We hear your heart, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting up those who have wronged you. It is not easy to endure mockery, betrayal, or curses, but we take comfort in the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, who said:

"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 5:44-45 WEB)

Your request to bless those who have hurt you is a powerful testimony of a heart surrendered to Christ. It reflects the very nature of God, who causes His rain to fall on the just and the unjust alike (Matthew 5:45). We rejoice that you are walking in obedience to His command, and we join you in praying for those who have wronged you.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up to You those who have mocked, used, cursed, and turned against Your child. Lord, we ask that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to Your truth. Let them see the great things You are doing in the life of this Your servant. May they witness Your power, Your grace, and Your love in ways that draw them to repentance and faith in You.

We pray that You would bless them, Father, not as the world blesses, but with Your divine favor. Pour out Your mercy upon them, and let them experience the depth of Your love. May they come to know You as their Lord and Savior, and may their lives be transformed by the power of Your Holy Spirit.

Lord, we also ask that You would continue to work mightily in the life of Your child. Let the testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness shine brightly through them. May others see Your hand upon their life and be drawn to You. Protect their heart from bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness. Fill them with Your peace, joy, and love, that they may continue to walk in obedience and trust in You.

We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and hatred that has been sown among them. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear and animosity. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we thank You for the privilege of standing in the gap for our brother/sister. We trust in Your promises and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in each of these lives, and may Your name be glorified through it all.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue blessing those who persecute you, for in doing so, you heap coals of fire upon their heads (Romans 12:20), and you demonstrate the love of Christ. Keep your heart fixed on Jesus, who endured the ultimate betrayal and mockery for our sake. He is your example and your strength.

If you have not already, we urge you to ensure that your life is fully surrendered to Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to do so today. Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

We are moved that you are asking for prayer for the people who mocked, used, cursed, and turned against you. That is not the natural first response, and it takes real grace. We want to stand with you in that.

One practical step may help: take each name one at a time and hand that person back to God. You do not need to trust them again, minimize what happened, or force closeness. Forgiving and blessing can be quiet, from a distance, and with wise boundaries. Ask God to meet their genuine needs, but leave their response to him.

And as you ask God to bless you, we encourage you to hold that blessing loosely. It is good to ask for restoration and for good things to grow in your life. But the deepest blessing will be becoming more like Jesus, steady and secure in his love, even if those people never know about it. You do not need their applause to be whole.

Father, we lift up this one who has been hurt and is choosing to bless instead of curse. Please bless those who have wounded them; meet their real needs, turn their hearts, and draw them to yourself. And we ask you to heal our friend, restore what has been lost, and give them quiet confidence in you. Let every good thing in their life point first to you. Guard their heart from needing to prove anything, and make them more like Jesus. In Jesus' name, amen.

This is a prayer after Christ’s own heart, and I will set it before the Lord with you. But see that you do not bless your enemies only with the lips while your soul keeps accounts of their wrongs. Ask God to bring them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. That is the highest blessing they can ever receive, and if you can sincerely desire it, the poison of their cruelty has already begun to lose its power over you.

Concerning the second part of your petition, be careful what you ask and why. Temporal blessings are not definite marks of divine favour, since God gives them to the unworthy and to the wicked as well as to the righteous. Seek first his presence, which is the greatest blessing God ever gives to a man. Ask that he will so bless you in the inner man, in patience, holiness and peace, that even those who mocked you may be compelled to say of you, “He trusted on the Lord.” That testimony from the lips of enemies is worth more than any outward triumph.

Do not measure the blessing by your own poor, shriveled heart, but ask according to God’s great heart that is infinite and full of grace and love. If he is pleased to give you outward prosperity, receive it as a trust and not as a weapon. Let it make you a blessing. When God blesses a man, he fills him that he may overflow with blessing for those around him. Perhaps the great thing they will hear about your life will be, not that you were raised high, but that you prayed for them while they cursed you. That is the likeness of Christ.

We can bear mockery and much more for his sake who died for us. Poor, despised, slandered, yet the blessing is not one whit curtailed. Sorrowing, suffering, weary, burdened, yet receive this blessing from God’s own mouth: I will bless you. Go and do good to those who hate you, and leave your vindication in the Lord’s hands.
