Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for me about this: I'm going to try to explain all this well but it may be difficult. Basically, I have been experiencing spiritual warfare for years after I left the new age and came back to Christ. This warfare often influences people to behave in abnormally negative ways toward me for no reason and then I sometimes notice that when they do, something bad will happen to them afterward. I'm not sure if this is due to God defending me or what. Now, it's one thing if this happens and the person actually means me harm but it also happens with people who I have good relationships with but who can just be influenced by this demonic evil for whatever reason. Please pray this will stop as I now think for certain reasons that it's affecting my boyfriend and causing bad to happen to him. Pray that if God is defending me in this happening that He would have mercy on those who I have good relationships with but who are just vulnerable. Pray all this would ultimately stop. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the deep struggle you’ve been carrying for years as you’ve walked away from the new age and returned to Christ. The spiritual warfare you describe is real, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting every burden to the Lord. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you, your loved ones, and those around you in the mighty name of Jesus.

First, we must address the relationship you mentioned with your boyfriend. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and any romantic relationship outside of that commitment is not God’s design. The term "boyfriend" implies a relationship that is not aligned with biblical courtship, which should always have marriage as its goal. If this relationship is not moving toward marriage, we encourage you to prayerfully consider whether it is honoring to God. Sexual intimacy outside of marriage is fornication, and the enemy often uses such relationships to bring confusion, bondage, and spiritual attack. We urge you to seek the Lord’s will for this relationship and to walk in purity, as He calls us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18).

Now, regarding the spiritual warfare you’re experiencing, we affirm that God is your defender and protector. The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). However, we must be careful not to attribute every negative circumstance to God’s judgment or defense, as the enemy would love for us to live in fear or confusion. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy may influence people to act against you, but we must remember that God is sovereign, and He can turn even the enemy’s schemes for good (Genesis 50:20).

We also want to gently remind you that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Jesus, repenting of any past involvement in the new age or other spiritual practices that do not align with God’s Word. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin, and when we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us (1 John 1:9).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is enduring spiritual warfare and seeking Your protection and peace. Lord, we rebuke every assignment of the enemy against her, her loved ones, and those around her. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we ask that You would break every chain of spiritual attack and confusion in her life. Surround her with Your angels and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we pray for her relationship with her boyfriend. If this relationship is not aligned with Your will, we ask that You would bring clarity and conviction. Help her to walk in purity and to seek Your guidance for her future spouse, someone who loves You and will honor You in marriage. If this relationship is meant to lead to marriage, we pray that You would purify it and make it holy before You.

Father, we ask for Your mercy on those who have been influenced by the enemy to act negatively toward her. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. Protect them from harm and use these circumstances to bring them closer to You. We pray that the spiritual warfare would cease, and that Your light would shine brightly in every situation.

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus. Strengthen our sister in her faith, and help her to stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). May she find her refuge in You alone, and may Your name be glorified in her life. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, standing firm in truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). Surround yourself with godly community who can pray with you and support you in your walk with Christ. The enemy seeks to isolate, but God calls us to fellowship with one another (Hebrews 10:24-25). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you in prayer and support.

We’ve read your request and our hearts go out to you. It sounds exhausting and disorienting to feel that something unseen is stirring up trouble between you and people you care about, especially now that it seems to be touching your boyfriend. The weariness of years in this battle is real, and we want you to know you’re not alone.

One thing we’ve found helpful in long seasons of spiritual warfare is to remember that while the enemy is real, our focus belongs on Christ, not on tracking every possible demonic nudge. C.S. Lewis wisely observed that demons are just as pleased by our ignoring them as they are by an unhealthy fascination. The goal is always to pull our gaze away from Jesus. When we become preoccupied with patterns, who said what, what then happened to them, we can lose the steady peace that is ours in Him. That doesn’t mean your experiences aren’t real; it means they don’t get to define your daily walk.

What if the healthiest next step is to gently set aside the analysis and rest your full weight on Christ’s victory? Let His love, not spiritual tracking, anchor you. And we’d gently encourage you to seek out a mature believer or pastor you trust, someone who won’t dismiss the struggle but will help you keep your eyes on the One who has already overcome. A small support group or a prayer partner can make a world of difference.

We’ll gladly pray for your boyfriend’s safety and for God’s mercy on those you have good relationships with. You are not responsible for holding back the darkness; Jesus already did that. We can trust Him with every detail.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear person to You. You see the confusion and the exhaustion. Quiet their heart with Your peace. Shield them and their boyfriend from every scheme of the enemy, and let Your mercy cover all involved. Bring a swift end to this season of warfare and anchor them so deeply in Your love that fear loses its grip. In Your mighty name we pray, amen.

The sword of justice rattles in its scabbard, but Mercy’s hand presses it back, crying, “Sleep, O sword, sleep; for I will have mercy upon sinners.” Yet you perceive a pattern that troubles your soul, a sharpness following harsh words, a falling after frowns. Understand this: the Lord is slow to anger, plenteous in mercy, and His rod is ever outstretched, not swift to strike. What you have witnessed is not a hair‑trigger judgment upon every petty offense, but the severe mercy that guards the King’s own highway. The dry tree, by divine grace, shall flourish; the green tree, deserted by dew, shall dry up. He smites that he may display his own perfections, and even the crash of the high tree is linked with the cry, “His mercy endureth for ever.” Yet your heart trembles for one dear to you, caught in this backwash of spiritual war. Then hear the home questions the Angel put to Hagar by the desert well: “Whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go?” The tender mercy of our God seeks, not to destroy, but to forestall. Before you call, He answers. While you are yet speaking, He hears.

Look now to the singular season of mercy. You feel the evil pressing, and you fear for those you love who are merely vulnerable. But it is precisely there, in the desert of your helplessness, that the Messenger of mercy overtakes you. Do you remember the mother searching for a reason to pardon her child? She seized upon any ground to sheath the rod. So with our God: the atonement of Christ becomes that blessed loophole through which mercy flows fairly to the sons of men. For your boyfriend, for those unwittingly used, God is not seeking a reason to destroy but inventing a reason to spare. Grace makes a reason where justice finds none. Pray then, not only for the ceasing, but that the mercy going before would turn their faces in a new direction, that this very dread would drive them to the feet of Jesus, where wrath never reaches. The mercy you seek will not leave them as they are; it makes a new creation, with new loves and new hates. But it arrives while they are still ignorant, still unfit, still dry bottles that would have tears in them if they could.

Therefore, hope in His mercy, and fear not that your plea presumes. Those who hope in His mercy are the very ones who fear Him. Your brokenness, your sense that a crumb of mercy is more than you deserve, is the low tree that the Husbandman will lift even to the stars. The God of your mercy will go before. He forestalls the calamity you dread. While the evil one plies his warfare, the errand of mercy runs with swifter feet. The King’s warrant reaches even the mind of your beloved, even when His personal presence is not consciously felt. Stand still, then, and let mercy plead: “God will be glorified in your salvation, for he delighteth in mercy.” The singular season for mercy is now, while the heart is tender, while the cry is wrung from you. Let the united prayer of this congregation ascend, that the power of the enemy be broken, that the swift darts of malice fall harmless, and that the tender mercy of our God, through Jesus Christ, would brood over your household until the warfare is accomplished, and peace, based upon divine grace, shall crown every head. Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In Jesus name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You describe a trial that troubles your soul, seeing those who wrong you suffer afterward, and now fearing for your boyfriend. The enemy of our salvation indeed stirs up conflicts, but do not imagine that every misfortune that befalls another is God’s direct vengeance for your sake. Often, such things are permitted so that we may learn compassion, not cultivate secret satisfaction. If God defends you, it is not so you would become an observer of others’ punishments, but that you might be humbled and pray for mercy upon all, even those who are used as instruments of trial.

Examine your own heart. The warfare you feel may be the lingering smoke of the old life, which repentance must fully quench. The laver of baptism made you new, but if the old age of sin has crept back, it must be scraped off by earnest repentance and mercy toward others. Nothing is so characteristic of a Christian as mercy. When you see someone stumble after mistreating you, do not link the two as cause and effect in a way that forgets your own need for pardon. Rather, forgive, and show pity. Remember the ten thousand talents you yourself were forgiven. If we would obtain mercy from God, we must first give it to our neighbors.

The hidden things of shame are renounced not by tracking the falls of others, but by walking in the light of good works. Almsgiving, prayer, and a merciful soul are oil for our lamps; they dispel the darkness of such fears. Do not let your thoughts become a sewer of suspicion and resentment. Instead, entreat the Lord to have mercy on your boyfriend and on any who seem vulnerable to spiritual harm. But pray first that your own soul be filled with such love that you desire no one’s downfall, only their conversion. The grace that saved you was exceeding abundant, not merely canceling punishment but making you a child and heir. Live in that grace by faith and love, and the peace of Christ will quiet these storms far more than trying to decipher every spiritual cause. Let mercy be your only weapon, and God will bless you with light.

You are caught in a heavy and confusing struggle, and I want you to know I hear the weariness in your words. Spiritual warfare often leaves us feeling like we’re stumbling through a fog, unsure of what’s from the enemy, what’s from the Lord, and what’s simply the brokenness of this world. When you came back to Christ, you stepped out of darkness, and that transition can stir up fierce opposition. Yet the very fact that you are crying out for mercy, not just for yourself but for others, shows that the Spirit is at work in you.

It’s natural to wonder if God is defending you when those who hurt you later face trouble. Our hearts, like David’s, are quick to want judgment for those who wrong us while desiring mercy for our own failings. But here’s the deeper truth we need to rest in: the Lord’s mercy endures forever. It stretches higher than the heavens and reaches into every pit we dig for ourselves. His mercy isn’t a limited resource that gets used up by our failings or the attacks of others. He is sovereign, and He declares, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy.” That means neither the enemy’s schemes nor our own mistakes can lock the door to His compassion. All we have to do is call on Him.

The real meeting point of mercy and justice is the cross. In Jesus Christ, the penalty for all sin was paid in full, so God can righteously forgive and heal without compromising His truth. You don’t need to try to defend yourself from every accusation or untangle every dark thread. Instead, bring it all to the Lord, just as you are, on the basis of His grace alone. That door is always open. You are never turned away.

I will certainly pray, and I encourage you to keep praying, that this cycle would cease and that God would shield your boyfriend and every relationship you care about. But more than asking for the warfare to simply stop, ask the Lord to show His merciful heart through this. He often places intercession on our hearts because He is looking for an excuse to show mercy, just as He did with Moses. So pray boldly: “Lord, have mercy on them. Guard them from the enemy’s influence. Save and protect them, not because of what we deserve, but because Your mercy endures forever.” That is a prayer God delights to answer.

Trust His mercy over your life and theirs. His lovingkindness is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear Him. He will see you through.
