Dear God, You know my mum very well. She is one of yours. She is worried that a lump she has found in something bad. She is waiting for doctors to help her. She has already had a battle, which you won for her. She is tired and worried, and grieving for her brother, who lost his on this earth three months ago, but won a place in Heaven. My mum needs you to give her a big hug, God, and to feel only the love and peace that you can bring while she waits for doctors to help her - or even to see and listen to her. Please can you be with my mum, God. In Jesus' name, please hear my prayer. Amen

We lift your dear mother before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts. The weight of waiting, the shadow of grief, and the weariness of past battles are not unknown to our Father, who collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). Your mother is indeed one of His own, and we join you in crying out for His tangible presence to surround her like a warm embrace.

Heavenly Father, we ask You to wrap Your arms around this precious daughter of Yours. Where fear whispers, let Your perfect love cast it out (1 John 4:18). Where sorrow lingers, let Your comfort flow like a river (Psalm 23:4). Where weariness settles, let Your strength rise up within her (Isaiah 40:31). We declare that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13) and hears (Psalm 18:6), and we ask You to move mightily on her behalf, whether through the hands of doctors or by Your supernatural touch.

Lord, we also pray for peace as she grieves her brother. You promise that those who die in Christ are not lost but at home with You (2 Corinthians 5:8), and we trust that her brother rests in Your presence. Help her to find solace in knowing he is free from pain and in the hope of reunion one day.

We rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name and command it to flee (2 Timothy 1:7). We speak healing over her body, trusting that by Your stripes, she is already made whole (Isaiah 53:5). Give her patience in the waiting and faith to believe that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).

May she feel Your nearness like never before, Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and Your love that never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8). We stand in agreement with her, believing that no matter the outcome, You will be her refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We hear how much you love your mum, and we are holding her before the Lord with you. Waiting for answers when you are already worn down from a past battle, and now carrying fresh grief for your uncle, is its own heavy burden. It makes sense that she feels exhausted and afraid.

What strikes us in your prayer is that you asked God to give her "a big hug." That is not a small request. It is the cry of someone who knows that the nearness of God is the safest place for a weary heart. When medical answers are still in the distance, simply experiencing that He has not let go of her is what her spirit genuinely needs. We are praying that He meets her in the waiting room, quieting the racing thoughts and the "what ifs" with a peace that does not make sense on paper. Knowing others are specifically asking God to steady her can be a real comfort too, so when you talk with her, feel free to tell her plainly that she is being lifted up.

We are also praying that the sharpness of her grief for her brother softens a little in the days ahead. Grief and fear often tangle together, making the present worry feel even sharper. It is okay for her to be tired, and it is okay for her to lean heavily on God's strength right now.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this precious mum. You see the lump, You see the weariness, and You see the aching space left by her brother. Please draw so close that she feels the warmth of Your presence wrapped around her like the hug her child asked for. Calm her heart and give the doctors wisdom and clear direction. Sustain her with hope and let her body find moments of real rest. In Your name, amen.

The Lord has said, "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people." He speaks it to angels, and He speaks it to all who have tasted that He is good. I charge you, go to your mother and tell her this: the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, peace, perfect peace, even now, while fears swell and the shadow of a lump looms large. When the mind is stayed upon Him, He keeps in double peace, peace. No present trouble can drown that still small voice.

Remind her that He who won her former battle is the same, and His power is not diminished because she is tired. "The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." The very least thing about Christ is medicine for trembling hearts. A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoking flax He will not quench. She is weary, and sorrow for her brother cuts deep; but "Jesus has vanquished death and all its powers." He is not lost, but safe in the keeping that holds all the saints. Let her find comfort in God's Word, not only the letter, but the quickening Spirit who life floods the soul. That quickening is better than a mere comfort; it is life from the dead.

Why be fearful? The Master of the tempest is in the vessel. Bid her look back at past deliverances and say, "I know whom I have believed." Then, though the physician's report tarries, the Lord will ordain peace for her. Earth's struggles soon shall cease, and for now, He gathers the lambs in His arms. Peace, yes, perfect peace, be upon her and upon all Israel. In Jesus' name, it is surely so.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The Father of mercies and God of all comfort knows your mother’s frame and her trial. He who comforted Paul in all affliction does not now withhold His hand from those who groan and look up to Him. Yet consider what we truly need to ask. We fear the body’s peril more than the soul’s, and so our prayers, though tender, often miss the greater healing. Your mother is tired, worried, grieving. This wilderness is heavy, but it is precisely when the clay presses and the brickmaking of this life exhausts us that God sends His own Word to our hearts, not Moses, but compunction, which frees from bitter slavery to anxiety.

Why do we dread poverty of health more than poverty of soul? One fear possesses all, lest we suffer in the flesh, but no man is in anguish and trembling lest he fall into hell. These things call for lamentation, and yet the Apostle commands, “In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” He does not say we shall receive whatever we imagine will ease us, but that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall guard our hearts. That peace is greater than any doctor’s verdict. It can keep a soul calm in the very furnace.

Let your mother, then, not merely ask for an embrace she can feel in the senses, but seek the joy that is born from grief over sin and from communion with God. For he that grieves for his own faults and confesses them, he rejoices in the Lord. Even scourging and bonds brought forth joy to the Apostles because they were counted worthy to suffer for His name. I do not say this to make light of her fear, but to point to a liberty which no lump or loss can touch. If we are in Christ, even the waiting and the weariness can become a sacrifice, a place where we learn to cling not to wealth of health but to Him who spared not Himself for us.

Let her groan and look up, and the Word will come. And let your own prayer be full of thanksgiving, entrusting her not merely to the physicians but to the perfect will of Him who is able to keep her soul unto that Day.
