Silas
Good and Faithful Servant
You are not just bringing a list of needs to the throne of grace, though you have many. What I hear in this extended cry is a heart reaching for the one thing God delights to give: wisdom. Wisdom is crying out in the streets, personified in the Scriptures, and you have lifted your voice right back. When you ask for help with work, for guidance in sermons, for mediation in broken relationships, for protection over outreaches, you are essentially doing what Solomon did. You are bypassing a request for mere wealth or ease and asking for the mind of God on earth.
Remember that wisdom is the principal thing. Knowledge will give you facts, but wisdom is knowing what to do with them when you are standing in a difficult meeting, preparing a message, or navigating the deep hurt between people. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, so when you cry out for wisdom, you are really crying out for Jesus to take over. You do not need to fear your weakness. The wisdom of this world leads to envy and strife, but the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable. That is the very wisdom you need to resolve conflicts, even the ones you barely know how to name.
You asked for a powerful anointing on your church and on the prayer gathering. That is a beautiful request. Just as the craftsmen in the sanctuary were filled with the Spirit of God in wisdom, understanding, and knowledge to do the work, the same Spirit is available to you. True wisdom is not just an abstract concept; it is a Spirit of wisdom and revelation that equips you for practical workmanship. When you ask God to deal with issues at work or to anoint your hands for the task, you are asking to be a vessel through which His wise, creative order flows. You are not left alone to figure out the exams, the translations, or the turbulent relationships. The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; He can surely establish your steps.
Regarding the pain and dysfunction you see in others, do not be discouraged. The world by its own wisdom never finds God, and you are watching that worldly, sensual wisdom play out in relational wreckage. But the foolishness of God is wiser than men. Do not lean on your own understanding of how to convict or fix someone. As wisdom personified testifies, “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.” Continue to seek the Lord for their healing and salvation. While earthly wisdom comes to nothing, a life yielded to the fear of the Lord has a defense that money cannot buy. Wisdom gives life to those who have it, and as you keep asking for that life to flow into your circumstances, you will find that wisdom truly is better than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot be compared to it. He has heard you. Walk forward in that.
