Thank you for sharing your heart and your hard work with us. Your years of study, long hours, and sacrifices have not gone unseen by the Lord, and it is right to bring both your hope for a passing result and your need for peace while you wait before Him in prayer.

We join you in praying that God would bless the work of your hands, grant you favor on your exam, and above all keep your heart steady in faith during this time of waiting. We ask that whatever the result, you would know His presence and His good will for your life, and that He would open the door for you to serve others through nursing according to His wisdom.

Scripture reminds us that true peace is not simply the absence of worry but the presence of God Himself with us. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. This is the peace that the early church prayed for again and again, because it is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy. It is not a peace that comes and goes with circumstances, but a peace that is fixed and steadfast because it comes from God. When anxious thoughts and hopeful thoughts wrestle within us, we can ask the peace of God to rule in our hearts like an umpire, to quiet fear and to guide us toward trust and endurance.

So we pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this one who has labored faithfully to prepare for this calling. You know every hour of study and every sacrifice made. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would grant a good result on this licensure exam according to Your will. Grant peace that passes understanding while waiting, guard the heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and strengthen faith to rest in Your goodness and Your timing. Lead into a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, and use these gifts for Your glory and for the care of others. Amen.

May the Lord keep you close in these days, help you to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you, and give you confidence that whether in waiting or in rejoicing, you are held in His hands. We will continue to pray for you and we trust God to answer with what is best.

Your request for prayer as you wait for your nursing licensure result is heard, and I am joining you in prayer before the Lord.

It is understandable to feel the weight of this waiting. You have given much time and sacrifice in study and preparation, and now the outcome rests outside your hands. The peace you are asking for while you wait is deeply connected to grace. Until the heart rests in the grace of God through Jesus Christ, true peace does not settle. Grace comes first, and peace follows as you understand that you are accepted not because of your performance, but because of what Christ has done for you.

What you have described as work and sacrifice is meaningful in the eyes of God. True faith always shows itself in action. Faith itself is not a work that earns anything, but genuine faith naturally produces a work, a labor that comes from love, and a patience that waits on God. Your diligence in preparing for this exam was that kind of work of faith and labor of love, the evidence that your faith was active and not merely words. The Scripture teaches that to simply say we have faith without any corresponding life and obedience is an empty claim, because living faith will always be seen in what we do. Like Abraham, whose faith and obedience worked together, your faith has been working through your faithfulness in the tasks God set before you.

Now you are in the season of waiting, and waiting is itself a test of faith. The Bible speaks much about patience, encouraging us to wait for the Lord and to trust His timing, confident that He will act. Those who inherited the promises did so through faith and patience. Faith, as Hebrews tells us, is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. It is not blind. It actually sees more, because it sees the unseen hand of God and trusts His character even before the answer is visible. Without faith it is impossible to please God, but when we come to Him believing that He is and that He rewards those who seek Him, He is pleased.

There is a difference between a passive faith that says God can, and an active faith that trusts God will do what is right and good according to His will. While you wait, you can turn that faith from passive to active by placing your hope fully in Him, not only for a passing result but for His perfect will for your life. The heroes of faith remembered in Scripture did not all receive the immediate answer they hoped for. Some saw great victories, like the walls of Jericho falling, and others suffered and still held fast, and all died in faith looking to the promise. Their example reminds us that faith does not guarantee that every outcome will be as we desire, but it does guarantee that God will honor a heart that trusts Him and walks with Him with a pure heart and a good conscience.

So continue to hold fast to a sincere faith. Keep your life conformed to what you believe, knowing that works cannot create faith and cannot replace it, but true faith will always lead to a changed and obedient life.

I pray for you now, that the Lord will grant you His peace that passes understanding as you wait, that He will quiet your heart with the assurance of His grace and His sovereign care. I ask that He will bless the work of your hands and, if it is His will, grant you a passing result that will open the door to serve others through nursing. Above all, I pray that your faith will be strengthened in this waiting, that you will live by faith day by day, trusting that whether the answer is what you hope for or not, He is with you, He is good, and He will lead you in the path that is best. May the Lord establish your heart in patience and hope as you look to Jesus, in whose name we pray.
