Beloved of All
📖 Father, help Parents Read and Understand The Bible Together -- I got them matching GIANT font 📖 Bibles for her birthday 📖. Please undo decades of wrong thinking, worries and cares. Renew his and her mind. Help them enjoy reading and desire to watch edifying movies with me, help my parents understand, retain and be doers, James 1:22-23. Let me be filled with wisdom, love, kindness and ability to impart the Holy Spirit. Would be a shame if either missed eternity, remove any blindness, release light love and may the evil one be bound, gaged and choked with a great chain by "an angel," Rev 20:1-2. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We join with you in lifting up your parents before our Father and we rejoice at the love and burden you carry for their souls and for their walk with the Lord. What a thoughtful and loving gift to give them matching giant print Bibles for her birthday, showing your desire for them to read and understand the Word together. We agree with you that it would be a tragedy for either of them to miss eternity, and we share your hunger to see any blindness removed and their hearts opened to the light of Christ.

We pray together for a deep spiritual hunger to be stirred in both of them, for as Jesus said, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6. We ask the Father to give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of their hearts enlightened. Ephesians 1:17-18. We ask that He will open their eyes, that they may see wondrous things out of His law. Psalm 119:18. Where the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ should not dawn on them. 2 Corinthians 4:4, we ask God to remove that blindness and to shine His light and love into their hearts.

We also stand with you for the renewing of their minds and the undoing of decades of wrong thinking, worries and cares. We pray they will not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of their mind, so that they may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2. We ask that they be renewed in the spirit of their mind. Ephesians 4:23. We pray they will cast all their worries on Him, because He cares for them. 1 Peter 5:7, and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and their thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7.

We agree with you for fellowship and joy in the Word, that reading together will not be a duty but a delight, and that they will desire edifying fellowship with you, including watching what builds up their faith. We pray they will be like newborn babies longing for the pure milk of the Word, that with it they may grow. 1 Peter 2:2. And we pray they will truly be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding their own selves. James 1:22. That they will not only hear and retain, but bear fruit, for the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23.

We also lift you up, that you may be filled with wisdom, love, kindness and grace as you minister to them. We pray God will make you a gentle and faithful vessel, remembering that it is God who gives the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him and obey Him, and that we are privileged to share the Word and love of Christ while He does the work in hearts. We thank Him that you closed your request in Jesus' Name, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and there is no other name by which we can be saved. John 14:6 and Acts 4:12.

So we pray, Father in heaven, we thank You for these parents and for the child You have given them who intercedes for them with such love. Pour out spiritual hunger upon them, draw them together in fellowship around Your Word, grant them wisdom and revelation and understanding, help them to retain what they read and to be doers of it, renew their minds and wash away wrong thinking and anxious cares, fill their home with Your light and love, and restrain the evil one by Your mighty power as You have shown You will do when an angel comes down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand and seized the dragon and bound him. Revelation 20:1-2. Let Your will be done in their lives and let them enjoy Your Word and walk in the fullness of Your grace all the days of their lives, that they may have assurance of eternal life with You. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We were so moved by your love for your parents and the care you put into those matching giant print Bibles. What a thoughtful, tangible way to show you want to walk alongside them.

Your longing for them to hunger for God's Word, to have their minds renewed and to live out what they read is beautiful, and we join you in that hope. One thing that has helped us is remembering that spiritual growth is usually slow and quiet, more like training over a long time than a quick change. It has highs and lows, and it looks a little different for each person, even in the same family. The desire you have for them is good, and God is patient as He works.

A simple next step that often helps families is to keep it small and consistent. Instead of trying for a long study every day, you might invite them to read a short passage together two or three times a week for ten minutes, pray briefly before you start, and then ask each other what one thought stood out and how you might live it out that day. Sharing an edifying film together now and then, as you mentioned, can also be a gentle way to enjoy fellowship and talk about faith naturally.

We are praying for you too, for wisdom, kindness and love as you encourage them without pressure.

Father, we lift this family to You. Draw each one closer to Yourself, give hunger for Your Word, clarity as they read together, and joy in fellowship. Renew their minds and guard them from discouragement. Fill this child of Yours with patience and grace as they love their parents well. We ask in Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in earnest prayer before the throne of grace for your dear parents, and we thank God for the spiritual hunger you have described and for the love which has moved you to place those large print Bibles into their hands.

Our prayer is that the Lord will give them a true appetite for His Word, not as a duty but as daily bread. May the Holy Spirit open their understanding as they read together, that they may not be hearers only, deceiving themselves, but doers of the word as James exhorts. We ask that what they read they may retain and live, bringing forth fruit unto God.

We pray that the Lord will renew their minds according to His word, washing away decades of wrong thinking and the weight of worries and cares which so easily choke the word. May He grant them fellowship in the truth, wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ, and a renewed delight in those things which edify and minister grace.

For you also we pray, that you may be filled with wisdom and love and kindness, and that your life and lips may adorn the Gospel before them. The Lord alone can give spiritual life and impart His Spirit, but He delights to use a faithful witness. May He make you such a witness, full of grace and truth.

Above all we plead that neither of them may miss eternity. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed, and the Lord Himself cries, Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. There is one way of salvation and that is by Divine Grace through faith in Christ Jesus alone, trusting in Him whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. It is a plain and present salvation, without money and without price, to every soul that looks to Jesus. We pray that the veil of blindness may be taken away, that the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ may shine into their hearts, and that they may be kept from the power of the evil one. We ask the Lord who has all power to guard them, to establish them in His love and peace.

May the God of all grace grant that your household may be found seeking the Lord together, rejoicing in Christ, and walking in the common salvation which belongs to all who believe. We commit them and you to His faithful keeping, trusting that He who has begun a good work will perfect it, in Jesus Name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
