Boyfriend

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray about this: my boyfriend has ### which have made him experience a lot of ### and ###. Yesterday he was ### to stay awake and now I haven't heard from him since early morning. It's afternoon now. Please pray that he's okay. Thank you.

We hear your deep concern for your boyfriend and we come before the Lord together, lifting him up in prayer. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23 WEB). If you or your boyfriend have not yet surrendered your lives to Christ, we urge you to consider the salvation He offers. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). This is the first and most important step in any situation.

Now, regarding your relationship, we must gently but firmly address the biblical principles that guide godly courtship. The term "boyfriend" implies a relationship that, according to Scripture, should be pursued with the intention of marriage. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and any romantic relationship outside of this framework must be entered into with purity and purpose. "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If you and your boyfriend are not married, we encourage you to examine whether your relationship honors God in its intentions and actions. Are you both committed to purity, accountability, and the ultimate goal of marriage? If not, we must rebuke any sinful patterns and ask the Lord to redirect your hearts toward His will.

We also feel compelled to address the struggles you’ve mentioned, particularly the use of substances to stay awake or cope with difficulties. The Bible warns against relying on anything other than God for strength and comfort. "Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18 WEB). If your boyfriend is turning to unhealthy or sinful means to cope with his struggles, we must pray for his deliverance and restoration. Addiction, whether to substances or other harmful habits, is a snare that only Christ can break. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed" (Luke 4:18 WEB).

With all this in mind, we lift your boyfriend up to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this young man who is struggling. Lord, we ask that You would watch over him right now, protect him from harm, both physically and spiritually. If he is in danger or in need, surround him with Your angels and bring him to a place of safety. Father, we rebuke any spirit of addiction, despair, or bondage that may be gripping him. We declare that he is not a slave to these struggles, for "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). Break every chain, Lord, and fill him with Your peace and strength.

We also pray for wisdom and conviction for both him and the one who has shared this request. Father, if their relationship is not aligned with Your will, we ask that You would expose any areas of sin or compromise. Give them the courage to pursue purity, accountability, and godly counsel. If marriage is Your plan for them, prepare their hearts to enter into that covenant with reverence and commitment. If not, give them the strength to walk away and trust You with their futures.

Lord, we ask that You would draw this young man to Yourself. If he does not know You as Savior, reveal Your love and truth to him. Soften his heart to receive the gospel, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in victory and purpose.

We trust You, Father, to move in this situation. Give comfort and patience to the one waiting for news, and let her rest in the assurance that You are in control. We declare that Your will be done, and we thank You for hearing our prayer. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We feel the weight of that silence, when a loved one’s health leaves you waiting for any sign they’re okay. The fear is real, and you’re not alone in it.

Right now, the best thing we can do alongside prayer is make sure someone can physically check on him. If you have a family member, neighbor, or friend nearby who could knock on his door, or even help you request a welfare check from local emergency services, that’s a loving, concrete step. Acting practically isn’t a lack of faith; it’s caring for him when he may not be able to reach out.

As you wait, remember God sees exactly where he is. You don’t have to carry the outcome yourself. Breathe slowly, keep your phone close, and let yourself lean on those who are praying with you. We’re holding this with you.

Jesus, You know where this man is right now, and what his body needs. Send the right help, rouse anyone nearby who can act, and bring news that settles his girlfriend’s heart. Guard her from the spiral of what‑ifs, and give her steady peace that rests in Your care. We trust him to You. Amen.

The weight of this anxiety presses heavily upon a loving heart, and it is well that you bring it before the throne of grace. The peril of those we cherish drives us closer to the only wise God our Saviour, who is able to keep us from falling and to present us faultless before His glory. Whether this trial involves the body, the mind, or the spirit, remember that perfect health lies in the right condition of the whole man, and God Himself is the health of our countenance and our God. Cry to Him on behalf of this soul, and find rest in His unshakable faithfulness.

Yet let your hope be fixed not upon merely receiving good news, but upon the Lord who holds every breath in His hands. Many seek a superficial ease, a healing of the hurt without the wound being cleansed, but true safety rests in that great truth: our Saviour is both able and wise to keep us. If the sharp cut of the surgeon’s knife ministers to ultimate health, is it not best? Trust Him who knows the end from the beginning, and who walks with us through the valley of the shadow of death. Whether He speaks immediate deliverance or says, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him,” the soul that leans upon Christ shall never be confounded.

May the Lord draw near to this suffering one, whether in body or soul, and grant the peace that passes understanding. And may He give you the sweet contentment that does not need to see, but can rest in His promise, for He is all your salvation, all your desire, and all your praise.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your distress over your boyfriend’s condition is natural, and I join my prayers to yours that he may be restored to health and communication. But while you plead for his body, do not neglect the more urgent care of his soul and your own. For what benefit if the body be whole, yet the soul lies sick with sin? I do not speak to condemn, but to awaken you to the mercy of God, who desires not the death of a sinner but that he turn and live.

When you pray, do so with thanksgiving for all things, even trials, for the Lord is at hand and works all for our profit. The peace of God, which passes understanding, will guard your heart if you commit both him and yourself to God in prayer, not only asking but giving thanks. Consider the woman at the well: Christ reproved her hidden shame, yet she did not flee but admired Him and sought heavenly things. So let this anxiety lead you to seek the true healing that comes from repentance and a life ordered by His commandments.

We will pray that he is safe, and that this affliction may be a means of drawing you both nearer to God, to live in purity and reverence, for the day of judgment is near. In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

The silence you’re sitting in right now is hard, and the worry that clings to it is real. When someone we love is out of reach and we know they’ve been struggling, our minds can spin through every worst possibility. In moments like this, the instinct is to brace for bad news. But there’s a different kind of waiting God invites you into, a waiting that isn’t passive dread but active trust. You can turn your heart toward Him and say, “Lord, I don’t know what’s happening, but I’m placing him in Your hands right now.” That shift changes everything. The moment you cry out to God, He is very gracious to answer.

Your boyfriend’s physical battles have been heavy. Some conditions wear a person down so thoroughly that staying awake becomes a fight in itself. While we can’t claim that every illness is tied to something spiritual, Scripture does show us that the well-being of the soul and the body are deeply connected. So as you pray for his safety and health, also pray for his soul to prosper, for the peace of God to guard his heart and mind in ways that touch his whole person. Ask the Lord to minister to whatever is underneath the surface, whether fear, exhaustion, or something else only God sees.

Prayer itself can become a point of contact where you release your faith. Instead of letting your thoughts spiral, you can pause in this very moment, picture him, and entrust him definitively to the Shepherd who never sleeps. You’re not just hoping things turn out okay; you’re handing him over to the One who formed him and knows exactly where he is right now. That act of faith doesn’t deny the danger or the pain, but it anchors you in something far stronger than your own ability to control the outcome.

Remember too that the story doesn’t end with these bodies that fail and falter. We live in a creation that groans under the weight of all that’s broken, and we groan along with it. But we wait with a solid hope for the day when every ailment, every weakness, and every desperate night will be swallowed up in life. One day hope will give way to reality. Until then, let that eternal perspective sustain you. His ultimate safety is already secured in Christ, beyond any crisis this day could bring.

Use this silence to wait on God, not just on a text or a call. Let your heart be like a servant who is watching, ready to open the door the moment the Lord moves. There is no false emergency here and no need to run away into panic. Your boyfriend is not beyond the reach of grace, and you are not alone in carrying this burden. Every earthly crutch may feel broken right now, but that’s where God shows Himself strong on behalf of those who lean wholly on Him.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this deeply concerning time. Our hearts have been united with yours as we lifted your boyfriend before the Lord, asking for His healing touch, comfort, and protection over him. We prayed specifically for peace to surround you both, for wisdom for those caring for him, and for the Lord’s presence to be tangible in this trial.

If God has answered these prayers in a way you can see—if your boyfriend is safe, if his condition has improved, or if you’ve simply felt the Lord’s nearness in the waiting—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report. Your testimony could be a source of hope for others walking through similar valleys.

If, however, the silence persists and the burden still weighs heavily on your heart, please don’t hesitate to post this as a new request. We are here to continue praying with you, to intercede for his restoration, and to trust God’s faithfulness even when the outcome isn’t yet clear. You are not alone in this.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses understanding, and may He draw you both closer to Himself through this trial. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus.
