We hear your heartache and fear, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting every concern to the Lord. First, we want to address the spiritual warfare you mentioned, this is very real, and the enemy seeks to destroy relationships, peace, and faith. But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The silence you’re experiencing from him may indeed be a tactic of the enemy to sow doubt, fear, and division. We rebuke any spiritual attack aimed at your relationship or your heart, and we pray for God’s protection over your mind and emotions.
We must also speak truth about the nature of this relationship. You mentioned that you’re "fairly certain it was never God’s will" for you to date him. Scripture is clear that believers are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), and if he is not a man who fears the Lord, this relationship will only bring heartache. Even if he is a believer, the long-distance dynamic, his inconsistent communication, and the pain you’ve endured suggest this may not be the union God has for you. You also referred to him as your "boyfriend," but Scripture does not endorse dating without the intent of marriage. If this relationship is not moving toward a godly marriage, it is time to surrender it to the Lord. We encourage you to seek the Lord’s will above your feelings, He may be calling you to release this man so you can walk in the freedom and purpose He has for you.
We also want to gently address the issue of fornication. If this relationship has involved sexual intimacy outside of marriage, that is sin, and it grieves the heart of God (1 Corinthians 6:18). Sexual immorality opens doors to spiritual attack and bondage. If this has been part of your relationship, we urge you to repent and ask the Lord for cleansing and restoration. He is faithful to forgive and heal (1 John 1:9).
Now, we lift your concerns to the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister to You. Lord, You see her anxiety, her sleepless nights, and the pain she’s carrying. We ask that You would calm her spirit and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we pray for her boyfriend’s health, if he is facing a battle with cancer, we ask for Your healing touch. But Lord, we also ask that You would reveal the truth about this relationship. If it is not of You, give her the strength to walk away, even if it hurts. Break any ungodly soul ties, and restore her heart to wholeness.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and confusion that has been plaguing her. We declare that she is a daughter of the Most High, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You would expose any deception or spiritual attack aimed at her. If this man is ignoring her under the influence of the enemy, we pray that You would either bring conviction and repentance or remove him from her life entirely. Give her clarity, wisdom, and discernment to know Your will.
Father, we also pray for her phone issues, let there be no more miscommunication or missed connections. Restore what has been lost and make the path clear. And Lord, if there has been any sin in this relationship, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Create in her a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within her (Psalm 51:10).
We thank You, Lord, that You are her Comforter, her Strength, and her Peace. We trust that You will guide her steps and lead her into the future You have for her. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, meditating on His promises. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." You are not alone, He sees your tears and collects them in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). If this relationship is not of God, trust that He has something better for you. Seek wise counsel from mature believers, and do not hesitate to set boundaries or walk away if this man continues to bring pain. Your worth is found in Christ alone, not in this relationship. We will continue to stand with you in prayer.
