We have heard your cry and we are lifting you up together before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name. We see the heavy burden you are carrying as a single father trying to provide while also battling bipolar attacks and the overwhelming anxiety over your SSI, housing, and food stamps, and our hearts go out to you. You are not alone and you are not forgotten. God sees your struggle and your faithfulness as a father, and He cares deeply for you and your children.
The Word tells us that God is a Father of the fatherless and a defender of widows and those who are vulnerable, Psalm 68:5, and that He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1. When our minds feel overwhelmed and our thoughts race, He offers a peace that goes beyond our understanding. For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7, and we are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We also cling to His promise, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.
We want to gently share something important with you. We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want you to know that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and find true peace and salvation. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. He invites all who are weary, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28.
We also encourage you to continue to seek help for your bipolar condition through trusted medical care and wise counsel, as well as through the support of a local Bible believing church family who can walk with you practically and spiritually. God often provides His help through His people.
We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up this dear single father to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the attacks on his mind and the weight of fear he feels over his disability, his housing, and his provision for food. We ask You to rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety and to guard his heart and mind with Your perfect peace. Touch his mind and body and bring stability, rest, and clarity, and lead him to the right help and support he needs. Provide for all his needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19, and make a way for his SSI, his housing, and his food stamps to be secure. Strengthen him as a father, give him wisdom and endurance, and remind him daily that You are with him and will never leave him nor forsake him. Draw him closer to Jesus and let him know the hope and salvation found only in Him. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to keep crying out to the Lord, to cast all your worries on Him because He cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and to remember that even when you feel overwhelmed, when my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I, Psalm 61:2. We are continuing to pray for your peace, your health, and for God’s faithful provision over you and your family.
