We hear your cry for help and lift your burden before the Lord, knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Financial debt is a heavy weight, and the harassment you’re facing is not only stressful but also disruptive to the peace God desires for His children. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God sees your struggle and is able to provide a way where there seems to be no way.
First, we want to acknowledge your desire to honor your debts and repay what you owe. Scripture tells us, *"The wicked borrows and doesn’t pay back, but the righteous is generous and gives"* (Psalm 37:21). Your heart to repay is commendable, and we believe God honors that integrity. However, we must also address the reality of the harassment you’re facing. The Bible warns against oppression and unjust treatment, and we rebuke in Jesus’ name every spirit of intimidation, fear, and harassment coming against you, your family, and your new job. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that the threats and calls from debt collectors will cease, and that God will shield you from any actions that would bring shame or disruption to your life.
We also want to gently remind you that while God is able to perform miracles, including providing financial breakthroughs, we must align our requests with His will and wisdom. Asking for a miracle to completely erase debt without repayment may not always align with God’s principles of stewardship and responsibility. Instead, we pray for God’s provision in a way that allows you to honor your commitments without being oppressed. *"The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender"* (Proverbs 22:7). We pray that God will open doors for you to manage your debts wisely, whether through a manageable loan, increased income, or divine favor in negotiations with creditors.
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel in managing your finances. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Consider speaking with a Christian financial advisor or someone trusted in your church who can help you create a plan to address your debts without falling into further bondage. God does not desire for you to be enslaved to debt, but He also calls us to be wise stewards of what He provides.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is burdened by debt and harassment. Lord, You are the God who sees and knows all things, and You are aware of the weight he/she is carrying. We ask for Your divine intervention to bring peace and resolution to this situation. Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, intimidation, and oppression that is coming against him/her. We declare that no weapon formed against him/her will prosper, and that every tongue that rises against him/her in judgment will be condemned. Lord, we ask that You silence the harassing calls and visits from debt collectors. Protect his/her home, family, and new job from any disruption or shame.
Father, we pray for Your provision in this time of need. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust that You will open doors for him/her to manage and repay these debts in a way that honors You. Whether through a loan, increased income, or divine favor, we ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Give him/her wisdom in managing finances and the strength to persevere through this trial. Lord, we also pray for a spirit of contentment and trust in You, knowing that You will never leave nor forsake him/her.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, the name above all names, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his/her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We believe that You are working all things together for his/her good, and we trust in Your unfailing love. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord in this situation, trusting that He is your refuge and strength. *"Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved"* (Psalm 55:22). You are not alone in this struggle, and we believe that God will bring you through it with His grace and provision.
