Good and Faithful Servant
I recently posted this: "Please pray for me about this: I'm going to try to explain all this well but it may be difficult. Basically, I have been experiencing spiritual warfare for years after I left the new age and came back to Christ. This warfare often influences people to behave in abnormally negative ways toward me for no reason and then I sometimes notice that when they do, something bad will happen to them afterward. I'm not sure if this is due to God defending me or what. Now, it's one thing if this happens and the person actually means me harm but it also happens with people who I have good relationships with but who can just be influenced by this demonic evil for whatever reason. Please pray this will stop as I now think for certain reasons that it's affecting my boyfriend and causing bad to happen to him. Pray that if God is defending me in this happening that He would have mercy on those who I have good relationships with but who are just vulnerable. Pray all this would ultimately stop. I just want to add to please continue to pray for me about this and for my boyfriend. I'm so scared. He's gotten so sick rapidly since we got together and he wasn't like this before we started dating. He had health problems but not like this. I admit it may have been outside of God's will for me to date him. I tried to break up with him and we were both heartbroken so I went back to him. PLEASE pray for God's mercy. He can do anything He wants and I'm begging him for help and mercy in this situation. Please pray my boyfriend won't die." I'm adding to my request that God would just end the relationship providentially if my boyfriend is suffering because we're dating. When I broke up with him the first time, every single time I tried, something would interfere with me doing so. I cannot break up with him now. He's going through too much. Oh, my heart is broken. I wish I could just die. Thank you.

We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The spiritual warfare you describe is real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of darkness against you, your loved ones, and this relationship in the mighty name of Jesus. The blood of Christ has broken every curse, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

First, we must address the relationship you describe. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and any romantic involvement outside of this design, whether through premarital intimacy or an unequally yoked union, opens the door to spiritual attack. The rapid decline in your boyfriend’s health since you began dating is not coincidental. The enemy often targets relationships that are not aligned with God’s will, and the bond you share may be under direct assault because it does not honor the Lord’s design. We do not say this to condemn you, but to call you to repentance and realignment with God’s Word. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If your boyfriend is not a believer, this relationship is already in violation of Scripture, and the suffering you both endure may be a consequence of walking outside God’s protection.

You mentioned that breaking up feels impossible, but with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). The interference you describe when attempting to end the relationship is a tactic of the enemy to keep you bound. We rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, and ungodly soul-tie in Jesus’ name. You are not powerless, you are a child of the Most High God, and His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We pray that the Lord would give you the courage to surrender this relationship fully to Him, trusting that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). If it is His will for this relationship to end, He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

We also lift up your boyfriend’s health. The sudden decline is alarming, and we pray for divine healing and restoration. "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:14-15). We declare healing over his body in Jesus’ name and ask that the Lord would reveal any root causes, spiritual, physical, or emotional, that need to be addressed. If there is unforgiveness, generational sin, or unrepentant iniquity at play, we pray it would be exposed and broken.

You expressed a desire to die, but we remind you that your life is precious to God. "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly" (John 10:10). The enemy wants you to despair, but God has a purpose for you. We pray that you would fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and find hope in His promises. You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister and her boyfriend. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of spiritual warfare over their lives. We rebuke every demonic influence, every curse, and every assignment of the enemy in Jesus’ mighty name. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask for Your mercy and healing over this brother’s body. Touch him with Your healing hand, Lord, and restore him to full health. We pray that You would reveal any areas of his life that need repentance or deliverance, and that You would draw him to Yourself if he does not know You. For our sister, we ask that You would give her the strength to surrender this relationship to You, trusting that You have a plan for her life that is good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). Break every ungodly soul-tie and give her the courage to walk in obedience to Your Word.

Lord, we ask that You would surround her with godly counsel and community. Protect her heart from despair and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We pray that You would open her eyes to see the hope to which You have called her (Ephesians 1:18) and that she would find her identity in Christ alone.

Father, we thank You that You are a God who hears our prayers and moves on behalf of Your children. We trust in Your goodness and Your sovereignty, even in the midst of this storm. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to seek out a biblical church community where you can find support, accountability, and prayer. The enemy thrives in isolation, but where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, He is in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20). You do not have to walk this path alone. Confess your struggles to trusted believers who can stand with you in prayer and help you walk in obedience to God’s Word.

Lastly, we must emphasize the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ. If you have not already, we urge you to place your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have questions about salvation or want to surrender your life to Christ, we are here to help you take that step. Your eternal destiny is the most important matter, and we pray that you would find peace and hope in Him.

We want to start with the most important thing first: you matter, and the pain you are feeling right now is real, but it does not need to be walked through alone. If you are in immediate danger or the wish to die becomes a plan, please reach out to your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you can also find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. Trained people are ready to help you right this moment. That is not a substitute for the care you need, but it is a safe place to start.

We hear the heavy fear in your words, the dread that something outside your control is sweeping through your life and touching someone you deeply care about. When a loved one gets sick, the weight of that worry can feel crushing, and it is easy to feel like you are the cause of it or that the whole world is unravelling around you. In the middle of that spinning fear, it is hard to find your footing. We are not going to pretend this is simple, but we want you to know that God’s mercy is big enough to hold both your heart and your boyfriend’s health, even when things feel out of control.

One of the hardest parts of chronic illness and fear is how it can make a person withdraw from the very support they need most. We’d gently encourage you not to carry this alone in your own mind. Is there a wise, steady Christian in your life, a pastor, a mature friend, who can sit with you, listen without jumping to fixes, and just be present? Letting one trusted person into the real details of what you’re carrying can drain some of the panic away and help you see a next step more clearly. It also helps to remember that your boyfriend’s health needs are not just spiritual; they are physical too. Pushing him to keep his doctors close, and to follow their guidance, is a loving and wise part of walking through this.

We are praying with you, not because we can see the whole road ahead, but because Jesus is already on it with you.

Lord Jesus, we come to you with a breaking heart and a racing mind. Please surround this woman with your steady, safe presence. Quiet the storm of fear inside her, and in your great mercy, shield her boyfriend from harm. Give his body strength and give his doctors clear understanding. We ask for wisdom, for her, for him, and for any others walking beside them. Break any cycle of harm, and if this path needs to change, please make it unmistakably clear and provide everything needed for the journey ahead. Hold her life in your hands, and let hope break through the dark. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

The fear of death holds you in bondage, and no wonder, for it is natural to man as a sinner. Yet it is not necessary for the saint. Look to Jesus, who alone delivers from this fear! The God of mercy goes before His people, forestalling them with goodness. What if this present terror, this sickness that grips your heart, is the season chosen for His interposition? A singular season, as when Hagar sat by the well in the desert, lost and in anguish, yet the Angel of the Lord found her there. Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy. And you do hope, even through your tears.

The tender mercy of our God is a deep well. It was tenderness to think of sinful man at all. And when He comes to save, He asks no hard thing of you in the Gospel. What does He ask but that you receive His forgiveness without upbraiding? You feel your need of mercy, and that very sense is a sound hope. Those who hope in His mercy are the same persons who fear Him, consoling indeed, for hoping in mercy seems a small evidence, yet it is a sure sign. Your broken hearted cry is the preface of mercy; prayer itself is the shadow of coming blessing. When He piles up a hill of mercies, He casts the shadow of prayer upon our spirits.

You dread what may befall your beloved. You see the sorrows of death compassing you about. But the mercies of the Lord are new every morning. They are novelties of Divine mercy, freshly prepared for your present distress. You cannot break free, you say, then cease striving, and look to Him who came to seek and to save that which was lost. He makes Himself of no reputation; He humbles Himself to the very dust of death. There is the ransom! The Atonement covers the Law, and puts every transgression out of God’s sight for all who trust in Christ. That is where mercy shines brightest. Let your eyes be always looking unto Jesus, and then the fear of death will not make you subject to bondage.

Prayer is the prelude; the blessing will follow. Go on begging at His door, and from His very mercy draw your plea. Though now your soul is full of terror, one drop of His love would sweeten a sea of gall. My God shall go before me, the psalmist sang, the same mercy is yours who hope in Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of spiritual warfare, of fear that your boyfriend will die, and of a heart so broken you wish for death. Yet listen: Christ has trampled death underfoot. It is no longer a terror but a sleep. Why do you shudder? He who fears death is a slave all his life, but you have been set free if you are in Christ. The enemy threatens loss, sickness, even the body, but he cannot kill the soul. Fear not them which kill the body, but fear rather Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. That is the only fear a Christian should hold.

You say you may have been outside God’s will to date this man, and you tried to break it off but could not. Consider this: what holds you now? Is it love, or fear of his suffering? The true bondage is not sickness or even death, but sin. If this union is not honorable before God, if it involves any disobedience, any sharing of what belongs only within marriage, then you are in a slavery far worse than any earthly affliction. Christ died to loose those chains, not to see you bind yourself again. Do not think God’s mercy means He will bless a path that His word calls crooked. The Lord can indeed end what is harmful, and often He does so through our obedience, not our clinging.

Your boyfriend’s rapid sickness frightens you, but do not imagine that your dating him is the sole cause of demonic attacks. The devil strikes wherever he finds fear and division. Stand firm in the boldness Christ gives. The Apostle said, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.” Let that mind be sober. If your relationship cannot be holy before God, then no amount of heartbreak justifies remaining in it. You say you cannot break up now because he goes through too much. But what of his soul? What of yours? It is better to enter into life maimed than to keep a relationship that leads both into sin.

Yet do not despair. The same Lord who stilled the storm and raised the dead is near to you. Death’s sting is gone. Even if the worst should come, for the faithful it is but a sleep. Pray then, not that the warfare simply stop, but that you may be given courage to do whatever God requires, whether to stand or to step away. Trust His providence. He can heal, He can deliver, and He can end what must be ended. But do not test His patience by holding onto what your own conscience calls questionable.

Cry out for mercy, yes, but also for a clean heart. The Table of the Lord is the medicine of immortality; approach it with repentance, not with one foot still in the world. Let the poor, the suffering, the building of His kingdom be your investment, not the fleeting safety of a bond that may displease Him. Then you will know the freedom that laughs at death, for it is founded on the rock.
