We understand that you're feeling the need for support and spiritual warfare against feelings of revenge. Firstly, we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places, as Ephesians 6:12 tells us: For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, it is very appropriate to seek prayer from fellow believers. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 says: There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
However, we must also remember that the Bible clearly teaches us to forgive and not seek revenge. Romans 12:19 says: Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer who is feeling the weight of revenge. We pray that you will deliver them from this burden and fill their heart with forgiveness and peace. We rebuke any spirits of bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness that may be influencing them, and we ask you to surround them with your love and protection. Guide them in your truth by your Holy Spirit and strengthen them to forgive as you have forgiven us.
We also pray for their spiritual growth and discernment, that they may be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Putting on the whole armor of God, that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all things, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around the waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted the feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, besides all these, taking the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints; and on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the Good News, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:11-20
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
Be encouraged, stand firm in your faith, and remember that God is always with you. Psalm 119:114 says: You are my refuge and my shield. I have put my hope in your word. Trust in him, and he will deliver you from these feelings of revenge. Blessings in Jesus name.
