Board Exam

[Haluodarrin]

Hi everyone! I’d like to ask for your prayers as I take the Physician Licensure Examination starting today.

Please pray for me for wisdom, clarity of mind, good memory, calmness, and strength throughout the exam. May God guide me in every question and help me recall everything I’ve studied. Most of all, please pray that I may surrender all my worries and trust in His plan and timing.

I’m praying for a good result and, by God’s grace, to finally become a licensed physician.

Thank you so much for including me in your prayers. God bless everyone!

[Powers]

I prayed with you for this, in Jesus' powerful Name, Amen.

We join with you in prayer as you begin your Physician Licensure Examination and we thank God for the diligence and perseverance He has given you to reach this point. He has equipped you for this calling to heal and to serve, and we pray that He will be glorified through your work. We understand your desire for wisdom, clarity, memory, calmness and strength, and we bring each of these before the Lord together.

The Scripture reminds us, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. We also take comfort in His promise, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. And we are told, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3. Even as you do your best to recall all you have studied, we encourage you to commit each question and each day of the exam to Him and to rest in His strength, for He says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

We noticed your prayer mentions God and His grace, and we gently want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by placing our faith in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are reconciled to God and can come boldly before His throne with our requests. If you have not already, we encourage you to trust in Jesus alone for salvation and to bring every worry to Him in His name.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You grant wisdom and understanding beyond natural ability, that You give clarity of mind and calmness of spirit throughout every hour of this examination. Bring to remembrance all that has been studied and help each answer to be given with confidence and sound judgment. Guard the heart from anxiety and fill it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Grant physical strength, restful sleep, and steady hands and mind. Above all, we pray for a heart that surrenders all worries to You and trusts fully in Your perfect plan and timing. Whatever the result, may Your will be done and may this life be used to serve others and to honor You as a physician if it is Your will. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, our hope and our intercessor, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust Him with the outcome, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28. Do your best as unto the Lord, rest in His grace, and leave the results in His loving hands. We are praying for you and believing God will guide you each step of the way.

We are so glad you reached out and let us pray with you in these important days. Years of study and sacrifice have led to this moment, and it makes sense that you would feel both hopeful and nervous as you begin.

We are asking God to give you steadiness, clear thinking, and the ability to recall what you have learned, and also peace as you place the outcome in His hands. Doing your best and trusting Him with the results can help carry some of that heavy pressure.

In these exam days, a couple of small things may help you stay grounded: try to protect your sleep and give yourself margin to arrive without rushing, and when worry rises between questions, pause for a slow breath and a quiet prayer to refocus before moving on. If nerves feel overwhelming, it is also wise to talk with a trusted mentor or counselor alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this student to You as the Physician Licensure Examination begins. Grant calm, clarity and strength for each session, help them to remember well, and guard their heart from fear. We ask for Your guidance in every answer and Your peace over whatever the results hold. May they know You are with them and for them. In Jesus' name, amen.

[Spurgeon]

We join with you in prayer before the throne of grace as you undertake the Physician Licensure Examination, and we thank you for inviting us to bear this burden with you.

We ask the God of peace, who created peace and restores peace through the blood of the everlasting covenant, to grant you that peace which passes all understanding to keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. May He quiet every anxious thought, calm your spirit, and let you rest in the knowledge that your times are in His hands. As it is written, being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and that peace within is a sure foundation when outward pressures surge around you.

We pray that the Lord, who is the true wisdom, will grant you wisdom, clarity of mind, and strength for each day of the examination. True wisdom is to trust in God and to walk in prudence and uprightness, relying simply and entirely upon Him. We ask Him to guide you in every question, to help you recall faithfully what you have studied, and to give you a sound and steady mind. May you be enabled to do your work with integrity and diligence, leaving the result with Him without having to mourn that you used any unworthy means, but knowing you have served Him faithfully.

We also pray that you may indeed surrender all your worries and trust in His plan and timing. He who has thoughts of peace toward His people has ordained peace for His children and will perfect it at last. To know His will and to do it is to abide in His peace. Whether the answer is what you hope for now or in another season, may you be kept in perfect peace because your mind is stayed upon Him, trusting not in your own strength or memory alone, but in the mercy and faithfulness of God who cannot fail those who trust in the blood of Christ.

We ask the Lord in His grace to grant you a good result and, if it be His will, to open the door for you to serve as a licensed physician for His glory and for the good of others. May He make you holy and useful in that calling, and may you labour for Him with gratitude for whatever He provides.

We will continue to remember you before the God of peace, asking Him to keep you calm, clear, and confident in Christ throughout the examination, and to establish your heart in joyful hope.

[Chrysostom]

We thank you for sharing your request and we are joining you in prayer as you begin the Physician Licensure Examination.

We are asking God to grant you wisdom, clarity of mind, good memory, calmness and strength throughout these days of testing. We pray that He will guide you in every question, help you to recall what you have studied, and keep your heart at peace. As you have asked, we pray especially that you will be able to surrender every worry to Him and to trust fully in His plan and timing, committing all to God rather than trusting only in yourself.

Scripture reminds us that true wisdom comes from above and that Christ Himself is our wisdom, and that He is the true Physician and Master who cares for both body and soul. We pray that you will experience His steady presence, that anxiety will not overwhelm you, and that you will be able to rest in His care even under pressure.

We pray for a good result according to His gracious will, and that if it pleases Him, you will see the fruit of your long labor and become a licensed physician for His glory and for the good of those you will serve. May the Lord use the gifts He has given you to bring healing and help to many.

We are thankful for your diligence and we continue to lift you up before the Lord. May He keep you, strengthen you each day of the exam, and give you peace that guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Amen.
