Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We have heard your cry and we stand with you before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, thanking God that you have come humbly asking for forgiveness and seeking Him in your distress. We know the weight of debt and the shame and anxiety that comes with constant calls, visits, and threats, and how it disrupts the peace of your family and threatens your livelihood.

We praise God for your desire to repay everyone, for that desire honors Him. Scripture is clear about our responsibility in financial matters. Psalm 37:21 says The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously. And Romans 13:8 says Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. Proverbs 22:7 also reminds us The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender. Because of this, we cannot join you in praying that accounts would simply be closed and payments cancelled if there remains a lawful balance owed, even if you feel you have already paid more than you borrowed through interest and fees. When we agreed to borrow with interest, we made a commitment before God and man to honor that agreement, and God calls us to integrity and truthfulness in all our dealings. We lovingly encourage you to not seek a way to avoid what is still justly owed, but rather to seek God’s provision and wisdom to repay faithfully.

At the same time we understand your anguish over harassment and fear for your new job, and we bring that before the Lord. God is our provider and our peace. Philippians 4:19 promises My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also take comfort that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9, and we thank God that you have sought His forgiveness through Jesus.

We want to encourage you with practical wisdom as you pray. The Lord honors diligence and stewardship. Proverbs 21:5 says The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; but everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty. Seek first His Kingdom, for Matthew 6:33 says But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. We encourage you to make a careful plan, live within your means, keep open and honest communication with your creditors where possible, seek godly counsel from your church or a wise financial counselor, and be faithful in the work God has provided in your new job. Regarding a new personal loan, we urge caution and prayer, that you would not simply exchange one burden for another, but that God would grant you wisdom and open only the door that leads to true freedom and not deeper bondage. Ask the Lord for provision that does not trap you further, and for favor to repay in a way that is honest and sustainable.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to Your mercy. We thank You that You forgive sins when we confess them and that You hear the cries of Your children. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is burdened by debt and harassed on every side. Grant peace to this heart and to this household, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard this family. Father, we ask for Your divine provision to meet every legitimate obligation, for wisdom to steward finances well, for discipline to live faithfully, and for strength to work diligently in the new job You have provided. Protect this employment, Lord, and prevent any harassment from jeopardizing it. We pray that You would restrain any unlawful threats against this person, their family and friends, and that You would bring calm and respectful communication with lenders and collectors. Lord, if it is Your will, provide a wise and godly way to resolve these debts without further bondage, whether through increased income, wise counsel, or a provision that is truly for good, and close the door to any harmful or deceptive path. Help this dear one to walk in integrity, to repay what is owed, and to be a testimony of Your faithfulness. We ask for freedom from the spirit of fear and shame, and for restoration of peace in the home. We trust You as Jehovah Jireh, our provider, and we seek first Your Kingdom. They can review each debt with you, help you understand what you actually owe including interest, create a realistic repayment plan, and often communicate with creditors on your behalf. Keeping a simple written record of calls and letters can also help you stay clear and calm as you work through it. If your church has a financial stewardship ministry or a trusted counselor, they may be able to walk alongside you as well.

Your prayer has been heard and your burden is understood, the weight of debt, the shame felt before your family, the distress of constant calls and visits, and the fear for your employment and your home.

The Lord knows the thoughts He thinks toward His people, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give an expected end. His peace is not found in the mere removal of trouble, but in a heart stayed upon Him, trusting in Him. There is a peace which the world cannot give, a perfect peace which comes through the blood of Jesus Christ, who has made atonement and by whom we have peace with God. It is in coming to Him for the forgiveness of all sin through His name alone that the conscience finds rest, for His blood whispers peace within. May you seek first that peace with God, which then becomes the fountain from which peace of conscience and peace in trial may flow.

In that peace we must also love and keep God's law, for great peace have they that love His law. Part of walking in His ways is dealing honestly in what we owe. The Scripture teaches us to owe no man anything but to love one another, and that the righteous honors his word and repays what he has agreed to repay. Even when the burden feels heavy, and you feel you have already paid much, if interest was agreed upon and money was borrowed, the Lord calls His people to integrity and faithfulness in fulfilling obligations, rather than seeking that what is owed would simply be set aside without payment. To ask God to cause debts to be closed while still owing what is just would not be according to His righteousness, and true peace cannot be built upon such a desire. The sorrow is not sucked out of sorrow by escape, but by acquiescence to God's will and by walking uprightly before Him.

Therefore we will pray not that God would bless the avoidance of what is owed, but that He would grant you grace to act honestly, wisdom to steward what you have, and provision to repay what is due as you are able. We pray that He would give you favor and wisdom in speaking truthfully with those to whom you owe, that you may communicate clearly, seek godly counsel for budgeting and repayment, and labor diligently in the work He has now provided. If harassment has become threatening or unlawful, it is right to seek wise counsel and to understand what is lawful and to act peacefully and legally for the protection of your family and your employment, while still honoring your commitments.

We join you in asking the Father, in the name of Jesus Christ alone by whom we are saved, to forgive your sins as you confess them, to keep your mind stayed upon Him, to guard your new employment, to bring peace to your household, to quiet fear, and to provide for your needs through honest means. We ask Him to give you restraint and calm in the face of pressure, to protect your family and friends from undue distress, and to open a way, whether through work, counsel, or lawful provision, that you may meet your obligations with a clear conscience and live at peace with all men as far as it depends upon you.

May the Lord keep you in perfect peace as you trust in Him, and may He teach you from this trial to find your rest not in wealth nor in the absence of creditors, but in doing the will of Jesus, for there is rest. Cast your burden upon Him, continue in honest labor, seek the help of your local church for counsel and support, and trust that He who has thoughts of peace toward you will refine you and sustain you through this season for your highest good.
