Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and we are carrying it before the Lord with you. The pressure you describe, the attacks upon your mind, the overwhelming worry over SSI, housing and food stamps, and the daily labor of being a single father trying to provide, is a heavy burden and God sees it fully.
Scripture teaches us to call God Father, and in that one name we remember all He has given through Christ, forgiveness, adoption, righteousness and the supply of His Spirit. He is our Father in heaven, not distant or shut away, but the One who lifts our hearts from earthly fear to His care above, where our true security rests. Jesus showed how earnestly He desires our good, comparing His desire to save us to our own hunger for food. He knows your need for daily bread, for shelter and for stability, and He invites you to bring each need to Him.
We are praying for you now, that God will calm your mind and guard your heart with His peace that passes all understanding, that He will steady you in this attack and bring clarity and rest, that He will provide for your practical needs and open the right doors for housing, for your benefits and for food for your household, and that He will strengthen you day by day as you care for your children. We pray He will surround you with faithful people in your church and community who can walk with you, and that you will have wisdom to stay close to the help you need, including continued medical care and counsel, while trusting Christ who bore our sorrows.
Do not carry this alone. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. Seek Him first each morning in prayer, bring each need plainly to your Father, and let His Word anchor you when thoughts feel overwhelming. When the attacks grow heavy, reach out quickly to a trusted pastor, family member, doctor or counselor, and to your church family for support.
May the Lord show you His nearness, provide what you need for today, and give you strength for tomorrow. We continue to pray for you and your family.
