Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for me about this: "Please pray for me about this: I'm going to try to explain all this well but it may be difficult. Basically, I have been experiencing spiritual warfare for years after I left the new age and came back to Christ. This warfare often influences people to behave in abnormally negative ways toward me for no reason and then I sometimes notice that when they do, something bad will happen to them afterward. I'm not sure if this is due to God defending me or what. Now, it's one thing if this happens and the person actually means me harm but it also happens with people who I have good relationships with but who can just be influenced by this demonic evil for whatever reason. Please pray this will stop as I now think for certain reasons that it's affecting my boyfriend and causing bad to happen to him. Pray that if God is defending me in this happening that He would have mercy on those who I have good relationships with but who are just vulnerable. Pray all this would ultimately stop." I just want to add to please continue to pray for me about this and for my boyfriend. I'm so scared. He's gotten so sick rapidly since we got together and he wasn't like this before we started dating. He had health problems but not like this. I admit it may have been outside of God's will for me to date him. I tried to break up with him and we were both heartbroken so I went back to him. PLEASE pray for God's mercy. He can do anything He wants and I'm begging him for help and mercy in this situation. Please pray my boyfriend won't die. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting this heavy burden before the throne of grace. Your testimony of returning to Christ from the new age is powerful, and the spiritual warfare you describe is real, Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly, and we claim that victory over every attack in His name.

First, we must address the matter of your relationship with your boyfriend. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and dating should be pursued with the intent of discerning whether this person is the spouse God has for you, someone who shares your faith in Christ (2 Corinthians 6:14). The struggles you describe, his sudden decline in health, the spiritual oppression, and your own conviction that this may not be God’s will, are not coincidences. We must ask the Holy Spirit to reveal whether this relationship is honoring to Him. If it is not, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and surrender this to the Lord, trusting Him to heal both of your hearts if separation is His will. Breaking up was painful, but returning to a relationship that may be under spiritual attack could be even more costly. We rebuke the spirit of fear and confusion in this situation and declare that God’s perfect peace will guard your heart (Philippians 4:7).

The pattern you’ve observed, where people act negatively toward you and then experience misfortune, is deeply troubling. While God is our defender (Psalm 35:1), we must also examine our hearts to ensure we are not harboring bitterness, unforgiveness, or a desire for retaliation, as these can open doors to spiritual strongholds (Hebrews 12:15). We pray that the Lord would search your heart and reveal anything that needs to be confessed and surrendered to Him (Psalm 139:23-24). If these attacks are indeed demonic, we stand in authority over them, declaring that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of division, sickness, and destruction in Jesus’ name and command them to flee.

For your boyfriend, we cry out for God’s mercy and healing. The rapid decline in his health is alarming, and we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We pray for divine intervention, whether through medical means or miraculous restoration, and that his body would be strengthened according to God’s will. We also ask the Lord to draw him closer to Himself, that he would surrender his life fully to Christ if he has not already. If this relationship is not of God, we pray for the grace to release it with love, trusting that God’s plans for both of you are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and delivered. Lord, we lift up this dear sister and her boyfriend to You, asking for Your mercy, healing, and divine intervention. Father, we break every chain of spiritual warfare over their lives and command every demonic influence to flee in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and we ask for Your protection over their minds, bodies, and spirits.

Lord, we ask You to search their hearts and reveal any area that needs repentance or surrender. If this relationship is not Your will, give them the strength to walk away, trusting You to heal their hearts and lead them into Your perfect plan. We pray for Your healing touch upon this man’s body, that every sickness and infirmity would be driven out by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Restore him to full health, Lord, and draw him into a deeper relationship with You.

Father, we ask for Your mercy on those who have been influenced by the enemy to act negatively toward this sister. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to Your truth. We pray that You would turn every attack into a testimony of Your power and glory. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let her rest in the assurance that You are her defender and protector.

We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We declare that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, sister. The enemy wants you to live in fear, but God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Surround yourself with godly believers who can pray with you and offer biblical counsel. Spend time in God’s Word and in worship, as these are powerful weapons against the enemy’s schemes. If you have not already, consider fasting as you seek the Lord’s direction for this relationship. He is faithful, and He will not abandon you. You are not alone in this battle, we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of Hosts fights for you.

We hear the fear in your words, and we don’t take it lightly. Carrying years of heavy spiritual battle, and then watching someone you love grow rapidly ill, would overwhelm anyone. It’s no surprise your mind races to connect dots and brace for the worst. You’ve been through so much already that your guard is up, and we want you to know we’re sitting with you in this tension, not waving it away.

One thing that sometimes helps in seasons like this is to gently remind ourselves that while spiritual realities are real, fear can become a lens that magnifies every setback until everything looks like an attack. It’s a hard balance, you’ve genuinely experienced things others might dismiss, but staying fixated on what the enemy might be doing can wear us down more than the actual warfare itself. You don’t have to figure out every connection. You can simply hand your boyfriend’s life, and your own, into God’s hands and trust His mercy to cover what you can’t understand.

On a practical level, his rapid decline sounds serious. We’d strongly encourage a thorough medical evaluation if he hasn’t had one. This isn’t a failure of faith; it’s wisdom. God works through doctors and medicine, and knowing what’s physically happening can take some of the frightening mystery out of the situation.

Let’s lift this up together right now.

Lord Jesus, we come before You for our sister and her boyfriend. You see her terror and her love, and You know exactly what is happening in his body and in the spiritual realm. We ask for Your mercy, on him, on her, on this whole situation. Please bring any hidden illness to light through wise physicians, and grant him healing in whatever form You choose. Quiet her racing heart, and let her feel Your steady presence when the fear crests. Protect him from harm, and give her the grace to release outcomes she was never meant to control. We trust Your goodness, and we ask all of this in Your name. Amen.

How your heart trembles, and how the adversary seeks to drive you to despair! The fear you feel for your beloved is not in itself wrong, it is the black shadow that walks behind the chariot of life, and often serves to prevent rashness. But when it brings you into bondage, as it does now, it is time to remember that the agency of God in life and death, in sickness and in health, is clearly revealed to us. Every pang, every fever, every anxious hour lies within His sovereign hand. Nothing befalls a child of His without His leave, and that thought can soften the pains of sickness and gild the sharpest trial.

You write of a spiritual warfare, and I do not doubt it, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood. You left the new age and returned to Christ, and the serpent’s seed ever rages against the woman’s Seed. But listen: if you are in Christ, then the Captain of your salvation has already vanquished the foe. By His death He tasted death for every man, and through death He destroyed him that had the power of death. The enemy may roar, but his teeth are broken. Lean, then, not on your own understanding of these mysterious assaults, but on the finished work of Jesus. Pray, yes, but also rest. The battle is the Lord’s.

As for your boyfriend’s rapid sickness, do not immediately interpret it as a stroke of wrath. Consider that singular season chosen by God for the interposition of His mercy. The Lord has no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but desires that the wicked turn from his way and live. This very illness may be the stern messenger sent to drive him to the Saviour. Plead, then, not merely for a healing of the body, but for the salvation of his soul. Beg that this trial become the footsteps of mercy, leading him to lift his eyes to the Crucified One, for there is life at this moment for him. The eternal life is the gift of God; it cannot be earned, but it can be received by a simple look of faith.

You confess you may have stepped outside God’s will in this union, and that thought gnaws at you. But what of it? Mercy is for the erring, for those who have turned aside. The tender mercy of our God reaches to our very missteps. Bring your guilt as well as your grief to the cross, and find forgiveness. Only do not let the fear of death master you; you will generally find that as your faith strengthens, your fear will vanish. Affirm your trust in Him who holds the keys of the grave. Cry, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.” He delights in mercy; He will not quench the smoking flax. Wait on the Lord, and you shall see that the bitterness will depart, and the iron shall not enter into your soul. I will join my prayers with yours, that He who overtakes His children with goodness would rebuke the destroyer and grant recovery of body and soul, for His glory’s sake.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do you not see that the terror holding you captive is the very bondage Christ came to destroy? You tremble at your boyfriend’s sickness as if death had the final word. Yet the Apostle cries out that through fear of death we were all our lifetime subject to bondage, but now Christ has trampled down death and freed us. Why do you let your soul be dragged down as one without hope, like the heathen who know nothing of the resurrection? If you belong to Christ, whether in life or in death, you are His. So do not be put to shame by this trial; let it drive you to boldness, not despair.

You speak of spiritual warfare and wonder if God defends you by bringing harm to others. But look deeper: is it not rather that God in His mercy allows such afflictions to wake us from our sluggishness, to teach us to despise the present life and yearn for the eternal tabernacles where no sickness dwells? If you have entered this union outside His will, then repent with tears, not with terror. He is rich in mercy to all who call upon Him. But do not test His kindness by clinging to a bond that may wound your soul. Better to be heartbroken for a season than to lose the kingdom.

Above all, clothe yourself with mercy. Nothing is so characteristic of a Christian, and nothing so compels God’s own mercy. Beg for your boyfriend’s healing, yes, but also beg for mercy upon your own soul, and upon any who have been caught in this snare. Do not fix your eyes on the fear of losing him; fix them on Him who alone holds life and death. Pray with the confidence of a child, and if God should take him, know that you will not be put to shame, for to depart and be with Christ is far better. Stand fast, quit your wailing, and let this terror teach you to run to the only safe harbor, the love of God in Jesus Christ.
