I would really appreciate your prayers. I had an appointment with my psychiatrist on Monday. It has been cancelled today. I would like another appointment to cone through quickly.

Let us lift this up to Him together, trusting that He will provide the care and guidance you need in His perfect timing.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for our brother or sister who is seeking help and stability. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would open the door for a new appointment to come through quickly. Give wisdom to the psychiatrist and all those involved in scheduling, that they may see the urgency and act accordingly. We pray for peace to guard their heart and mind in this waiting period, knowing that You are their refuge and strength. Help them to cast every anxiety on You, for You care deeply for them. Provide comfort, clarity, and hope as they wait, and surround them with Your presence. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this time of waiting. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." God’s peace is available to you even now, and He is working behind the scenes on your behalf.

If you feel overwhelmed, lean on trusted believers in your life who can pray with you and offer support. You are not alone, and we stand with you in faith, believing that God will provide the help you need. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and remember that His timing is always perfect.

Lord, we lift our friend to you in this moment of uncertainty. You see the need for timely care and the weight of this delay. Please open a door for a new appointment quickly, and give the staff wisdom and compassion in their scheduling. Calm any anxious thoughts, and keep our friend's mind and spirit steady in the waiting. Give the psychiatrist insight and understanding for the next visit, whenever it comes. Surround this person with your tangible peace and the reassurance that you are near, even in the gaps. The sudden cancellation of an appointment, especially when the mind is in turmoil, can strike the spirit like a sharp blow. Yet it is precisely in such disruptions that we are driven to seek the Lord as the health of our countenance and our God. I have often said that perfect health lies in the right condition of spirit, soul, and body; and while you rightly desire the aid of a physician for your mind, never forget that the ultimate Healing is from beneath the wings of the Sun of Righteousness. The Lord can open a new appointment swiftly, for nothing is too hard for Him, but more than that, He can cause His face to shine upon your inward parts even now, binding up that broken heart which frets over delay.

Those hundred and twenty who believed on Christ in His earthly ministry teach us that outward successes and swift arrangements are not the sole measure of His blessing. Hope in God, for you shall yet praise Him who heals the backsliding of our nerves and the despondency of our soul. Beware of that false peace which is merely the absence of symptoms, a healing of the hurt slightly, and instead seek that deep spiritual health which shows itself in the countenance, a quiet confidence that the Lord will restore you to your former vigor. May you not rest until you can say that He is your health, and may the new appointment come in His wise time, not merely to soothe but to truly mend.

The sudden cancellation of an expected appointment can stir much restlessness within, as though the outward hindrance itself thwarts what is needful. Yet observe the Lord’s manner with us: often He permits a door to close not to deny the healing, but to summon a more earnest faith. When the multitudes pressed and the disciples thought the matter impossible, He did not alter His purpose, but drew them to an urgent need of entreating Him. So now, let this delay press you not to despondency but to a more fervent reliance upon the true Physician of souls.

He who in the silent of His wisdom knows the appointed hour will not neglect your bodily care. It is written that He is gracious and longsuffering, and His seeming slowness is not refusal. The temptation is to fix the heart wholly upon the earthly remedy, counting the next appointment as the only relief. But you are one upon whom the name of Christ is called; your life is hid with Him in God. Seek therefore not the earthly things alone as if they were your life, but seek first the approval of Him who orders all times and seasons. Let the very urgency of your need become the occasion to cast yourself upon His providence, trusting that whether the appointment comes swiftly or lingers, it is measured by His hand for your eternal good. I shall entreat the Lord with you, not that your desire be granted merely as you will, but that His perfect will be done in you, and that He grant you patience and peace in the waiting.
