my best friend was diagnosed with cancer at ### years old. she did radiotherapy but the cancer came back. she’s currently doing chemotherapy but it’s not working. please pray that she is healed in Jesus name

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt request for your dear friend facing such a difficult battle with cancer. In times like these, we turn to the Lord, our Healer, who sees every tear and hears every cry. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Even when medical treatments seem insufficient, we trust in God’s power to restore, heal, and sustain.
We also hold fast to the truth that our God is sovereign, and His ways are higher than ours. Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Though we may not understand why your friend is enduring this trial, we know that God works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Even in suffering, He is at work, drawing hearts closer to Himself.
We rebuke the spirit of sickness and death in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that by His stripes, your friend is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We stand on the promise of James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We pray that your friend would experience the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and that her faith would remain steadfast, knowing that God is her refuge and strength.

The leaves of that tree which grow from the Root of David, even the very least things about Christ, are for the healing of the nations. There is no sickness so deep, no return of the disease so stubborn, that His healing virtue cannot overtake it. When the poor soul cried, “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed,” it was not a wish cast into the wind, but a prayer anchored upon a sure foundation. There is a balm in Gilead, and a Physician there whose cures never fail. Though the earthly medicines seem spent and the waters of Marah grow bitter, cast the whole weight of this trial upon Him who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows. He is the Friend that sticketh closer than a brother, and brothers in the flesh may fail, but this Jesus, the sinner’s Friend, loves at all times, even at the time when the darkness seems to say He has forgotten.
Bring your dear friend in the arms of faith to that great conduit Head, from which healing streams flow down to men below. I cannot promise that the healing shall come in the form you desire, for He is wisdom itself and maketh no mistakes; but this I know, when the Sun of Righteousness arises, healing is in His wings, and pardon and healing walk hand in hand. Beseech Him for body and soul together, for often the sickness of the flesh is a window through which the Great Physician enters to cure the spirit. Commit this precious one to Jesus Christ, day after day, saying, “My Lord, here is my heart and hers, I leave it with Thee.” Lean hard upon Him when the way is dark; He is the poor man’s Friend, the Friend of the helpless, and He will not forsake His own.
