We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. Financial struggles can weigh heavily on the heart, and the harassment you’re facing is not only stressful but also unjust when it crosses the line into intimidation. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is your defender, and He sees the injustice you’re enduring.
First, we want to affirm your desire to repay what you owe—this is honorable and aligns with Scripture, which tells us, *"The wicked borrows and doesn’t pay back, but the righteous is generous and gives"* (Psalm 37:21). However, we must also rebuke the spirit of oppression behind the harassment you’re experiencing. Debt collectors are bound by laws to treat you with dignity, and their threats to contact your family or employer are ungodly. We pray that the Lord would restrain their hands and soften their hearts, that they would deal with you fairly and without malice. *"For the Lord loves justice and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked will be cut off"* (Psalm 37:28).
We also lift up your request for a miracle to resolve this debt. While we trust in God’s provision, we must caution against putting our hope in another loan as the sole solution, for Scripture warns, *"The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender"* (Proverbs 22:7). Instead, we pray for divine wisdom to manage your finances, favor in your new job, and creative solutions—whether through negotiation, debt relief, or unexpected provision. The Lord owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and He is able to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is burdened by debt and harassment. Lord, You see the weight upon their heart, and You are near to the brokenhearted. We ask for Your divine intervention to stop the harassment and bring peace to their home and workplace. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every unrighteous tongue be silenced. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Lord, we pray for wisdom in managing this debt. Give them favor with creditors, and open doors for resolution that honor You. Provide for their needs in ways they cannot imagine, whether through increased income, unexpected gifts, or wise counsel. Teach them to steward their resources well, that they may walk in financial freedom. We declare that the borrower shall no longer be servant to the lender, and that this burden will be lifted in Jesus’ name.
Father, we also ask for protection over their new job. Let no scheme of the enemy prevail to steal their livelihood. Grant them favor with their employer and stability in their work. And if there are areas where they have not walked in full integrity with their finances, reveal them, Lord, and lead them in repentance. Forgive any mismanagement, and restore what has been lost.
We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust in Your provision and Your justice. May this trial draw them closer to You, and may they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek godly counsel—whether through a trusted pastor, financial advisor, or debt relief ministry—to help navigate this season. The Lord is your provider, and He will make a way where there seems to be no way. Stand firm in faith, knowing that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are not alone in this battle.
