Blood pressure and panic attacks

Tachick

Faithful Servant
Please pray and ask God that if it is His will He could please keep my blood pressure down while I'm at the doctor so they don't send me to a hospital or tests or anything and that I can go straight home. Please pray that God will keep my panic attacks away while I'm there and keep my son ### safe and happy. I ask in the name of Jesus. Thank you and God bless you. ###

We hear your heartfelt plea and stand with you in prayer, lifting your concerns to the Lord who holds all things in His hands. The fear of high blood pressure and panic attacks in a medical setting is very real, and we know how overwhelming that can feel. We also join you in praying for your son’s safety and joy, for children are a precious gift from the Lord (Psalm 127:3).

First, we want to gently remind you that while we trust God for His healing and peace, we must also honor Him by seeking wisdom in our physical care. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and it is right to take steps to understand and manage our health. If medical professionals recommend further evaluation, we encourage you to prayerfully consider their counsel, trusting that God can work through them as part of His provision.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Great Physician. Lord, You know the anxieties and fears that weigh on this dear one’s heart. We ask that You would calm their spirit and steady their body as they prepare to see the doctor. By Your power, we pray that their blood pressure would remain stable, not as a sign to dismiss care, but as a testament to Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard their heart from panic, Lord, and fill them with Your perfect love that casts out fear (1 John 4:18).

We also lift up their son to You, Father. Keep him safe, surround him with Your angels, and let him feel the joy that comes from Your presence. May he grow in wisdom and favor with You and with others, just as Jesus did (Luke 2:52).

Lord, we trust You with every detail of this situation. If it is Your will, grant clarity, peace, and a smooth visit. But above all, draw this dear one closer to You, that they may find rest in Your sovereignty. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or find salvation (Acts 4:12). Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on God’s promises as you wait. Psalm 56:3 says, "When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You." Even in moments of uncertainty, He is your refuge. If fear begins to rise, speak His Word aloud, remind yourself that He is with you. And remember, the Lord delights in your trust, even when the path ahead feels unclear.

May His peace, which guards your heart and mind, be with you now and always.

We can hear the weight in this, the tension of a doctor’s visit hovering, the fear that a simple appointment could spiral into something more, and underneath it all a mother’s tender concern for her son. So many of us have been there: the racing heart, the numbers climbing, the dread of being sent somewhere you didn’t plan to go. Please know you’re not alone, and a high reading in that anxious moment doesn’t always mean what it feels like it means.

When you’re waiting, it can help to let the nurse know you’re feeling nervous. They see this every day, and they may let you sit quietly, take a few slow breaths, and recheck after you’ve had a moment to settle. That often gives a truer picture, and it might ease your mind. Even if the number stays up, your doctor has many tools to manage that without sending you to a hospital right away.

We’re praying with you now, not just for calm in your body, but for a sense of steady presence in that exam room, and for your son to be safe and bright-hearted while you’re apart.

Lord Jesus, you know the quick pulse and tight chest this mother is carrying. Quiet her body. Keep her pressure steady and her mind clear of panic. Let this appointment be simple and brief, and let her walk straight home with no detours. Hold her son close today, keep him protected and fill his world with simple, sturdy happiness. Surround this family with your peace, the kind that settles deep and doesn’t scatter. Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. May our Heavenly Father strengthen you and grant you good health dues this time. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. When you cannot plead so as to prevail, the blood pleads. If you are to win mercy from God and get forgiveness, it will not be by the efficacy of your prayers and tears, but through the efficacy of that blood of God's dear Son!

Look up to the flowing of the Savior's blood and trust Him, for nothing can ever shake you then! As for those of us who possess the things which cannot be shaken, let us stand fast and be of good courage. Whatever may happen during this week, let us play the man. These things shake not the fact that Jesus loves you: "My beloved is mine, and I am His."

Visit me not as a saved one, but, "visit me with Your salvation." I am lost until You come to me. O come, Lord, and visit me as a Savior! Come and visit me as a Physician, for I am sick! Pay me a visit of mercy, a visit of Grace and tenderness.

It is a very profitable thing to visit a hospital. The sight of others' sickness tends to make us grateful for our own health. And if we visit a hospital and come back with a more tender heart, we shall have found it a sanatorium to ourselves. Will you cast yourself, now, whether you shall live or die, upon the precious blood and merits of Jesus Christ the Savior? Will you come and rest your soul upon the Son of God? As you do so, you are saved! Your sins, which are many, are now forgiven you! And the sea of the atoning blood, in the fullness of its strength, has gone over the heads of all your enemies, your sins are drowned in Jesus' blood! Oh, what joy is this when, in answer to a cry, God delivers us from our present distresses and our threatened future destructions!

I beseech you for that son, whom you have begotten in bonds of love. He came to hear me preach in the prison. He has been listening to me while I am still a captive and he has been given to me, as another son in the Gospel, to be a comfort to me in my bonds. I beseech you for him. Is the eldest son yet made a partaker of Divine Grace? "Yes." Oh, then that is a mercy, because elder brothers have so much to do, by their example, in inclining younger brothers rightly or wrongly.

Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling...to the only wise God our Savior. Our safety lies in our Savior, God our Savior. So our safety is assured by the fact that we have a God who is able and is as wise as He is able to keep us from falling. And to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. There is the safety of my spirit. It is a grand thing to feel that God's Throne might sooner fail than that a saint can perish, for His Throne, itself, is established in righteousness!

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask prayer that God would keep your body’s humors calm in the physician’s presence, that you might avoid the hospital and go straight home. But consider the disorder of the soul that produces this panic. The body trembles because the heart has fixed its hope on earthly safety. You flee the doctor’s instruments as though they were the final judgment, yet you do not flee the occasions of sin with the same urgency. Why should the vessel be more terrified of a mortal man’s verdict than of the wounds that defile the conscience? The devil assails most when he finds a soul isolated and fixed upon itself. Your petition reveals one who has been left alone with her fears, bandying thoughts back and forth, and the enemy has used the solitude to kindle a blaze. Where is the flock? Where are the brethren with whom you ought to be gathered, that the devil might not find you an easy prey?

You ask also that your son be kept safe and happy. True safety is not the absence of bodily trial, but the preservation of the soul from the nets of the evil one. Do you seek for him a happiness that the world gives, a fragile delight that shipwrecks the soul while it entertains the eyes? There is a spectacle far more perilous than any physician’s chamber, where souls drown not in water but in lasciviousness, and yet men call that destruction a pleasure voyage. If you would have your son kept truly, lead him to the spiritual choirs, to the fountain of Christ’s blood, not to the polluted streams where the devil’s melodies are sung with such pleasure. The greater joy in heaven is over one sinner brought back to safety than over many who think themselves secure. Let your care for his soul exceed your trembling for his bodily ease.

Yet you ask in the name of Jesus, and this is well. The blood that was shed without the camp is the only remedy that purges the conscience and silences the tempest within. Not the blood of irrational beasts, which could never perfect the worshipper, but the blood of the New Testament, which was foreordained before the foundation of the world and offered once for all. That sacrifice had no earthly fire, no repeated ritual; it was accomplished in blood, and by it an entire redemption was wrought, that we should no longer be held in slavery to fear. If you would have your panic cast out, do not merely ask that the symptoms flee while the root remains untouched. Bid Christ enter the chamber of your heart first, and He will cast forth the pipers and the noisy tumults that make His presence impossible. When He comes, He turns the water of unstable desire into the wine of spiritual courage. Then the physician’s office becomes no more than a shadow, for you have already stood before the great Physician who heals the soul.

Do not think it harsh when I say that your fear betrays a love still entangled with the things you ought to have slighted long ago. Paul would have chosen to end his life with famine rather than cause a weaker brother to stumble, yet you are cast down by a measuring of the arm and a stranger’s scrutiny. Where is the rejoicing with trembling before the Lord? Where is the doing of all things, whether eating or drinking or suffering the body’s frailty, to the glory of God? The thing you dread is precisely the arena where faith is perfected. If God permits the trial, will you dictate to Him the terms of your exit? Or will you say, as the three children did, that He is able to deliver, but even if He does not, you will not bow to the idol of fear?

Go then to the physician, but go having first drunk deeply of the awful cup that was poured out for the remission of sins. That blood speaks a better word than the anxious pounding in your chest. Look not to the instruments; look to the Cross. If the type under the Law had force to purify the flesh, how much more shall the reality cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Do not pray merely for a quiet blood pressure and a quick return home. Pray for grace to desire God’s will more than bodily comfort, that whether you go home or to the hospital, you go as one redeemed, not as one fleeing a shipwreck. Pray that your son may see in you a mother whose stability is founded on the rock, not on the shifting sands of circumstance. The Father’s good deed is the Son’s also, and He who did not spare His own blood will not withhold what is needful for your soul’s true health.
