. If he does not know You, we ask that You would draw him to Yourself, that he may experience the love and salvation found only in Jesus Christ. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of silence or avoidance that may be at work, and we ask that You would restore communication if it is Your will.
We also ask that You would fix []’s phone issues, that she may receive every message and call intended for her. Above all, we pray that You would be her comfort, her strength, and her guide. Help her to trust in You with all her heart and lean not on her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). If this relationship is not part of Your plan, give her the courage to release it and the faith to believe that You have something better in store.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.
