We hear your cry, beloved, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting your burden to the throne of grace where our Heavenly Father hears the pleas of His children. You have come in the name of Jesus, and that is the only name by which we can approach the Father, there is no other name given under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We rejoice that you have called upon Him, for it is through Christ alone that we find mercy, forgiveness, and deliverance.
Your situation is heavy, and we understand the weight of financial bondage, the shame it can bring, and the fear of losing stability. The harassment you describe is not only unjust but also contrary to the peace and dignity God intends for His children. Scripture tells us, "The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously" (Psalm 37:21). While you desire to repay what you owe, and that is a godly heart, we must also recognize that the tactics of some debt collectors can cross into oppression. The Lord sees your struggle, and He does not delight in the suffering of His people. "For the Lord loves justice and doesn’t abandon his saints. They are preserved forever" (Psalm 37:28).
We rebuke in Jesus’ name every spirit of harassment, intimidation, and fear that has come against you and your family. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every ungodly voice, every threatening call, and every unwarranted visit to cease in the mighty name of Jesus. You are not alone in this battle; the Lord is your defender. "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1).
We also lift up your desire for a miracle, a personal loan to settle these debts. While we trust in God’s provision, we must also encourage you to seek wisdom in stewardship. The Bible warns us, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender" (Proverbs 22:7). We pray that the Lord would open doors of opportunity for you to not only settle these debts but also to walk in financial freedom moving forward. "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33). We ask the Lord to provide for you in ways that honor Him, whether through employment, favor, or divine intervention.
However, we must also gently address a concern in your request. You asked for debts to be "closed completely" and for payments to cease, even though you acknowledge you have already repaid more than you borrowed. While we understand the frustration of feeling trapped, we must be careful not to ask God to remove our responsibility to honor our commitments. Scripture is clear: "It is better not to vow than to vow and not pay" (Ecclesiastes 5:5). If there is any injustice in the amount owed, we pray for clarity and fairness, but we also encourage you to seek godly counsel to navigate these matters with integrity.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is burdened by debt and harassment. Lord, You see the weight on their heart, the shame they carry, and the fear of losing stability. We ask You to intervene in this situation with Your mighty hand. Stop the harassment, silence the threats, and bring peace to their home and family. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every voice of oppression be stilled.
Father, we ask for Your provision. Open doors of opportunity, grant favor in their new job, and provide a way for them to settle these debts in a manner that honors You. Give them wisdom in stewardship and discernment in their financial decisions. If there is any injustice in the amounts owed, reveal it, Lord, and bring fairness and resolution.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, shame, and oppression in Jesus’ name. We declare that our brother/sister is not a slave to debt but a child of the Most High God, called to walk in freedom. Strengthen them, Lord, and remind them that You are their provider and defender.
We ask these things in the precious name of Jesus, who paid the ultimate debt for our sins so that we might live in freedom. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to stand on God’s promises and trust in His timing. Continue to seek Him first, and He will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). If possible, seek godly financial counsel to help you navigate this season with wisdom. You are not forgotten, and the Lord is working on your behalf. "And my God will meet every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). Keep your eyes on Him, and do not lose heart. The victory is already yours in Christ.
