Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your care for your best friend is a beautiful reflection of true friendship, and it is good that you bring her need before the Lord in prayer. A genuine friend is a great gift, more to be desired than many other things in this life, and one of the marks of that love is that we pray for our friend as we would for ourselves, remembering her needs as our own and asking God to show her His kindness.
We join you in praying that God, who knows our needs and is our true provider, will supply what your friend needs in this time of waiting. We ask that if it is His will, her unemployment payment would come this week, and that He would give her peace while she waits, provision for her daily needs, and guidance for the days ahead. May she know that even when human help is uncertain, God remains favorable and near to those who trust Him, and that when He is our friend we need not fear.
We also pray that this trial would draw both of you closer to Christ, who gave Himself for us and who alone is our salvation, and that your friendship would continue to be a source of encouragement, strength, and grace to one another. May the Lord keep you both in His care and grant you trust in His perfect provision.
In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
