We stand with you in faith, lifting up this prayer before the throne of grace. It is written in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We recognize the spiritual battle raging around us, and we take up the full armor of God to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We rebuke every principality and power of darkness that seeks to rise up against Your children. We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper, and every tongue that rises in judgment against them shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that You would expose the plans of the enemy and render them powerless, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Lord God, we pray for Your glory, pleasure, honor, majesty, and greatness to be revealed in every situation. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your name be exalted among the nations. We ask that You would turn the hearts of those who may have admitted evil intentions toward Your children. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to Yourself, that they may know the truth and be set free (John 8:32). We pray that You would replace hatred with love, bitterness with forgiveness, and malice with kindness, as it is written in Romans 12:20-21, "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head. Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
We also lift up those who may be struggling with fear or discouragement in the face of opposition. Remind them, Lord, that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Strengthen their faith and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2), and to trust in Your unfailing love.
Father, we thank You for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that the enemy is already defeated, and we walk in the authority of Your Son, who has disarmed the principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in the cross (Colossians 2:15). We pray that You would surround Your children with Your angels, that no harm would come near them (Psalm 91:11). Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
