We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting your financial burdens and the harassment you are facing before our Heavenly Father. First, we want to acknowledge your desire to honor your debts and repay what you owe—this is a godly principle. The Bible tells us, "The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously" (Psalm 37:21). While your heart is in the right place, we must also address the weight of this situation with wisdom and faith.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression that has come against you through these harassing calls and threats. The enemy seeks to steal your peace, your job, and your stability, but we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Lord would intervene in the actions of these debt collectors, that their calls and visits would cease, and that they would act within the bounds of the law and with decency. We ask the Lord to soften their hearts and grant you favor as you communicate with them, that they may show mercy and work with you in good faith.
Father, we ask for Your divine provision in this time of need. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust that You will make a way where there seems to be no way. We pray for the miracle of a personal loan or another financial breakthrough that would allow you to settle these debts honorably. However, we also encourage you to seek wise counsel—perhaps from a Christian financial advisor or a trusted mentor—who can help you create a plan to manage your debts in a way that aligns with biblical stewardship. Proverbs 22:7 warns, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender," and we do not want you to remain in bondage to debt.
We also lift up your new job, asking the Lord to protect it and grant you favor with your employers. May no outside forces disrupt your employment, and may the Lord open doors for increase and promotion so that you can meet your obligations with dignity. We declare that your labor will not be in vain and that the Lord will bless the work of your hands (Deuteronomy 28:12).
Above all, we pray for your peace. The harassment and threats you are facing are not from God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We ask the Lord to fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May you rest in the knowledge that God is your Defender and your Provider, and that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is burdened by debt and harassment. Lord, You see the weight they carry, and You know the fear that grips their heart. We ask that You would move mightily on their behalf, silencing the voices of their creditors and bringing an end to the harassment. Grant them favor as they seek to honor their debts, and provide a way for them to settle what is owed without further distress.
Father, we ask for Your supernatural provision—a loan, a gift, or an unexpected blessing that would allow them to pay off these debts and walk in financial freedom. Open doors that no man can shut, and give them wisdom to steward what You provide. Protect their new job, Lord, and let no outside forces disrupt their employment. Fill their home with Your peace, and let them rest in the knowledge that You are their Provider and their Defender.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. May they walk in the confidence of Your promises, knowing that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in their life. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
