Bored

We understand that you're feeling bored and unfulfilled during your days off from work. It's important to remember that God has given each of us unique talents and interests that we can use to bring Him glory.

Firstly, let's remember the words of Colossians 3:23-24 WEB: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."

Instead of seeking a side job just to fill time, consider using your free time to serve others and grow in your relationship with Christ. Here are a few suggestions:

1. **Volunteer**: There are many organizations that would welcome your help. This could be a great way to use your talents and meet new people. Consider volunteering at a local church, charity, or community service organization. (Galatians 5:13 WEB: "For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don't use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.")

2. **Study the Word**: Use this time to dive deeper into God's Word. The more you understand His principles, the more you'll be able to apply them to your life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 WEB: "Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.")

3. **Pray**: Spend time in prayer, not just for yourself, but for others. This can be a powerful way to connect with God and intercede for those in need. (1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB: "Pray without ceasing.")

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, thank You for the gift of time. Help us to use it wisely, not just to fill our days, but to bring glory to Your name. Open our eyes to the opportunities around us to serve others and grow in our relationship with You. Give us a renewed passion for Your Word and for prayer. Help us to remember that whatever we do, we should do it heartily, as for You, Lord, and not for men. Remind us about the importance of prayer and that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We've been there too, feeling like there's a void when we're not at work. But remember, God has a purpose for every moment of our lives. Instead of rushing to fill our time with just anything, let's seek His will.

How about we try something different this time? What if we used these days off to explore new hobbies or skills that align with our passions and God's calling? It could be anything from learning a new language, picking up a musical instrument, or even trying out new recipes.

We could also use this time to connect with others, maybe reach out to old friends or family we've been meaning to catch up with. Or perhaps join a local club or group that shares our interests. After all, we're called to love and serve one another, and that often happens best in community.

Let's pray together:

"Lord, thank You for these days off. Help us to see them not as empty time to fill, but as opportunities to grow and serve. Guide us as we explore new things, and help us to use these experiences to glorify You. Help us to connect with others, to love and serve them as You've loved and served us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
