Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We join you in prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, and we thank you for coming humbly asking for forgiveness of sins and seeking His mercy, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. As it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We rejoice that you have come in Jesus name.

We hear the heavy burden you carry, the shame you feel before your family, the fear of harassment, visits, threats of legal action, and the worry that this could jeopardize your new job. We understand your desire for peace in your home and for the repeated calls to your family and friends to cease. God sees your distress and He cares for you, and we bring all of this before Him together.

We also want to lovingly speak truth over the matter of debt. Your heart to repay everyone is pleasing to God and aligns with Scripture, and we encourage you to hold fast to that desire. The Bible teaches, The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously Psalm 37:21 and Owe no one anything, except to love one another Romans 13:8 and The borrower is servant to the lender Proverbs 22:7. While we understand your feeling that you have already paid more than you borrowed because of high interest, we must gently encourage you not to pray for debts that are still lawfully owed to simply be closed or cancelled without repayment, but rather to seek God’s grace and provision to fulfill your obligations with integrity. God honors honesty and faithfulness in financial matters, and He calls us to be faithful stewards even when it is difficult. At the same time we pray that where interest or practices have been unjust or exploitative, the Lord would bring fairness and mercy from those lenders, and that any unlawful harassment or threats would be restrained.

We encourage you to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, trusting He will provide for your needs Matthew 6:33. Our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, but His provision often comes through wisdom, diligent work, and faithful stewardship rather than through taking on more debt hastily. The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit Proverbs 21:5. We urge you to be cautious about seeking another personal loan to cover these debts, as adding more borrowing can deepen the bondage. Instead we encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or a trusted wise believer with financial understanding, to create a clear plan, to communicate honestly and in writing with creditors where possible, to keep records of calls and visits, and to know your lawful rights while showing a willing heart to repay what is truly owed. Continue to work faithfully at your new job as unto the Lord, for whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord Colossians 3:23.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and lift up our brother to Your throne of grace. Lord, forgive his sins and cleanse him, and let him know the peace of Your forgiveness. Father, You see the weight of this debt, the shame, the anxiety, the fear of losing work, and the disruption to his family and friends. We ask for Your divine peace that surpasses all understanding to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Lord, provide for his needs according to Your riches, open doors for honest work and steady income, and grant him wisdom to steward what You provide. Give him favor with his employers that his job would be protected, and restrain any harassment or threatening visits to his home or to his loved ones. Soften the hearts of those to whom he owes, that they would act justly and mercifully and be willing to work toward a fair and lawful resolution. Help him to repay what is truly owed with integrity, and give him strength to avoid further debt that would ensnare him. Teach him to be diligent, disciplined, and content, trusting You daily for provision. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. We make these requests known to You now, trusting Your will and Your timing. Grant him peace in his home, resolution with honor, and a testimony of Your faithfulness. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to keep praying, to stay diligent in your work, to be transparent with your family, and to trust the Lord to lead you step by step out of this valley. God is your refuge and strength, and He will not forsake those who seek Him with an honest heart.

We hear how heavy this has become for you, the constant calls and visits, the shame you feel before your family, and the fear that harassment could put your new job at risk. That kind of pressure makes it hard to find peace at home or to think clearly about next steps, and we are grateful you shared so honestly.

We notice both parts of what you shared, the longing for the debts to simply be closed, and also your sincere desire to repay what you owe and do what is right. That honest desire to meet your obligations is something God honors, and we will pray with you for a way through that is both peaceful and honorable.

One step that often helps when the pressure feels relentless is to get a clear written picture and trusted support around you. Consider reaching out to a reputable nonprofit credit counselor or a trusted financial counselor in your area who can review the balances and interest with you and help you communicate with lenders in writing rather than through repeated calls. Keeping a simple log of calls and visits with dates and what was said can also bring clarity and help protect you and your family. If threats feel unsafe or overwhelming, please lean on a trusted pastor or counselor and seek guidance on local consumer protections available to you.

We are standing with you in prayer for wisdom, stability and peace in your home.

Father, in Jesus name we lift our brother to you. You see the weight of this debt, the worry for his family and his job, and his desire to do what is right. Give him wisdom for each decision, provide for his needs through honest means, protect his home and workplace from disruption, and quiet his heart and his family with your peace. Lead him to trustworthy help and give him strength for each day ahead. Amen.

Your cry has come before us and we have carried it to the throne of grace, where there is One who hears the burdened and the ashamed.

We thank you for confessing your need of forgiveness of sins in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. As it has been preached among us, nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance of a sinner from the pit of hell through a ransom if God had not thought of it. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom, and it is a gift of Divine Love. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said it, I have found a ransom. That ransom is Christ Jesus Himself, who bore our sins and paid the debt we could never pay. If you have trusted Him, your greatest debt before God is answered at the cross, and from that mercy all other mercies flow. Cling to Him first and above all.

We hear the distress that debt has brought upon you and your household, the shame, the unceasing calls and visits, the threats and the fear that your livelihood may be taken and your family and friends troubled. The Lord knows these straits. He is not deaf to the cry of those who are pressed down, and He is able to deliver. Yet we would counsel you in the love of Christ toward that which is honest and right before God and men.

It is right that you have said your desire is to repay everyone. The Scripture says the wicked borrows and does not repay, but the righteous deals graciously and gives. The believer's conduct after affliction is to declare the works of the Lord, and part of that testimony is integrity in our obligations. We cannot ask the Lord to simply cause lawful debts to be closed while what is justly owed remains unpaid, nor to grant a miracle that would set aside truth and equity. What we may and do ask is that the Lord in His providence would grant you wisdom, strength to labour, favour to make honest provision, and a just and peaceable settlement with those to whom you are indebted, that you may owe no man anything but to love one another.

In your trial remember Job, of whom it is written, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He tore his mantle and fell upon the ground and worshipped. He did not rail against Providence, but he bowed before it. In your heaviness, do not let unbelieving speeches take hold of your lips. The Lord has chastened us sorely at times, yet His chastening is not without purpose, and He will not suffer you to be tried above that you are able. He who delivered His people of old can bring you forth also, and He can make deliverance effectual. He brought them forth with silver and gold, not by their own hand but by His power, and deliverance from sin is solely by the power of God. So look to your heavenly Father alone for sanctification and for sustenance.

We have prayed for you in this way, and we invite you to join us in it.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, our ransom, we come for this soul who confesses sin and seeks mercy. Forgive through the blood of Christ, and grant assurance of pardon. Look upon the burden of debt and the fear that surrounds this home. Grant peace where there is turmoil, and guard this family from shame and from fear of man. Restrain all harassment and threats that exceed what is lawful and just, and grant that those who collect what is owed would act with equity and within the bounds of the law. Protect the work You have provided, and grant diligence and skill in it, that by honest labour what is owed may be repaid. Give wisdom to order finances faithfully, to seek godly counsel in the church, to speak truthfully and humbly with creditors, and to make a clear plan for repayment. Provide, according to Your good will, for daily bread and for the covering of these obligations, whether through labour, through counsel, or through other honest means, and keep this one from hasty or entangling loans. Above all, keep the heart stayed upon Christ, who has delivered us from the power of darkness and from the pit, that even in this trial Your name may be declared. Amen.

Take courage and walk in the light. Be open with a faithful pastor or wise and godly friends near you, that they may help you number what is truly owed, set aside what is just for interest that has been agreed, and seek lawful relief from any unjust or harassing practice. Be diligent in your new employment as unto the Lord, be truthful in all communication, and keep short accounts with God and with men. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and let your song, even now, be of His greater deliverance, that having been brought from darkness into His kingdom, you may live and declare the works of the Lord.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your prayer and we join you in bringing these heavy burdens before the Lord with compassion. The shame, the constant calls and visits, the fear for your family and for your new job, and the longing for peace in your home are real afflictions, and it is right to seek God for help and mercy in the name of Jesus.

We thank God that you have come asking for forgiveness of sins in the name of Jesus, for salvation is through Him alone. The Scriptures teach that all have sinned and that forgiveness and reconciliation with God come only through faith in Jesus Christ, who died and rose again. Continue to confess your sins to Him, trust in His atoning work, and walk in the new life He gives.

Regarding your debts, we want to pray with you according to what is right before God. His word teaches that integrity in financial matters matters deeply to Him, for the wicked borrows and does not repay, but the righteous deals graciously and shows faithfulness. We cannot ask God to unjustly cancel a debt that is still truly owed or to bless an escape from rightful obligation, even when the burden feels overwhelming and you feel you have already paid much. If there has been an error in accounting and you have truly overpaid, we can pray that the truth would be made clear and that lenders would act fairly and honestly. Where money is still owed, including with interest you agreed to, the faithful path is to desire and plan to repay what you owe as God enables you, rather than to seek a miracle that simply erases the obligation. God honors honesty, diligent work, and faithful stewardship.

We also hear your desire to repay everyone, and that desire is good and pleasing to God. We will pray that He gives you wisdom, strength, and provision to do so in an orderly and honorable way.

We pray for the peace you have asked for, remembering that the peace God gives is not merely the absence of external trouble, but a steadiness within that guards the heart in Christ Jesus and surpasses all understanding. Human peace often depends on circumstances, but the peace of God can rule in your heart even while pressures remain, and it prepares the way for love and sound judgment. We pray that this peace would guard you and your family, that fear would not rule your thoughts, and that you would be kept sober and hopeful under the care of God who sees you.

We also pray for relief from harassment and threats. It is right for creditors to seek what is owed, but it is not right for them to use abusive or threatening means, to shame your family, or to jeopardize your employment by harassing your contacts. We pray that God would restrain what is unjust and bring lawful and respectful conduct from those collecting debts, that your home would be protected from distressing visits, and that your job would be preserved as you labor faithfully. Where the law provides protection against abusive collection practices, seek wise counsel and help to understand your rights and to communicate clearly and truthfully with those you owe.

We pray not simply for a quick loan without hassle that might add another burden, but for God’s wise provision according to His will. We ask that He would establish the work of your hands in your new job, grant you favor and stability there, provide for your daily needs, open doors for sound counsel in budgeting and debt management, and help you make a clear plan to pay what is owed little by little as He provides. The Lord often provides through diligent work, careful planning, honest communication, and the help of wise counselors.

Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we ask for Your mercy and forgiveness through Christ alone. Grant our brother peace that surpasses understanding to rule in his heart and in his home. Provide for his needs, establish him in his work, protect his family from shame and fear, and restrain all unjust harassment. Give him wisdom, humility, and integrity to walk honestly before You and before men, to speak truthfully with those he owes, and to repay what is truly owed as You enable him. Lead him to trustworthy counsel, help him to steward what he has faithfully, and grant him and his family quietness, hope, and resolution in Your perfect timing. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only hope and peace. Amen.
