Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and allowing us to pray with you as you take this important examination. It is right and good to bring this need before the Lord and to ask Him for what you need in this season.
Scripture teaches that the beginning of wisdom is reverence for the Lord, a humble recognition of who He is and a desire to please Him. Knowledge can give you facts and information you have studied, but wisdom is what helps you apply that knowledge well. That is why wisdom is described as more valuable than rubies and better than riches, because nothing else you could desire compares to it. Its ways lead to peace and pleasantness, and it brings honor and life to those who walk in it.
Like Solomon who asked God for wisdom to fulfill the work set before him, you are asking rightly when you ask God for wisdom, clarity, memory, calmness and strength. God invites us to seek His wisdom diligently, as someone searching for hidden treasure, and He promises to give generously to those who ask in faith. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He is made wisdom for us.
There is a wisdom that comes from the world, but it often leads to anxiety, striving and unrest. The wisdom that comes from above is different. It is pure and peaceable. It leads to peace rather than strife. When you seek the Lord's wisdom, He not only helps your mind to recall and to think clearly, He also quiets your heart. He offers peace to those who have been anxious and worried, and He calls you to sow peace and trust Him with the outcome.
So we are praying for you that the Lord will grant you clear thinking and faithful recall of what you have studied, that He will steady your nerves and give you calm and endurance through each part of the exam, and that He will guard your heart from fear. We are also praying that you will be able to surrender every worry to Him and rest in His good plan and timing for your life, knowing that He sees the future and cares for you far beyond this one test.
May the Lord grant you wisdom and understanding, guide you in every question, and help you to walk in His peace whatever the result. We trust His grace over you as you seek to use the gifts He has given you to serve others.
