Battles

We hear the weariness in your heart, dear brother or sister, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who has already won the ultimate victory over every spiritual battle. The Word of God assures us that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). You are not fighting alone, we join you in this battle, wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and standing firm in the armor He provides.

First, we must rebuke the enemy’s lies and oppression in Jesus’ name. The devil seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came so that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). We command every spirit of discouragement, exhaustion, and despair to flee from you right now. You are a child of the Most High God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We declare that the blood of Jesus covers you, and His authority breaks every chain that has sought to bind you for too long.

We also encourage you to examine your life for any areas where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Are there unconfessed sins, bitterness, unforgiveness, or idols (even good things that have taken God’s place) that need to be surrendered to the Lord? Scripture warns us, "Neither give place to the devil" (Ephesians 4:27 WEB). Let us pray together for repentance, cleansing, and renewal in every area of your life.

Now, let us pray with you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name. We lift up our beloved brother/sister to You, knowing that You see their struggles and their weariness. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen them with Your might and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We declare that the enemy has no authority over them, for they belong to You. Break every chain, silence every lying voice, and flood their heart with Your truth.

Father, we ask that You would reveal any areas of their life where the enemy has gained access, and we pray for repentance and restoration. Cleanse them with the blood of Jesus and fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).

We thank You, Lord, that You are fighting for them even now. We declare victory over this spiritual warfare, for You have already overcome the world (John 16:33 WEB). Fill them with hope, joy, and unwavering faith in Your promises. May they walk in the freedom and authority that is theirs as Your child.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm on God’s promises and to surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9 WEB). The battle may be long, but the victory is already won. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and run with endurance the race set before you (Hebrews 12:1-2 WEB). You are not alone, we are with you, and more importantly, God is with you. Press on, dear one, for His glory and your freedom.

We hear you, years of spiritual battle can wear down even the strongest faith, and the tiredness you feel is real. When the fight drags on, it’s easy to wonder if anything is changing or if you have the stamina to keep going. What you’re describing isn’t a failure; it’s the cost of long-term engagement, and we respect that deeply.

One thing that helps us in these seasons is remembering that God’s work in us often unfolds like a marathon, not a sprint. The daily choice to keep praying, keep trusting, keep showing up, even when we don’t feel a breakthrough, is itself part of the training that shapes enduring faith. You’re not alone in this kind of slow, steady warfare, and you don’t have to carry it all by yourself. A practical step that has strengthened many we know is simply sharing the burden with one or two trusted believers who will pray with you regularly, not just for you. Even a brief weekly check-in or a prayer time with a close friend can remind you that this battle isn’t yours alone.

We’re praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, you know the weariness this one carries, the long nights, the repeated struggles, the longing for relief. Please give fresh wind for this marathon. Let your presence feel near and your strength be unmistakable, even in small, quiet ways. Guard their heart from discouragement and renew their hope. Surround them with people who will stand with them in prayer and carry part of the weight. We ask for your peace that surpasses understanding to settle deep in their spirit today. In your strong name we pray, amen.

Long have you stood upon the battlefield of the soul, where the enemy assails without ceasing. But be of good cheer; your warfare is not endless, for Christ hath already overcome, and the promise stands sure: “They shall never perish.” The weariness that now bows you down is known to the Captain of your salvation, and He will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able to bear. Your very exhaustion proves you have contended long, and the Spirit within you witnesses that you are no coward, but a soldier graced by God.

Consider this: the doctrine of the final perseverance of the saints is a cordial for fainting hearts. He that began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Your safety rests not upon your own failing grip, but upon the grasp of the Almighty, who hath declared, “They shall not depart from Me.” This is perseverance in holiness, wrought by His effectual power. The redemption secured at Calvary is no half-finished thing; it brings forth silver and gold from the house of bondage, and leads you out by a way you knew not. Even now, though you cross the brook Jabbok trembling, you shall meet an Esau reconciled, God turns the hearts of foes into friends.

I remember my own young days, when the thought of final perseverance was the very star that led me to the door of hope. It is still my joy to preach it, for it comforts the downcast and awakens the secure. You are not called to wage war in your own strength. The deliverance comes, not by the removal of every temptation, but by the creating word of God that says, “Be light,” in the midst of your darkness. The hour of mercy struck in Heaven before you were born, and the ransom is found. Therefore, lift up your head. The righteous shall hold on his way, and you are counted among them, not because you never stagger, but because your Lord never fails.

Rest in this: your warfare shall be accomplished, your iniquity pardoned, and your spirit set at liberty. Go forward, for He brings forth His captives with rejoicing. I shall join my prayers with yours, but I beseech you, do not wait for a sign, take the promise as already fulfilled. The archers have sorely grieved you, but they cannot shatter the shield of faith. Lay hold of the eternal life whereunto you are called, and let the bones that were broken rejoice.

You speak of being tired of this spiritual warfare, and that weariness itself shows you are in the thick of the good fight. The body is not evil; it can be made an arm of righteousness, but that requires a hard warfare, and we need strong arms, sobriety, and continual vigilance. Do not look for deliverance by escaping the battle, for to those who hope in things to come, God grants something greater than removal of the trial: He persuades the soul to despise the very things that assail it.

Short is the present life, small the labor. But if you toil not at this most glorious toil spent on repentance and virtue, you will assuredly toil and weary yourself in other ways. Why not choose the toil whose fruit is abundant and recompense greater? The victory here is not like others. In wars, to fall is defeat; with us, to suffer wrongfully is to conquer. The rocks in the sea, by being struck, break the waves. So the saints win the tranquil victory not by striking back, but by endurance alone. Do not stir yourself nor weary yourself; let the adversary marvel at an invincible power that conquers without entering the conflict.

You are not unarmed. The Commander stands ever ready, abiding unconquerable, and He has furnished you with strong arms. When you hope for what you do not see, you wait with patience, and even that hope is your contribution to salvation. The battle grows fiercer when the enemy sees your good training, but that is when your salvation is most put into action and your crown grows brighter. Pray to be delivered from every snare, devilish sin, and besetment of the adversary, and then press on. No warfare that comes from those joined together in faith can break you, but the mischief is being divided. Stand firm, then, rousing yourself with confidence, and you will advance quickly to the place where weariness ends and the crown remains.
