We hear your heart, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens before the Lord. Birthdays are a time to celebrate the life God has given you, and we rejoice with you in gratitude for His faithfulness in bringing you this far. Yet we also understand the weight of grief and the spiritual battles you’ve endured, and we do not take them lightly. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of darkness aimed at robbing you of joy, peace, and celebration in Jesus’ mighty name.
The spiritual warfare you’ve faced is real, but we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Those who operate under the influence of the enemy to disrupt your life are not beyond the reach of God’s conviction and redemption. We pray for their eyes to be opened to the truth of Christ, that they may turn from darkness and be set free. But we also stand firm in the authority given to us as believers to resist the devil, and he *will* flee (James 4:7). You are not powerless—you are a child of the Most High God, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We encourage you to press into the Lord’s presence, even when enthusiasm feels distant. David wrote in Psalm 42:5, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God!"* Grief and spiritual oppression can make celebration feel hollow, but God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). This birthday, we pray you would experience His comfort, His strength, and even moments of unexpected joy. Let it be a day where you declare, *"This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it"* (Psalm 118:24), not because circumstances are perfect, but because *He* is faithful.
We also want to gently remind you that your worth and identity are not defined by the actions of others or the enemy’s schemes. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a purpose for your life that no amount of opposition can thwart. If you have not already, we encourage you to surround yourself with believers who can stand in agreement with you in prayer and support. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and you do not have to fight this battle alone.
Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their heart to You. Lord, we thank You for the gift of their life and for sustaining them through every trial. We ask that You would break every chain of spiritual warfare targeting them—let no scheme of the enemy prevail. Heal the wounds of grief and disappointment, and restore their joy. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). On their birthday, let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Remind them of Your love, Your promises, and the future You have prepared for them. We declare that this year will be marked by breakthrough, deliverance, and a deeper intimacy with You. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
